Grupotel Club Cala Marsal - New Reopening 2025

This hotel is in a fabulous location, very close to a wonderful, accessible beach. Plenty of sunbeds around both pool areas. The gym is small but has a reasonable number of options. The animation team work hard and provide a varied level of entertainment, and there is music around the pool area between 10.30am and mid afternoon.

The hotel is a little bit tired in places, but overall it is clean and tidy. WiFi is free and works fine.

The staff are generally good, with some exceptions towards excellence and jobsworthiness. I developed a good rapport with one barman who initially seemed a little grumpy, but after a few smiles and me making an effort trying to speak Spanish he opened up a little and was actually good fun. The other end of the scale is another barman who refused to make drinks that weren't on the drinks menu even though the ingredients were there and included in the all inclusive package. Water is available in bottles from the bars but not free after 11pm. There are rules and once you know them, you need to go with them. Seems pretty silly though.

Service levels need some work in some areas, smiles are free to give and are worth a lot.

The restaurant table staff are good, clearing plates efficiently and setting up clean ones quickly.

Would I stay here again? Yes.

We stayed on a bed and breakfast basis and ate out for lunch and tea. The hotel is nice, clean and the staff are friendly. Breakfast is as expected for an all inclusive style breakfast with a good selection of hot and cold foods.
The pools are nice and were not busy at all with plenty of sunbeds - we did travel start of September though.
Where this hotel excels is it's location, as its literally a stones throw from the beach which is absolutely stunning with crystal clear warm water to swim in and a number of very high quality restaurants within walking distance.

I enjoyed my week staying there. The entertainment team is fantastic, Lukas should get a raise, he works very hard. The food was fresh and very good. The room is basic but all you need and especially the aircon works well. The service on the other hand (only at the main entrance) was poor. But other than that i would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel has a very pretty beach ( cala madrsal) 100 mt walk. The building is very big and some rooms are big too (others are smaller and not very trendy). You can find a beautiful garden outside the hotel building with 4 swimming pools. The gym is free and it opnes every day from 8 am to 8 pm. The wi-fi is free in the hall. The staff is very polite and they do their best in order to help guest desires (they changed our room from a small one to a bigger one), they also speak french italian English and spanish fulently. There is also the possibility to have all inclusive treatmen with various dishes and you will have also water and local wine.

Hotel was good, we like it. I reccomend car rent Bennasar. It's about 200 m from hotel above the beach Cala Marsal. Small car cost about 35 euro. The car rent from hotel (ROIG) is very expensive.

We see,that many people have one little problem-the transfer from the airport to the hotel and return trip! The transfer with bus is cheap-this is good,but you lose 3 to 5 hours the first day, and 3 to 5 hours the last day. You lose almost 2 days from you holiday time!

Great location, rooms are a bit cramped on the 7th floor, very stuffy. The restaurant "Steak House" great service. The beach is close — at "4"
