H10 Princess Hotel

The hotel was nice and clean and in a good location, near to the shops and not far from the beach. When we arrived after an early morning flight we were advised that our room would not be ready until 3pm that day, some 5 hours time. Luckily I was travelling with 2 teenagers so this was not a problem., however I can imagine this would be a huge inconvenience to those travelling with small children. After paying a supplement as there was only 3 people in the room, we were given a very small room which had a small double bed and what looked like a bed that had been pushed in on wheels into the room. This room 224 was not designed for more than two people as it was very small and with the additional bed, cramped. Nice pool view with the balcony but once again designed for 2 people with only 2 chairs. There were 3 of us, after paying a supplement for this room I was not impressed. The food in the hotel was very good and made up for the lack of decent room. It is a Shame as the amenities, food and staff in the hotel are all what you would expect from a 4 star, however the tired decor and size of the room let it down.

I am currently at the hotel and wanted to leave this feedback now, while I care and have time. I will try to be objective and hope both future guests and hotel management will find this review useful. I am here with a 5-yo son, and overal we are having a good experience apart from a few things i will describe below. Positives - the food is great both quality and variety. Be aware, any coffee with milk rom coffee machine is disgusting, I would take black and top it up with fresh milk.Juices are all from the machine, but the hotel offers lots of fresh fruit and for me this is far more important! Canteen is managed perfectly, with no lag, there is order, it is very clean and the dirty dishes are baing removed immediately. I am very impressed. Housekeeping is appauling. While the rooms are cleaned daily, noone cleaned our balcony even once. My room lacks drying rack, noone suggested to put one in, when I raised the issue I was told none are left. There is a layer of dust above my headboard for months, and tonns of hair on the balcony. The cleaner doesn't bother to clean in corners, doesn't bother removing dorty dishes, doesn't wipe dust (or crumps) on the table. The room has no kettle and minubar is not offered - just the empty fridge. In a way empty minubar is a blessing, as there is a supermarket nearby and it is easy and cheap to get your own drinks, so not complaining here. The hotel operates programme and all information is available through QR code, however, there was none in our room, and untill 6th day in we didn't know it exists, and how to get in touch with the hotel reception as there isn't a single leaflet in the room. The swimming pool is great - clean, good size, there is baby pool too. One of the safetyguards is continuously in his phone, there is no way he could save anyone, but the usual one is very vigealant. Good energetic water aerobics instructor. Timing for water polo is poor - at 4pm when people cime back from the seaside and after nap, and everyone has to wait for 1 hr untill they are done. Would be best tokeep it till 6pm. The pool bar is really good, food is made quickly, drinks are also good. Reception is very helpful, they do try to help but unfortunately there seems to be a disconnect between them and hpusekeeping who took once 6 hrs to deliver us towels. When oir aircon was broken we have received help very quiclky. Generally speaking, the hotel could have beenin line with a 4-star service if not for the housekeeping. It is also located really well, cloae to the beach and only about 20 min walk by the beach to the center part of Salou. We have previously stayed in Eurosalou and H10 is definetely and upgrade.
