Mediterraneo Bay Hotel & Resort

Great for families! Food 'excellent' we can not fault it! We are foodies and very judgemental when it comes to hotel dining, especially all-inclusive. However, this hotel has proven to be one of the best when it comes to dining. Look out for Soukaina. She is a waitress in the restaurant and puts herself out to welcome everyone,she is amazing! Because her english is limited, she goes above and beyond to translate on her phone so she can have conversations with you and assist you with anything you may need. She is very good with children also, she really does make your holiday that little bit more special.
The rooms are clean and pretty basic, really. The only gripe I had was that there were no English channels on the TV, except for the news, and who really wants to listen to that? The language was all spanish, even English films had been dubbed. I know it's a spanish country but it is meant to cater to a variety of nationalities.
The hotel is close to the beach, and there are shops in walking distance. The ambience of the area is more low-key than expected. However, the hotel has enough to offer and keep the kids entertained. Give it a try, you will be pleasantly surprised! 👌

Very nice location at the beach and promenade.
Amazing staff and the updated accommodation is also appealing. Nice variety of pools, suiting both young kids, teens and adults.
Highly recommend getting a pass to enjoy a la carte restaurants every night. And make reservations for the nice family sun beds at the main pool.
Last but not least, the thing we enjoyed most, is most guests are native Spanish, giving you plenty opportunities to sharpen your Spanish and give a genuine vacation feeling.

Had a fantastic weeks holiday in June here. Room was lovely and the hotel itself was very well presented. I found all the staff to be well mannered and polite. The only issue i had was that they closed the Fire Engine slide for one day to paint it without forewarning us and then reduced the time that the slide ran by cutting the water off for a few hours in the day. The food at the pool bar wasn't very good, however the meals at the restaurant were lovely. Would definitely stay again.

They are in the process of modernising this hotel and looks to be doing a good job so far. Good rooms, good food, be aware that the hotel gets busy with Spanish tourists on a weekend. Not a negative for me, just bear in mind it can be loud on an evening with kids if you have a pool view room

Beautiful hotel.Fantastic pool areas.Great breakfast. Good atmosphere. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only crisisism I have is that the hotel bars closed at midnight sharp. I do not understand why they are closing so early ??. When I go away on holidays I like to chill out with a few drinks. I'm an adult and I didn't think I'd be back in my room before 1 am. Found this rather annoying as the hotel was very busy. I would go back again if and when they relaxed their very strict early bar closing. Look what adults like to be treated like children and sent to bed early ?

View from outside, took a walk there from hotel best sabinal. It looked good from the outside with a nice walk to the place . Good see view . The fountain and children's play area looked inviting. I think if you are considering Almeria for holidays ,It is definitely worth a check and exploration. It is about 30 minutes to Almeria airport, and there is an Aldi supermarket about 9 minutes walk from it.
