San Sebastian, Avenida de Pío Baroja, 15 🧭 Map
The initial impression of the public areas is very good, although maybe a trifle corporate in style, and there is excellent underground parking available at additional cost. We booked a superior room for the extra space, and were allocated a pleasant balcony room on the second floor. However, we initially failed to notice the hotel's Plant-room immediately below us, which ran throughout the night....
We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is immaculately clean and in a good location very close to the beach. Despite reception being busy when we arrived, and dealing with new computer systems, the staff greeted us warmly and we felt very welcome. There was a selection of complimentary sparkling wine, fresh orange juice, water and some fruit and sweets to sample while you wait which was a lovely touch...
The hotel is located about 3km from the old town however, there is a bus stop directly outside the hotel to the old town. The hotel has a wonderful pool onsite and the beach is approximately 10 mins walk away. Rooms, staff and location are excellent. An added benefit is the large underground car park for cars and motorbikes. We parked our bikes near the hotel reception.
Among San Sebastián’s 4-star hotels, Barceló Costa Vasca is easily the best — or at least in the top 3.
Freshly renovated, it now offers spacious, oversized rooms that are a real treat. Located just 5 minutes from Ondarreta beach, it’s tucked away in a peaceful area, yet only a short walk from the stunning Miramar promenade views.
Barceló is one of the best hotel chains in the world, and it shows....
This hotel was absolutely beautiful, staff were helpful, kind and couldn't do any more for us. We enjoyed a couple of drinks in the bar each night too and it was a nice atmosphere with good service!
The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. The location was good. Although we did spend much of our time in the old part of the town so it was about a 2km walk from there but only 500m from the beach...
I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We had a great experience during our visit and the director, Christina could not possibly do anymore to accommodate us. She was friendly, and eager to assist us with anything we needed. She suggested activities and restaurants. She gave us a list of places we could go for entertainment and overall looked after us as if we were the only guests at the hotel. We look...

It feels good. The hotel notes are wrong. There is a private bathroom. The overall feeling is very good, it is worth recommending, the breakfast is also rich, very quiet, clean, and the price is reasonable.
Indoor temperature adjustment is not comfortable
We did not know there was no air conditioning available when we were there (April). It was uncomfortably hot and affected our sleep.
Loved the property, rooms were clean and spacious and very modern. The room has both European and usb and usbc connections so it is friendly to US occupants. It is walkable to the beach but 45 min walk to the Part vieja (city center) so a cab may be more convenient. Cab rides to city center are 11 euros or so. Would recommend property and hope to visit again!
Room was quite warm due to AC not being on! When I enquired they said only heating on at present so open window !!. Daytime temp was 20 degrees.
Close to the beach. Friendly staff, highly recommended

Beautiful old grand dame hotel. Nicely done, General Manager was charming, attentive and made the rounds. Concierge needs more training. Not knowledgeable in different types of restaurants or museums. The GM told us about the Chillida outdoor museum. Terrific!!
Amazing property! A former palace. A beautiful view from our room. Service impeccable; staff very professional and friendly. Only suggestion: The Asian bistro had a nice ambiance but the food could be improved. All in all we had an excellent stay at Maria Cristina!
Top luxury in San Sebastian
The Maria Christina is a luxury property in the center of San Sebastian and offers great ambience, service, and comfort. Close to all the attractions: the old town, the beaches, and the scenic neighborhoods, this is a fabulous place to indulge yourself.
One of the best in San Sebastian!
Overall this was a fantastic hotel to stay in, first the pro's:
- very comfortable room and bed
- Alejo, the front desk / concierge manager is WONDERFUL. He and his team went above and beyond to make sure we made the most of our stay (set us up with private autos, reservations, great restaurant suggestions, etc)
The not so good:
- no a la carte breakfast, either...
What a great place to stay. Thanks to all the staff who helped make our time here memorable. The servers who worked breakfast, those in the bar during the evening, and the concierge all added to a great experience. Thanks again.
Great hotel. The staff are very kind and friendly. I thank them all for the reception, the restaurant and the guards. I'll be back to him soon

What a amazing hotel, beautiful beach view and really convenient to the SOHO area
It is a very beautiful hotel and good place.
We stayed here for our honeymoon. The attentive staff, service, and the hotel's location and facilities helped us create wonderful memories.
We would like to stay here again when we are in San Sebastian.
I stayed in a "city view" room during my solo trip through the Basque region and it was such a comfortable room I forgot about not having sea view.
Though I do recommend to go to the cafe to have the beachside experience if you get the city view room because it overlooks a construction site on the back street.
The hotel was an easy 15min walk with my heavy suitcase from the intercity bus center, just...
Great hotel! Gorgeous sea view! 2 steps to the embankment. Breakfasts are expensive, but delicious. You feel like you are inside a Woody Allen movie. Very atmospheric!

Good experience, tasty breakfast, spacious rooms, recommend
Awesome I recommend this hotel and place awesome. Most beautiful places around the hotel.
Hotel is well located but not very well maintained, old furniture and needs renovation. The rooms that face the street, the noise is horrible
It has very clean and big room.
Very friendly and efficiently run hotel. Loved the breakfast. Great bar staff. Easy to navigate into town down the river.
pleasant - we didn't use the ground floor bar/restaurant facilities - some food shops nearby - a long walk to the beach riverside stroll or there are regular buses

Lovely hotel with great views
We stayed for two nights in thus hotel over a weekend and it was very nice. From greeting at reception to exploring the rooftop amenities the place is very lovely and comfortable. The location is good with a lift from the street level up to the hotel where because if its elevated level over the city allows for really great panoramic views.

Came here for one night in San Sebastian before heading to the ferry in Bilbao.
This is a wonderful hotel. All seems so new and it's location is just perfect.
The views from the roof and rooftop pool across the city were stunning. My boy LOVED the pool after a long drive!
The hotel is easy walking distance to the beach and old city where it was buzzing but friendly and family friendly.

If you want a luxury hotel that is reasonably priced, a delicious breakfast, pool with a view and good service then stay at Hotel Catalonia. I write this review from the rooftop pool and can safely say it’s one of the most conveniently located hotels I’ve ever stayed in that has a touch of class. It is worth paying extra for the breakfast - the choice is excellent.

A nice hotel that's close to all the shops you could want in the new town and not so far from the old town either. A great location for us whilst we stayed.

We had an okay stay at the hotel - overall, it is a clean, modern hotel which feels fresh and well run.

I recently stayed at this newly built hotel, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! Nestled next to a beautiful hill, the location offers stunning views while providing easy access to public transportation for exploring the city.

Stayed in this lovely hotel for a week. Staff were so helpful and friendly. The breakfast every morning was excellent with lovely fresh fruit, pastries and cold meats etc. Bedroom was very comfortable and quiet. location was 3mns walk to bus stop and frequent buses into city centre made it a great location. Would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely come back here again
Staying at Sebastian Hotel Tres Reyes was an exceptional experience! The hotel is beautifully nestled in nature, providing a peaceful and serene atmosphere. Perfect location if you do not want to get with the car in the city center. On the other hand, there's not so much around.
We really liked the decoration of the room and particularly the bathroom. The bed was very big and comfortable.
We also enjoyed the food from the room service. The burrata and truffle salad was especially good
Cosy room, quiet, interior design focused on open space concept, interesting artwork, nice atmosphere. Potential for improvement in receiving guests at breakfast. If for some reason the number of room is not in the list the staff should check details with the receptionists instead of disturbing the guests over and over again. Other than that it was worth the experience.

Very happy overall. Hotel ILUNION was our home for our 11 night exploration of San Sebastián. The location was perfect. There is also public street parking nearby which is very cheap and easy to manage...
Easiest check in and check out I've ever experienced. Advance check in was worth it. It made the process incredibly efficient and straight-forward. The hotel is very well located and the beach was very close nearby so the kids were delighted. Hotel is spotless with very pleasant staff.
I loved this hotel. It's extremely clean, comfortable, and we felt extremely safe in the surrounding neighborhood. We ate at the hotel restaurant multiple times due to convenience and good...
Overall, I was satisfied with my stay at Ilunion San Sebastián, but the check-in experience left a poor first impression. Helpful staff and great location away from the busy old town. Beautiful walk to burn off the calories from pintxos if you venture to old town and also very close to lots of less touristy spots for food. Would stay again!
There is a grocery nearby, great restaurants, cafes and bars as well (see my reviews). It is really convenient to go to La Concha beach (walk 10 min) and old town (bus 15 min - €1.85 apple pay, walk 30 min).

The location of this hotel is fantastic, right by the beach and close to enough shops and restaurants. The staff were also very friendly. Not far from bus stops but not in city centre.
Several running trails in a forest m, fresh air and great breakfast
beautiful place
cheap price
a little smelly from the bathroom
I booked this hotel because it was in a quiet location , the room had double glazed windows that allowed me to sleep soundly for more than 8 hours each night and I could reach the city easily by taking the bus.
FYI the taxi fares from and to the San Sebastian airport was 90€ in total, which the hotel has no say on or any other hotels for that matter.
The hotel is really amazing, however, the cleanliness is not interesting. There was a lot of hair in the bathtub in my room, thus eliminating the possibility of using it.

Amazing experience from the moment we arrived, having champagne outside on the deck to the amazing lunch, service was very attentive and not overly done. We got a look and tour of the kitchen and met the chef himself. Cocktails later that evening made the day complete.
Fenomenal experience from beginning to end. The quality and presentation of food outstanding. The explanations and overall service great. Enjoyed discovering some new wines thanks to the sommelier. Worth every star!
The newly renovated hotel and restaurant are absolutely stunning. However, the lack of atmosphere was noticeable, as the restaurant was less than a third full for lunch, even at the end of July.

Parking garage is across the street and is safe. We left the car for three daty and costs 30 Euros per day.
Lots of bars and restaurants around. Beach and old town are 5min away. Nice room and perfect service. Amazing location! 5 ⭐
The breakfast was wonderful,& so was the location.
Lovely small and clean hotel, right by the beach in San Sebastian.
The hotel is clean and in a good location. The rooms are clean and recently remodeled. The rooms are very small. Ours looked out on an alley. Don’t be mislead by the website. The hotel is not on the beach, it is a few blocks away.
Superb location between Kursaal and Calle de Peña y Goñi, where great restaurants are located, much better than old center. Hotel is a bit old, and rooms a bit small(very clean) but if the objective is to experience San Sebastian, that is to eat great & to drink great while having fun, then it will suffice.

Sweet old hotel up on the hill overlooking the ocean. Though it was raining from time to time (which is rather normal), we could spent quite a bit outside and enjoy the stunning view of the ocean and the nearby mountains. Beautiful views & super peaceful place but it is not acceptable the poor WiFi they have, specially taking in consideration the lack of good cell phone signal there.

The reception staff is really nice and professionnal, big rooms that are quite nice even though they're a little bit old. The view is incredible.
Just don't go to the hotel bar, it was a disaster.
Nice breakfast
We booked a privilege room, so the views were really impressive. The bed was a bit tough, the room was nice and clean. The way to the hotel is very dark as there is no street lights at all. The staff is friendly. In general, very nice experience.
The rooms and views are amazing, however if you want to explore San Sebastian it can be a way out being at the top of a hill.
