Hotel Colonial Mar

Just leaving from 7 nights here and honestly apart from a couple of little niggles which were no fault of the hotel, I really can’t fault it.

I had read reviews before I came that said the pool wasn’t clean, rooms were not cleaned daily, they didn’t speak much English and there wasn’t a great selection of food. All of which I found to be total rubbish!

Our room was cleaned daily. If we had the do not disturb sign on, the cleaners would make sure they came back later on to do it.

Pool was clean every time we went in, which was pretty much daily.

All of the staff spoke enough English for us to be able to speak to them without an issue. Also props to Yelena (I think that was her name) from the entertainment team. She remembered both my girls names and the names of every other child she interacted with.

Food - I’m a beige food kinda guy, and I was comfortably able to find something to eat every day. There’s always a good selection as well as pizza and chips every day.

The view was fantastic and you can literally get onto the beach through a gate at the end of the complex.

Will definitely be returning!

Stayed here for a week at the start of October. I felt compelled to write a review for 3 reasons or should I say 3 members of staff. Alejandro and Ella behind the bar. Alejandro was very friendly always attempting to make good conversation with me despite English not being his strong point but nonetheless he was brilliant and friendly, thanks for my drinks and snacks Alejandro! Now, Ella, she was fantastic with my kids, specifically my youngest girl ebony. She never made us feel rushed and always tried her best to make ebony smile and feel welcome at the bar despite sometimes my daughter being very slow to make her mind up and a little shy. Thank you so much Ella.

I hope the bar staff I mentioned above see this review, you should be praised for such fantastic work.

The third reason is I think the main lady in the restaurant area, I can't remember her name but she had dark hair and was pretty small. She would kiss our daughters hand so lovingly and always said bye and hello to them it was so nice and refreshing to see all the staff making the kids feel so welcome and happy.

Would recommend a stay here to any family.

Stayed for two nights September 30th and October 1st, definitely family oriented but although I was a solo traveler a lot of people I encountered were cheerful and amiable. Plus this hotel had a gym, a buffet breakfast! Also dinner. Only one issue, my room had tiny little ants. I’ll still give it five stars though because of the food, gym, and nearby beach access.

Great for families.

Location: near supermarkets and a shopping mall so no need to pack lots and it’s reasonably priced.

Room: we booked a family room which had two double rooms and shower room and an en-suite. The kitchen had a full size fridge and freezer, plus there was a washing machine. There was a small drying rack on the balcony but no iron and ironing board.

Hotel: food was all inclusive and had a
Nice range. We we able to fill our son’s milk bottles up for the day and there were snacks on offer throughout the day. There were a range of pools for all ages and lots of outdoor activities like a football pitch, volleyball court, and a 2 minute walk from the beach. There isn’t much to do for infants apart from the kids pool.

We would happily come again. Thank you!

Today I came from holiday in this hotel and I must say that everything is excellent... The friendliest and most dedicated staff could not be... The animation for children and adults is excellent, the service in the dining room is excellent, the food is very tasty. ... The truth is that the category is yes sir and I once again emphasize the attitude of the staff towards the guests, it couldn't be better, thank you very much ... Hello and we will be back

Extraordinary treatment from all the staff and especially exquisite treatment from Antonio de Cocina, I wanted to thank him for his special attention and dedication to my daughter, since despite food allergies she was able to eat what she wanted. , which gave us a really quiet vacation, from our side 15 for it. The only downside is that the animal shows were held for several days and I think these things should be left behind and stop enslaving animals for our benefit. Otherwise very good value for money. Family friendly hotel near the beach.
