The pool was very cold and there were no stairs, so no one was using it (see photo)

Amazing place to stay and explore the island. The staff is super friendly, the food is great, the hotel very cosy. m and very impressively decorated. We felt really at home for the whole week we stayed here

The hotel is well located near the historic centre of La Laguna. The service was quite satisfactory and the facilities were spectacular with a Canarian style. I would stay here again.

The room was spacious, clean and tidy, but the outdoor corridor was bumpy and you might accidentally step on it.

You couldn't wish for a better base in the capital city Santa Cruz than the Occidental Contemporaneo. The hotel offered great service, excellent value for money with super staff

I can say that if you want to travel in Santa Cruz de Tenerife you need to choose Occidental. They are the best, I WAS satisfied from all points of view, nothing to add

Our stay on the seventh floor with a balcony was comfortable and easily accessible. Maybe the room was slightly small for a couple but the large balcony made up for it

We had to spend the night in Tenerife to fly early and we chose this hotel, as on other occasions. It is a hotel with a quiet and central atmosphere. The rooms are spacious, with comfortable and large beds

Good location, big room with balcony. But there were some great minuses… The towels were dirty, with someone’s hair inside! The trash bin in toilet was not emptied after previous guests

Even the hotel is not in the city centre, it has a good location, near the harbour, and only a 10-15 minute walking distance from the centre. There is a nice walking route at the ocean front with georgeous plants.

Very impressed with the price/quality ratio. Everything was clean and comfortable, nice bathroom, mini fridge, bed nicely tucked in. Uncomplicated checkin/checkout process and a quiet location.

Lovely hotel and good value for money. Highlights of the trip were the turtles, the pool, and a very helpful poolside waiter, Carlos from Cuba, who was on hand for incredible smoothies, cocktails, and conversation

Also, you can change your evening meal for a three course lunch in the poolside restaurant or bar, which was useful when we had meals out. Staff were lovely, the gym is fairly extensive

Spent a lovely 3 days here after coming off a cruise, and it was a great stay. I particularly enjoyed getting up early in the morning for a refreshing swim in the pool.

We eat at lunchtime and found the food excellent and staff so pleasant to deal with always smiling and pleasant. Carlos and ladies at reception were so helpful and friendly. Made our stay here one we will fondly remember

Great hotel, great location, the food was fabulous, we took half board which was a buffet breakfast plus a la carte and a la carte dinner except for Christmas Eve which was buffet and a la carte

five minutes walk away is the older part of the city centre with lovely Squares with shopping and coffee shops has yacht club lovey walks and great public transport well worth a look

It’s right in the middle of town which is very convenient. Service is top notch

The location of the hotel is very good, very close to the concert hall, less than 10 minutes walk, this hotel was specially booked for the concert, there are many shopping malls, restaurants and coffee bars around

This is really frustrating because the room itself is modern and generally in good condition, and the staff are really good. If the room had been properly clean, this would easily have been a 5-star review

We had a junior suite, which was spacious and nicely laid out. Unfortunately, it was not especially clean, which is why I cannot give a higher rating

There was a large stain on part of the floor, several stains on the walls, the drapes had holes in them, and the bathroom smelled of mildew

The pool on the roof did not work - this was very disappointing. For some reason, there is no toilet brush or hygienic shower in the toilet

There is not enough parking nearby and it is difficult to drive up in a personal car. We did not use the hotel parking, because we read reviews that it is very narrow

The path leading to the parking lot is a bit difficult to drive, so you need to be careful.

Hotel in the city center. The very spacious room with a balcony. There are parallel streets where you can park. Comfortable bed although the pillows are all different.
