Great hotel 1 hour from the airport
Beautiful hotel, big rooms with big beds
Lovely powerful shower, great views from our balcony. Beautiful massive beach next to the hotel. Beautiful big swimming pools with slides for smaller and bigger kids also adults and a foam party was lot of fun.
Food is lovely and drinks are name branded from a glass bottles which was included in the all inclusive. Staff are all working hard so everything is running smoothly. Entertainment was fun.
Few shops and a supermarket outside the hotel, town is only 10 minutes away in a taxi which was very cheap.
Great family holiday in Almeria !!!

Absolutely not recommended! Horrible experience before departure. The same maid cleaned our room and on the last day she kept asking me what time we would leave the room and what time we would fly out. I had a $450 perfume lying on the sink the whole time I was there. I never dreamed that in Europe, a staff member would steal my perfume in a 4-star hotel. I reported it to the reception and hotel management, I've been trying to reach a solution for almost a week, but the hotel is not communicating with me. Their attitude shows how they don't respect their clients. The last point was that there were nails sticking out of the wooden pier. No one is maintaining it. My son cut his leg on the way to the shower. Don't go there! The hotel deletes all negative reviews. The customer has no chance to know the truth!

Great location beach front BUT hotel does not have a private beach, need to pay €10 to use beach chairs and parasols. Beach is small pebble not sand.
The hotel is nice, spacious rooms and good size bathrooms, rooms are cleaned every day and fresh towels offered. Working AC which is a must. Cleaning staff very friendly.
Pool has a lot of loungers very close together and people smoke so be ready to be very close to strangers. There is no large pool but a labyrinth with some mini jacuzzis which are quite fun. Kids area is very nice and seemed fun. Kiddies will like this place.
Food is like any other all inclusive, in low season the food was not varied. Breakfast options quite limited, lunch and dinner has fresh fish and variety of meats. Selection of salad very similar. The fruits were the highlight of every meal. Chocolate fountain at dinner buffet.
Drinks as you can expect cheap liquor so best to stay with the beer, quite good. Also available at the bar ice creams, slushy, and snacks.
Italian restaurant by the pool offers snacks and light lunch options. Just make sure to cover up as indicate by the door.
For vegetarian people the options are very limited, for any allergies best to check before dishing since the food labels are often incorrect.
Bar staff very nice and friendly.
Restaurant staff over worked and tired. They chose who to be nice to. We had a very bad experience with one of the waiters when he got really mad because we sat at the end of a row of tables that was for large groups, the group never came. He was very rude and didn’t realise I spoke Spanish, it was quite bad so from then on we avoided the person.
Roquetas de Mar is not close to Almería, do not rely on the bus to take you there, there are no bus timetables, you could spend at least 40mins waiting for the bus.
Also, there are no activities in the area, and very few shops. The area itself is still being developed for tourism.
The hotel is mainly catered for Spaniards.

English Tourist Review
I booked this holiday in January 2025 for the 30th May till 6th June. On arrival, reception staff were friendly and welcoming.
The room was semi clean - the floor was clean around the beds but not under, the beds were made and clean and the view from the balcony(sea view room) was amazing. The bathroom is small, the casing around the sink is very large so it causes problems with getting in and out the shower when the glass pane is there and the door is open. Loads of toilet roll was provided. There is no tea/coffee/water provided in the room but there is a fridge. The TV had 2 Spanish channels on.
With previous experience in hotels with there being a shop on sight, I was shocked to find out that there was one on this complex and you had to exit the hotel and walk 5 mins down the road to the shop (not very well stocked), 3/4 gift shops across the road from the hotel. That was all that was nearby without having to walk 20/25mins further out. There was the road train station outwit the hotel that provided a number of stops throughout the day.
The swimming pools were amazing especially now the lazy river was open and was a lot of fun. The slides are very quick and fun. Please note that all the pools are fresh water or salt water so advised to take goggles as on the first day our eyes were stinging! There is a good amount of lifeguards that constantly watch over the pools and the slides.
Evening entertainment
This was a let down. The kids mini disco from 9.15pm - 9.45pm consisted of the same 5 songs every night and the same 3 characters on different nights. It was very boring! It was then a 30 mins wait until the adult entertainment started which consisted of either a rock band, singer or flamenco dancers. All the singers sang in Spanish and 1 in English. This entertainment was such a let down with it being late for children and then having to hang around for ages for the next act.
Food
Horrible. Not much of a selection for either mains or desserts or fruit just pie apple or watermelon. The food was just bland and boring, continental breakfasts with pancakes over at the grill. Lunch and evening meals for just the same, cold meat selection and then stews or port steaks from the grill with a selection of different potatoes/chips. Good selection of branded ice lollies and ice creams.

This is a very Spanish tourist hotel so if you are hoping to meet people who at English I wouldn’t recommend. It also appears to be that English adults are given a yellow band which is suppose to be the all inclusive but it turns out there is also an all inclusive plus (blue band) which everybody else who’s wasn’t English was wearing.
If you have booked the all inclusive and not the all inclusive +, be prepared to pay for the a la carte restaurants as these are not included in the standard inclusive.
The beach was lovely but isn’t a sandy beach and is more of a gravely beach which you are required to pay €5 for a sunbed for. Not good for little ones who want to build a suncastle.
Lots of sunbeds available bet as I didn’t really go at a peak time gods knows what it’s like in the summer!

I have recently been there for about two weeks with my husband and my two young children. We have really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very helpful kind and welcoming. We have also enjoyed the pools, mini club, activities and entertainment at night. Food and drinks provision was great and there were plenty of places to get snacks and drinks from throughout the day. We were pleased with the high standards of service and cleanliness in our room and in communal areas. Although the hotel was very busy, we were not affected and didn’t experience any discomfort or long queues at meal times. Lastly I want to say thank you to all the staff especially to Jose and Azhara that made the whole family feel involved in the hotel activities; the kids had great fun in the mini club.

All inclusive not worth the money. We liked the staff as all of them were very friendly and helpful. Food was very similar every day. The buffet between main courses was terrible - cold dry fries, pizza-like bread with no taste, ham, cheese and some chips for kids. We had an experience every day with dirty plates in the main restaurant - e.g. every fifth plate or so had sticked remains of previous food and we are not talking about some dots - it was mayonnaise and other things. Hotel management should really take care of this!
Drinks are another story. You ask for two large beers on the bar for me and my wife and you'll get two 0,2L plastic cups. I also do not recommend to try coctails like margarita, caipirinha, mojito etc. as you'll be disappointed - all these drinks are machine-made from some oversweetened syrups, they all taste similar with lack of alcohol and are not even close to what they should look or taste like. We have finally sticked to drinks like rum and coke or gin tonic as there was nothing to spoil. On the other hand the Gin bar was nice as they had tons of different ingrediences for your drink which was nice. I also like the location on the beach and location of the hotel. However we are not going back again.

We spent a week there in July, 2 adults and 4 children. Be prepared for a very noisy and crowdy place. The night program on the main stage by the pool usually ends after 11 o'clock in the evening. Spanish families with children then continue to party until midnight or even longer. Unfortunately, many of them do not limit their children's behavior at all, but that is probably modern today. Luckily we had a room facing the parking lot and not the pool/sea where the noise was the most from morning to night. Unfortunately, some of the guests drank and dined like animals. The staff really tried very hard to manage all these guests somehow, and for that they have my respect - all staff at the bars, in cleaning, and at the reception was great.
Overall, the hotel is more focused on local guests from Spain, staff don't speak much English there. The food could be more varied and better seasoned. Quite often we received a dirty glass or plate. There were plenty of sunbeds, but the ones by the pool were taken in the early morning before pool open.
We enjoyed our vacation and thank you. Next time, however, we will head to a place where there are some rules at night and you can sleep peacefully there.

It’s a long one, but should be helpful for British families:
Starting from the beginning…
Reception staff didn’t give us enough info. Like the fact 2 kids under 2 didn’t get cot/bed to sleep in. They advised the kids should sleep in the two double beds with the adults or together. €50 for the week for 2 cots. Crazy that TUI didn’t let us know of this either. Reception staff then gave us our room keys and said 4th floor etc. No helpful information.
The rooms:
2 adults, 2 kids, 2 double beds, 2 cots. This then gave us no room to move within the room. Positives were the rooms were super clean, tidied every day and changed our towels. Balcony small.
All inclusive food and drinks:
The food was what you expect for ‘all inclusive food’ basically, anyone complaining about this is silly when it’s probably above standard for what you pay for the all inclusive food and comparing to others we have been to. A fresh grill with a selection of steaks, burgers, sausages, omelettes or other choices, available at all meal times. Table service for drinks in these bars. Bottles of lager (Estrella) 7up, Pepsi, always available. The restaurants around the resort were great at lunch times. They did struggle when one of our kids have a few allergies, and advise that lunch and dinner that chips and sausage or burgers were available… but they didn’t help too much with this.
Branded ice creams, magnums, mini milks, twisters and Cornettos were available all the time. Packets of crisps too. Never seen this on an all inclusive.
Estrella beer on tap, several rums, a gin bar, vodkas you name it. Iced drinks, milkshakes, coffees, slush puppies. Great selection. Water machines dotted around everywhere you look, a great feature.
The restaurants:
Don’t even bother trying to get in here unless you’re Spanish. The restaurant managers were rude when asking to book a table giving us a fake time to go a try and book a table once too ha!
Atmosphere:
We went Sunday (evening) to Sunday evening, and from Monday to Thursday, the hotel was a perfect mix of nationalities, and ratio of room to people too. Friday to Sunday the locals flooded in and it was way too busy. Queuing for drinks, crowded kids pool, lack of decent seating on an evening at the entertainment. The bigger slides were fun for all ages 6+ maybe?
Table service on an evening was great. The kids entertainment was cool and they enjoyed it. Pretty much the same songs every night.
We then saw a few bands, a juggler and a Disney performance for the later night entertainment.
Location:
20 mins in a private transfer from the airport was great. A town 10/15 mins walk away, but didn’t find too much to do there. The hotel good enough from start of the day to the finish, for a weeks trip.
Big shout out to the staff (apart from the restaurants staff). Bar staff were great! Pleasant helpful and never stop working. Food hall staff also very helpful and hardworking. Cleaners everywhere you look too. Poolside bins emptied several times per day, great to see.
All in all, would definitely go back for the price you pay, because of how nice 95% of the staff were and the general cleanliness of the hotel. The food was above average and the drinks go down a treat.
Review from 2 adults 2 kids (under 2).
Based on a cheapish trip comparing to the more expensive trips we have been on.

The hotel is great. The staff are very hard working. There are two hotels and you can use the amenities in both. The one is loud and busy. The restaurant is so loud you can't hold a conversation. My mom who was there celebrating a big birthday was actually shouted at by a group of young men because she wanted to use the toaster. After that we found another restaurant in the grounds to use which was in the sister hotel. That restaurant was smaller and quieter with plenty of food and drink choices. I will mention there are plenty of places to get drinks around the hotels and most soft drinks are low in sugar. There's plenty of drinks to choose from including non alcoholic beer.
It's probably about 90 to 95% Spanish people staying at this hotel and I do think some of them might want to keep it that way. And I don't blame them one bit.
This area has not been commercialised with only a few shops and a couple of Spanish restaurants near the hotel which made a nice change. There are more shops after a ten to fifteen minute stroll along the beach.
There were lots of places to eat and drink inside the grounds with staff that work very hard and are very polite.
Our rooms were cleaned daily by staff that are very good at there jobs. We only went to reception a couple of times but the staff there were helpful and friendly. The staff in the bar areas were so busy but always professional.
I would go to this area again but probably not this hotel as it is more for young families.

This is a great hotel to have a great holiday with family or friends. My good service. Rich and varied food. The staff is very attentive and friendly. Without a doubt, a destination we will repeat.
