Protur Roquetas Hotel & Spa in Roquetas de Mar

Lovely relaxing holiday, this hotel is very clean and rooms spacious and well equipped for a stress free stay, fridge with water and soft drinks topped up everyday, safe included at no extra charge which was good. Nice surprise when a birthday cake arrived at the door for my husband which was a complimentary gift from the hotel. Majority of staff friendly and helpful especially the reception staff which always had a smile, entertainment was ok, a very good rock band on our last eve. Food was good with a wide variety to suit most people. Close to a parade of shops and bars/restaurants, bus stops. All in all would return.

We have just returned from a 7 night stay with a party of 5, with two suite rooms. On arrival one of our rooms were upgraded to a sea view suite a pleasant surprise! Our rooms were spotlessly clean and well maintained all week, the free soft drinks were an added bonus. The outdoor pools were lovely and clean but freezing for this time of year. The indoor spa was lovely and relaxing! The staff can’t do enough for you from organising taxis’s, wheelchairs and advice about the local area. The lack of entertainment was very disappointing and animation team weren’t around very much. The speakers at the mini disco were very distorted. The food each evening was practically cold on all the dishes we had and we watched people warming it up in the microwave. There was a lot of choice but the kids buffet was a very poor selection for children. Breakfast was our favourite meal of the day. Lots of drinks on offer all day and the bar staff in the hotel reception bar were lovely particularly the female staff, we loved the sangria! On Friday night there was a private function and the hotel went from being peaceful to very chaotic the noise in the hotel corridors went on till very late! The games room pool table is not level and some of the games didn’t work. The beach and views were lovely. Overall a very pleasant stay just a few things letting this hotel down.

We are returning guests and have always been very happy with the overall quality and service at this Hotel. Good location, friendly and welcoming staff, some have been there many years. Food is varied and very good. We shall return again next year hopefully.

A beautiful hotel, just across the road from the beach. You can hire sun-beds for €5 a day. The pools are amazing and have a spa end. Sunbeds are allowed to be reserved from 8am, so the best ones go quickly. We thought this was very unfair. Be careful of the lazy river, as it is over 2m deep in parts. The staff are very friendly and all speak English. Lovely big rooms, but quite dark this time of year and only have wall lights. If you’re a reader, bring a light. If you get the choice, get one that overlooks the pool as the balconies get more sun. The food is great but get to the buffet early as the hot food cools down quite quickly. Also, there is a grill on the go with a different choice of fresh cooked meat every day. You have to queue, but it’s worth it. There is a games room in the lower floor (Sal de Juegos), with a pool table, pinball, fuzball and video games. Didn’t try the spa, so can’t comment on that. There is not a lot to do in the evenings. I’m not sure if that is because it is the end of the season, but we were quite bored in the evenings. The kids were well catered for, though. If you stay for more than 4 days, you can book one night in each of the specialist restaurants. One is Asian and the other Italian. This is included, if you are all inclusive, but book as soon as you get there as they get booked up very quickly. You are not allowed to take food into your room. Unfortunately, I was ill for a couple of days and the staff would not allow my husband to bring me any food. Luckily, there is a Spar shop just across from the hotel so I got a sandwich, at least! If you want some night life, this is not the hotel for you. Nothing much goes on in the hotel and there are only a few bars nearby. This is right at the far end of Roquetas . Saying all that, we had a lovely time.

We had a lovely time here,staff were fabulous and friendly always cleaning and polite.Room was good and mini fridge with free soft drinks replenished daily..Food was good and something for everyone,definitely could not go hungry and the Asian restaurant was good as well with great staff..Reception staff were great and a few problems with the room were fixed in half an hour.Few things we didn't like, that the sauna was expensive compared to other hotels and the sunbed brigade were out in full with the towels on the beds early doors..staff should remove them..Noisy guests with no consideration for anyones sleep were moved on to the delight of the guests..little touches like taking your luggage to your room and receiving a bottle of cava for our anniversary.made it all the nicer would recommend and definitely go back..keep up the good work.. ...

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days, myself, partner and two children, aged 6 and 3. Absolutely amazing hotel, from arrival, we were completely made to feel welcome. All of the staff were so polite and great with the children. We upgraded to the family suite room with the whirlpool and larger balcony. The room was perfect, us and the kids loved it! The fridge stocked up with water, juice and bottles of pop every day. Sweets left on the side for the children which made their day! Bottle of champagne in a bucket with ice also on the side upon arrival. Room was also so clean as well as the rest of this beautiful hotel! Food was great, breakfast, lunch by the pool and dinner was all perfect. Different choices from all around the world every night, chef was always cooking fresh different meats, we were spoilt for choice. Kids loved the pools (very cold pools though during October) and the splash park was great. We have been to Almeria 3 times as a family and this is by far our favourite holiday so far! As we left the restaurant on our last day, the waiters and waitresses gave our kids a massive cuddle and a high five, said they hope to see them again soon! Such great people. We will be definitely returning in 2026. Thank you all at Protur Roquetas hotel for our absolutely amazing holiday.

This hotel was a bit of a last minute booking for me and my wife,but what a hotel and holiday it turned out into could not fault it 10/10 the hotel itself was impressive from the reception area to to pool the bars and location close to the beach . The staff were friendly and could not do enough for you the food choices were good and drinks were too nice. The room was spotless with the big bathroom large wardrobe free safe soft drink minibar topped up every day Could not recommend this hotel any higher then 10 out of 10 Hope to go back next year

We loved the location of the hotel and the staff have been very helpull, especially the reception staff. Food was delicious and the restaurant offered a wide variaty of foods. Restaurant was always clean. The room was clean and the housekeeping staff very polite and proffesional. We really enjoyed our stay but we could not rest as the mattress was very hard and the pillows were lumpy. We do understand that these matters are more of a subjective preferrence, that is why we did not complained about it. Also as suggestions, some umbrellas or anything to create some shaddow on the terraces with the jacuzzi would be great as it gets too hot to enjoy it during the day. And from someone that appreciates a good coffee, the bar in the lobby could benefit from a better coffee and/or machine as its such a shame as the lobby ambient is so relaxing and amazing for coffee/ cocktail.
