Reviews
- Booking: Junior-Suit with seaview, all incl., 1 + 1 child of 12 years
- Food: huge variety on meals every day (some stuff does repeat of course), snacks available at the pool bistro. Staff is very quick, you will wait only seconds before they pick up your order from drinks and serve them as quickly.
- The bartenders are very capable and will happily fulfill your custom requests. The menue for free drinks is limited but most of the common drinks and cocktails are free within the allincl. package
- Pool: perfect size. No need to be early and reserve a seat at the pool. You can reserve bali style lounge seats for 70€ a week or 18€ a day if you want a little more comfort. It fits 3-4 persons (or 4 if you have toddlers). Pool is overlooked by dedicated staff to ensure security.
- Noise: Quite calm. You might hear some music from nearby hotels at night. But nothing that could keep you from sleeping well (usually the programs are ending before 23:00h). We did not hear any street noise while in the hotel and at the pool.
- Room: Very comfortable king size bed, which is actually two beds which you can move seperately (but not moving while we slept on it) Bathroom with tub and shower. Two sinks with large mirror. Bidet nice feature. The furniture is not in pefect condition. You will find some slight damages here and there but nothing which should bother you. Large balcony. You can sit there comfortably with 4 persons and enjoy the:
- Seaview: direct seaview, however the hotel is kind of in the second row (but no obstruction of view by other buildings). The view was beautiful anyways and worth the money.
We will come back for sure! Thanks a lot
- Wifi: excellent Wifi in all rooms and at the pool. Was able to stream movies on tablets and phones without buffering.
We booked this hotel based on its advertised child-friendly facilities, as we were two families traveling with one-year-old babies. This was a very special trip for us — our sons were meeting for the first time and celebrating their first birthdays.
From the very first interaction at reception, the staff were shockingly rude and unprofessional. We contacted the hotel in advance regarding an issue in the confirmation document and received no response. The issue is initiated by a Booking.com bug that displays the wrong number of guests in certain cases despite the full payment and is explained in this video https://youtu.be/kfZf-8u9ELQ. But upon arrival, instead of a warm welcome after a long, late journey, they immediately brought up the exact issue we had messaged about — clearly having read our message but deliberately choosing not to reply — and demanded a substantial extra payment in front of our families and tired children.
This issue is not uncommon when booking a room with a child, and previous hotels handled it with understanding and professionalism. But here, we were forced to pay nearly half of the original booking cost again, just to be allowed to continue staying in our rooms. Even Booking.com sided with us, but said the hotel refused to cooperate.
The overall experience went downhill from there. The hotel itself is outdated and extremely average — nowhere near the quality we paid for. The food was bland, repetitive, and of low quality; we had meals included, but ended up eating out every day — even for the children — because there was simply nothing suitable for them on offer. Restaurant staff were consistently rude. Every time we asked about a high chair, we were told (with attitude) to “go find it yourself.”
The pool was tiny — more like something from a private home than a resort. The poolside snack bar was almost always out of proper food, and we had to leave the hotel even for basic snacks.
As for simple things like pool towels, you had to fill out a form, leave a deposit, and you could only exchange them every three days — all under the name of “protecting the environment.” But in practice, this policy felt like a way to cut corners while disrespecting guests. We understand the importance of sustainability, but guests should be offered the option to reuse towels — not be forced to keep wet ones, especially when traveling with small children who require more frequent changes.
In short, this hotel felt like a cheap, poorly-managed 3-star, not worth the money, not child-friendly, and certainly not guest-friendly. We will never return and strongly discourage others from booking here.
In fact, this experience was so disappointing that we had to plan another trip — just to erase the bad memories from this one.
First off, the entire staff is great. Everyone is very friendly, helpful and inviting. Everyone gives their all.
The 4 star rating has nothing to do with the hotel or staff, but the demographic of guests. The first time was around May 2023 and the all-around experience was great. The food, the atmosphere. Very relaxing.
Now, in June 2025, it's different. The main demographic is young German families with at least 1 to 2 kids. This consists of at least 90% of the guests, and it has been noticed.
The dining area is overrun at certain times. It is impossible to have a decent dining experience with the circus that goes on. Loud and almost unbearable at times.
It's important to learn the peak times to avoid the circus, so you can maybe have a halfway decent dining experience.
The rudeness of some mainly German guests while dining is another issue. If you have a good idea how personal space, patience and space awareness works, you will be taken advantage of. You will be cut in line or boxed out. I have never had so many people squeeze next to you trying to get their scoop of food while I myself am trying to carefully to put some on my plate.
I feel at times like I am in a third-world country and everyone is fighting for the UNICEF food handout.
The food is still pretty good, especially on Fridays when they serve tacos.
Having had a room on the 7th floor and now having one on the 3rd have proven now how thin the walls are. Hearing children run back and forth at 7:45 in the morning is always a great way to start your day. Or in the hallway when little Linus isn't listening, again.
In the future, I might have to try an adults hotel again.
It's hard to say that I would never come back since the service is so friendly. Really great.
Nonetheless, if you have kids, this is probably the hotel for you. They have a ton of kids activities.
I eventually spoke to the hotel manager for more than an hour... where no financial discount could be done from the bill despite a planned turnover of over €4,000 for rooms only for February as I saw in his office! He eventually offered a gesture (lunch meal) which I didn't accept as I had planned my trip to another place to stay.
