The location is perfect, close to the atmospheric Old Town and all the museums, squares, and restaurants, and shopping on the Ramblas. The quality is excellent. The service is always friendly and of a high standard. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean and had great views. Breakfast was always fresh with plenty of options. We enjoyed excellent evening meals in the main restaurant, and the rooftop bar. Top tip: Theatre Tarraco is located just 5 minutes away so it's worth checking to see what's on. We saw a wonderful flamenco singer. We have had a wonderful, relaxing holiday. Thank you 🙏

A great location to spend time enjoying the ancient Roman ruins and all of the nearby cafes, bars and restaurants. A great base to enjoy the city!
Beware: If you are a Club H10 member, you get a free "cocktail" for yourself & guest in the hotel bar. But don't expect anything other than a glass of cava or Aperol Spritz. Not sure why they couldn't honour anything from their "cocktail" section, (all roughly the same price), but that was enough for me to limit spending too much time & money there, especially where there are hundreds of options on their doorstep!

Gorgeous hotel. We had the Junior suite. Room was large, clean and well appointed with an unobstructed view of the Mediterranean. The rooftop is lovely. If I ever come back to Tarragona would definitely stay at the Imperial Tarraco.

Such a great experience in this hotel! Wonderful room with a great sea view and balcony, airconditioning worked perfectly and the location could not be better. The pools were great as well, especially the rooftop pool where they also had a nice rooftop bar with excellent service. Credits to Martina from the bar, who was really helpful during our stay and always smiling even though it was quite busy at the bar/hotel and extremely hot (to work)!

We’ve chose this hotel for 2-week summer vacation and it was a very good choice. The location allows you to walk to the sea and to the train station in 10 minutes (from where you can get to Barcelona in 1.5 hours and to other cities). The room was always clean and nice, beautiful view. Also I would like to mention the quietness of the place, so you can rest. The only problem is the service (Rooftop bar) - rude waiters. Overall - I enjoyed the experience, it definitely worths its money.

Amazing hotel, great location. The rooms are big and tall, the inside is very nice and modern and clean. The moment you enter you are greeted and you feel food (welcome drink included with a big smile). The restaurant is also good, room service food well presented and drinks also good quality (nice wines). Overall great experience on of the best in Spain so far

Great room. Views amazing. WiFi was lacking 1.5mb download and less than 1mb upload. Don’t expect to be able to work on anything that requires wifi. Gave them opportunity to fix but in the end found out this is their normal speeds. Not high speed. Restaurant was amazing on top. Pool great place to hang out but not really use.

Recently spent a week here. All the staff were super friendly, the hotel was beautiful and the breakfast amazing. Had an issue with our room which was dealt with straight away and we received a complimentary bottle of cava for our troubles. Totally recommend 100% Special shout out to Nikki from the inhouse spa. Her massages are just the best.

Disappointing stay:
This was our second stay in this hotel. We came back because we absolutely loved it last time.
This time everything was different. When we went to have dinner on the rooftop terrace, service was slow and demotivated. The members of staff were constantly chatting with each other, even talking loudly over our heads, one member of staff was chatting with someone on the phone. Food was expensive and presented without love. One bottle of filtered tab water cost us almost 6 Euros.
At breakfast the waiters started removing items and stopped bringing fresh warm food at least 40 minutes before the official end of breakfast, so I had to eat cold eggs and cold vegetables. The employees also started switching off coffee machines 20 minutes before closing.
When I asked for butter, I was told that they ran out of butter, I should come back tomorrow (really???)! Pastries were not all that bad, but definitely not good either, they didn't taste fresh.
We booked the most expensive room in the hotel and expected a different experience. We won't come back.
The room itself was beautiful, nicely furnished and with great views. The location in Tarragona is great. It's a pity this hotel changed so much in the span of a few months. All the issues that I mentioned (and there were some more) could be easily be fixed with the right management and the right attitude. This could be a wonderful hotel.
On that note I would like to mention that one member of staff made the extra effort to prepare a coffee for me, after the coffee machines had been switched off. I really appreciated this gesture.

One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at!
The sea view rooms are out of this world and we spent many hours sitting on the balcony admiring the view!
We also ate dinner at the restaurant in the hotel and it was fantastic!
All staff were so friendly & attentive and I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Tarragona!
We cannot wait to revisit one day!
