Astari Hotel

Very nice hotel situated within a 10 minute walk from the old town. Room we stayed in was big, huge comfy bed and a decent sea view. Staff were all very helpful and breakfast hit the spot every morning. Good beaches nearby and remember to reserve a parking place if you are in the car.

Amazing stay, very chilled vibe. It’s about 10/15 minute walk to the town so during the day you can definitely enjoy the peace and quiet with a vino by the pool away from the crowds.
Room is spacious, very clean, nothing to pick on.

Hotel itself is very nice. Only one thing which had a rather negative impression on me was: I parked the car in front of the Hotel for abt. 3-4 hours, which is rather for arriving guests, which I understand. Abt. 100m of this parking was free for the Hotel and I got a call on the phone in a rather commanding tone that this parking is only for incoming guests. No "can you please remove the car" no "please" in any way and I was paying for 4 rooms for my collegues for a couple of days.

Room was excellent overlooking the sea. Staff were pleasant. However when we arrived we were told that parking was full. They did however allow us to park on the road just outside the hotel. Breakfast was limited and not worth the extra money also the evening meal could have been better, the staff at the restaurant were lovely so I can only imagine the problem with the food must be at a managerial level. The food wasn’t cheap but consisted of for example, supermarket guacamole. Nothing was homemade. The piece of salmon was boring and was served with a few frozen chips. It was the sort of meal one throws together for the family after a very hard day at work. They were charging far too much for canteen food. There must be a very frustrated chef in that kitchen.

Wonderful Family Stay at Hotel Astari!

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Astari with our kids! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcome and went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. The family-friendly atmosphere and thoughtful amenities made it a perfect choice for traveling with little ones.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with plenty of space for our family to relax. The highlight for the kids was the beautiful pool area—it was clean, well-kept, and a great spot to unwind after a day of sightseeing.

The hotel’s location is fantastic, close to the beach and just a short walk to the city center, making it easy to explore. The breakfast buffet was delicious, with a great variety of options that everyone enjoyed.

Overall, Hotel Astari exceeded our expectations, and we’d highly recommend it for families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We’d definitely return on our next trip!

Very good holiday for us. Everyone looking after us were very friendly and helpful. Very clean and I thought the hotel is delightfully decorated, will definitely come back. 5 minutes to one beach and 7 to the better beach... We found it easy to get to and from by bus, nice when you've had a long day exploring Tarragona in the hot sun.

We had to leave earlier due to family circumstances, and we got the money back for the days we were supposed to stay. Super service! Very nice, understanding and flexible staff. Would definitely recommend!

Great place! Everything was perfect. Clean and comfortable modern rooms. Nice pool. Hotel is near to the beach - 10-15 mins walk. Also supermarkets are very close. Very attentive and helpful stuff. We will definitely return❤️ thanks!

Slick hotel spotless clean, great pool and lovely gardens, only grumble was a member of staff on breakfast duty he was quite rude ! Breakfast was 7am/11am I had finished my breakfast and then I sat outside for 5 minutes, I went back in to get a cup of coffee there were no clean cups , I asked politely for a clean cup , he point blank refused and informed myself breakfast had finished! I said no it hasn’t it is only 10.45 and only wanted to take a drink outside, as there are no tea/ coffee amenities in the hotel rooms ! Later that day we ordered lunch with this rude waiter, he bought the food to our table but no cutlery! I then went on the hunt for cutlery! All other staff were polite ……..

Reception wasn't overly welcoming or that friendly but the room was fantastic. We opted out of breakfast and walked to a nearby cafe instead and after reading the reviews post vacation, we think we made the right choice. Would have given 5 stars if the staff had been just a little more welcoming.
