It occupies the building of the first mall in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Edificio Maya, and it keeps the 1980 style. Our 4-stars hotel features a terrace with a cocktail bar, Azotea del 31, perfect for relaxing and enjoy the weather and a Fitness Room to keep you fit during your stay. Plus, AC Hotel Tenerife, features an AC Lounge in the ground floor space, with different ambiences along the day, it is ideal for working, sipping a signature cocktail, or tasting a selection of local dishes. All our 83 rooms have a sleek design, under the concept of functionality, to guarantee a unique experience. Breakfasts are good, but there was little hot food. There is an iron and ironing board in the room. There is a coffee machine in the room and you can make coffee to go.
There is not enough parking nearby and it is difficult to drive up in a personal car. We did not use the hotel parking, because we read reviews that it is very narrow. The pool on the roof did not work - this was very disappointing. For some reason, there is no toilet brush or hygienic shower in the toilet. I would like to have a bag in the trash, since it is not convenient to put organic waste there.
Hotel staff allows people from the street come to the pool area for drinks during day, people were loud, rude and taking all the seats - hotel guests should have priority!! At night loud music and party every night.
When I complained I was offer complimentary drink. Bathroom door were broken no one came to fix it. TV on the wall was not possible to turn - impose to watch from bed. People shouting on the street- could hear all in the room even windows were closed. AC was not great either. I will not recommend this hotel!!! Avoid!!!!
1. Upon check-in, we were told about the 2pm late check out as part of the membership benefits. On the day of check out, we got an unpleasant call at 12:30 telling we need to should have checked out half an hour ago due to the availability of the room. No one told us anything until the call. So we packed and got to the reception, bad customer service and no resolution of our bad experience. Desk reverted their decision and said we can return to the room and have late checkout as promised . What’s the point if we have already packed and upended plans for the day?
2. We got the smallest room. no separate bathroom. toilet and shower were next to the bed and emanated a sewer-like smell.
3. The room was facing the street, very noise until midnight. We got waken up at 7-8am due to loud noise and thin walls .
4. Tight parking. Unless you have a small panda, don’t bother parking there, otherwise would get your car scratched. You have to park 5 min walk away and paid 10 eur per day.
We spent over 40 nights per year with Marriot. But this is the service we got, it’s very disappointing. I’m writing a complaint to the general Manager.
