Hotel California Palace

We’ve spent the last week at hotel California palace & we’ve had a truly amazing time. We are a family of four two children 5 & under. Room are good size single bed each for the children & double for adults lots of storage in room, mini fridge & tv included. Towels & bedding changed daily & rooms cleaned also daily. Food is really nice we’re not fussy eaters & there’s always plenty choice. Food is different everyday & we’ve particularly enjoyed the almond cake & fish dishes. Staff professional but friendly & so attentive to our children they have been so lovely with them. Hotels well situated close to shops, play parks, beach & 30 minute walk to main part of Salou. Theres an option of buses into the town & other areas which are very affordable or alternatively 10 euro taxi each way to the main strip. Our room faces the road to the front of the hotel, this hasn’t been a problem & rooms are well sound proofed we haven’t heard anything when in them, it’s very quiet & we’ve all slept well. Entertainment staff were superb & had activities for the kids to do by the poolside on the days we were there. Hotel is very clean & well kept. We were cautious because of the reviews when we arrived but haven’t encountered any great issues. Staff are helpful & friendly as I say. They expect certain rules of the hotel to be abided by & will enforce when needed which is fair enough, we respect that. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to come to Salou. We know every person is different & is looking for certain things when on holiday but for us it’s been a great base to explore & relax.

Good clean 4* hotel for value. Food not to bad but no wow. Is super walk too beach. If anyone looking for airport transfer is a local buss for 3.6e and shop for tickets and bus stop is opessite McDonald

I want to say that the hotel was wonderful, the rooms were cleaned daily, in general it was clean everywhere, the staff in the restaurant were friendly. Special thanks to Tamara from the restaurant, she helped in solving many of our questions. The food was varied, especially for dinner. We had a good time in the hotel bar , the cocktails were delicious. Only a few things upset us: it was difficult to communicate at the reception, because the girls did not speak English, which is unacceptable in a rather touristy 4-star hotel. And there was no entertainment for small children.

It is good the food is good,the lifts are a bit wobbly but very clean so are the rooms. There is a good sized pool for a 160 holtel
The pool showers are broken but first the toddler pool was out of order first but working again. The cook does good food were you can see things getting cooked but it isn't always him. By C & R 9 & 7

September 2019, room ok , for 2, lock on the fridge why I don’t no, entertainment ok if you are deaf, food not much variety eurosaloo is better,. Good stay clean rooms maids are brilliant, staff are helpful,
