Playalinda Aquapark & Spa Hotel

Spent 7 days at Playalinda, and the level of service is nothing short of excellent (and I am generally picky). The food in El Patio is of very high quality. Always plentiful and fresh. The staff there works very hard to ensure the customer is satisfied. Special thanks to Samuel but everyone is very kind and helpful. The resort is definitely kids oriented. There are great pools and toboggans for the kids. Lifeguards all around to ensure everyone is safe. Special thanks to Jose, Fernando and all of them. Recommended!

We (family of 4) spent 11 days here , and from the beginning the reception team was friendly, welcoming and looking forward to help, nothing was to much trouble for this department. Food was great, plenty of choices,clean restaurant and once again friendly stuff. Crapes section clever and practical idea.
Bar stuff, brilliant brilliant and I have to mention here Alejandro, Juan, Victor, plus Victor from restaurant, nice people, I do hope I will meet them again sometimes in this life, I already miss your coffee.
House keeping department was on top with everything, this hotel is clean and this is because this "Shadow" department,brilliant again.
Pools, fabulous, those masive slides are a fun experience and the water was spot on, plus that safeguarding team was in charge at all time.

I Went to almeria for a week and stayed in playalinda .. spotless clean every single staff member was so nice we had bed and breakfast it was fabulous. They had lots of entertainment going on in the hotel, it’s a stone throw away from the beach and I’d highly recommend the spa they I had a facial it was to die for ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Would highly recommend this place to any family. First time going to Almeria.The hotel is fantastic. Room was spotless..cleaners in everyday.. bedding and towels changed too. The staff are so friendly. Entertainment for kids is amazing! The pools are brilliant and the waterslides. Everything you want from a holiday. Will definitely be back

Nice clean hotel,staff are pleasant and lots of choice at breakfast time, several pools and a quieter and deeper pool away from the family area great for a chill out and proper swim, lots of shops restaurants and bars close by and a handy spar minimarket nearby.

Booked for a week from 30th May 2019. When we arrived at 10pm the hotel was in complete darkness and the doors were looked. There was a note in Spanish on the door with a phone number. Luckily our Hoppa transfer driver was very helpful, and he rang the hotel for us and told us that the hotel was closed and he was to take us to the Playasol hotel, which was on the same complex. Unfortunately, they only knew about 1 of the 3 rooms we had booked at reception. They took over an hour to find us 3 rooms. At one point they told us that we would have to wait as a long queue had formed. For a while we were not sure if we were going to get the rooms that we had booked. Also told us that we would have to come back in the morning to add our meals to our key cards as they were to busy. All in all not what you want when you have had a long journey and it is late at night and travelling with children. However, this turned out to only be a minor issue, as most aspects of the hotel (playasol) were very good and is why I have rated it 4 out of 5 stars.

We found the pool area lovely with an abundance of sunbeds, lots of palm trees to provide shade if you wanted it, walls to provide shelter from the wind, great (mostly fast water slides), free towels (deposit requires), free crazy golf, lovely pools, and Jacuzzi.

The rooms were dated but not offensive, the room was cleaned well every day, although sometimes they forgot to replace the towels. We then requested some from reception but they still did not arrive. Pillows were Ok, and most beds were comfortable, although in one room the mattresses were hard (although did not cause any loss of sleep). We had a pool view and you could also see the sea at a push.

The hotel is in a great location, close to the beach with promenade, and close to shops, spar supermarket, and restaurants. In May/June a lot of the resort was still closed and generally quite.

Breakfast/Dinner was good. There was not as much choice as we have had in other hotels, however, what was on offer was mostly good, and did not seem repetitive during our 7 day stay. Look out for the separate side room were they have the show cooking and fried eggs. There is also a toaster and drinks machine on the opposite side to the bread section and an extra fruit juice machine further down from the first machine, hiding behind a mirrored post (by the hot drinks machine).

Playasol Hotel had plenty of lifts and you may see the odd dog, as it appears to be pet friendly. They also do pack lunches.

All in all, despite some issues we really loved the hotel and we think we will return in the future.
