Grupotel Club Cala Marsal - New Reopening 2025

The hotel is renovated, with large and clean rooms. 5 stars for daily cleaning and towel changes. The food is practically the same every day, but there's a wide selection. A big plus for the beautiful beach across from the hotel, although sunbeds are available for a fee. Unfortunately, the pools aren't heated. Overall, it was a very pleasant vacation.

Cala Marsal Hotel has been fully renovated and looks fantastic—modern, stylish, and very comfortable. The location is great too: just a short walk to a clean, pleasant beach with warm water, and still within walking distance of the town center (though nicely tucked away). We also really liked the wellness area!
The only area that really shows its age is the pools—they seem older, with some rusty spots, and don’t quite match the fresh look of the rest of the hotel.
Still, overall we had a lovely stay here and really enjoyed the atmosphere.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The property has been beautifully renovated, and the breakfast buffet was fantastic, with exceptionally friendly staff making the morning experience even better. The wellness area is lovely, and the bay with its picture-perfect beach is absolutely stunning – a real highlight.
There are a couple of downsides: the sauna is often used without towels, which can feel a bit unhygienic, and the rooms are only cleaned with a broom, so they’re not completely spotless.
Overall, though, it’s a gorgeous hotel with great amenities and a breathtaking location – I will definitely visit again!

An absolutely fantastic stay at Grupotel Cala Marsal Nature Hotel! The staff were incredible – a big shoutout to Manuel, Joanna, Andres, and the reception team for their kindness and professionalism. They truly made us feel at home.

The food was outstanding – versatile, delicious, and full of variety. Every meal felt like a new experience!

The beach nearby is picture-perfect, with crystal-clear waters just steps from the hotel – the perfect spot to relax.

We also loved how the management was always present, checking in with guests and making sure everyone felt welcome and cared for.

This hotel is in a fabulous location, very close to a wonderful, accessible beach. Plenty of sunbeds around both pool areas. The gym is small but has a reasonable number of options. The animation team work hard and provide a varied level of entertainment, and there is music around the pool area between 10.30am and mid afternoon.

The hotel is a little bit tired in places, but overall it is clean and tidy. WiFi is free and works fine.

The staff are generally good, with some exceptions towards excellence and jobsworthiness. I developed a good rapport with one barman who initially seemed a little grumpy, but after a few smiles and me making an effort trying to speak Spanish he opened up a little and was actually good fun. The other end of the scale is another barman who refused to make drinks that weren't on the drinks menu even though the ingredients were there and included in the all inclusive package. Water is available in bottles from the bars but not free after 11pm. There are rules and once you know them, you need to go with them. Seems pretty silly though.

Service levels need some work in some areas, smiles are free to give and are worth a lot.

The restaurant table staff are good, clearing plates efficiently and setting up clean ones quickly.

Would I stay here again? Yes.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and ate out for lunch and tea. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is as expected for an all inclusive style breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold foods.
The pools are nice and were not busy at all with plenty of sunbeds - we did travel start of September though.
Where this hotel excels is it's location, as its literally a stones throw from the beach which is absolutely stunning with crystal clear warm water to swim in and a number of very high quality restaurants within walking distance.

I enjoyed my week staying there. The entertainment team is fantastic, Lukas should get a raise, he works very hard. The food was fresh and very good. The room is basic but all you need and especially the aircon works well. The service on the other hand (only at the main entrance) was poor. But other than that i would definitely recommend this hotel.
