Tarraco Park Tarragona

I will give my opinion regarding this hotel. I've been a tour driver for 24 years! I can say that we always make a report giving feedback regarding the hotel and the service provided. Regarding the rooms to be a 4-star hotel it is very bad (lack of hygiene) because I went to take a bath only after taking a shower I noticed that there was no shower gel, it was empty, I reported it at the reception and the reception lady was not at all friendly. The room had a lot of dust on the furniture. As for table service, I give 5 stars. With best regards

I Travel professionally around the world for more than 12 years, during this period I have had the pleasure of spending time in many hotels nevertheless this hotel, and more specifically its manager deserve to be called the worst customer service I have encountered. After check-in it turned out that the restaurant was closed, so tired from a whole day of travel I ordered food from the app. When I asked for a fork, then the manager of this hotel firmly refused me, claiming that "can not rent cutlery for the room". I have never encountered such a cynical manager before. I strongly advise everyone against this hotel, until the manager is replaced at least

Only 1 star. Waited until 8pm for restaurant to open which was serving what looked like a very reasonable set menu for €16.50. Waited for a group of people to be shown to their table, only to be told, when it was our turn, that there wasn’t enough food for us. Needless to say we were dumbfounded, couldn’t believe it. The waiter told us that if we weren’t in a group or we hadn’t booked half board then there was no food for us. On checking in to the hotel reception told us where the restaurant was and explained about the menu and what time it opened, no mention of pre booking. We asked the reception if there were any restaurants near by that we could go and we were just told that if we walked 20mins down the road to the square we might find somewhere there then looked at his watch and explained that we would be lucky as it was now 8.45pm and they might have stopped serving. He did also say that this problem had not happened before.
They advertise as having a mini bar and complimentary toiletries. Nothing in the mini bar more like just a small fridge. Toiletries was a very small bar of soap. It’s best not to advertise these things if they are not willing to fulfil.
Good points were that the room was comfortable and clean very tidy, what you should expect from a 4 star hotel but no bottled water in the room which was another disappointment.
Water I would say is a basic and on check out I asked if there was anywhere I could fill my water flask, as we were about to continue our tour and were about to drive 5 hours down the coast. The receptionist replied by saying no, only hot water. I asked again and said maybe the bar, surely they would have some cold water. No only hot water out of the tap. She did ask the bar man eventually and he very kindly took a bottle out of his fridge for me. It all seemed like too much trouble…..,for the customer who would like good service for the money I have payed to stay there.
Choice of hot and cold food for breakfast with tea or coffee, the usual continental pastries which were plentiful.
We did find a lovely Chinese restaurant not far from the hotel….we didn’t have to do the 20 minute walk!!

This hotel is the worst
First of al the manager is not nice at all. She suggest that i was lying. No service at all.

The first Day we arrived at the hotel we first got the wrong room with no bed for our Child.
Then we got another room with the right amount of beds but no working airconditioning.
So i open the Window and there is a very bad smell and still very hot.
I went to the front desk and complained about it.
I told the lady that the airconditioning isn't working. I opened the window and there is a very bad smell. I have astma and cant stay in a room with a bad smell and no working airconditioning in the middle of the summer. i want to cancel the second night stay.
She says ok i will send the manager an email about it and will Come back to you.
She didn't told me that i can get another room.

The morning after the manager from hell was there. And she suggested that i was lying and that i didn't came to them and complained about the airconditioning.
She told me it is defect but they will repair it today.
I told her i went to the desk yesterday and complained about the airconditioning and the girl didn't give me a New room.

And i stayed for an half hour complaining and she did not give me a sollution. She wont give me the money back from the second night. Because i can not stay a night longer in a room of sauna.
They stole my money without a blink and tell me that i was lying.

The room was also not clean at all. There were a lot of ants there.
They also dont have enough money to buy decent lights. The room was very dark with the terrible Light in it.

They dont deserve 4 stars!

Poor food. The amount of food is rediculous for the price we paid and the taste was awful. Bland, no seasoning and tremendous amount of oil. Wouldn't recommend

Charged my card €400 for someone else's booking a week after I left the hotel and refused to return it. I had to report them for fraud.
