The room is larger than in other hotels, offering plenty of space, lots of natural light, and a well-functioning air conditioner. The bed is very large and comfortable to sleep in. The pillows are one meter long but quite narrow—a size I’ve rarely encountered before. It’s a positive that the hotel provides parking. While we didn’t use the other facilities, the cleanliness was acceptable. However, it’s evident that the hotel’s prime years are well behind it. Renovation is badly needed. Don't believe the photos!
Cons:
The bathroom is open-plan, something I didn’t notice during the booking. The toilet has a glass door, and the shower only has a short screen, causing water to spill outside. The shower tray is made of flexible plastic (something I’ve never experienced before), which moves when you step on it. There’s also mold in the corners of the bathroom.
The biggest surprise, though, was seeing that part of the wall plaster (around one square meter) had crumbled and fallen off. This is not something you’d expect from a three-star hotel!
The breakfast was also disappointing compared to other three-star hotels.
We booked a 5 day holiday with family with the hotel offering pool and bar facilities now with 2 days left of our hols they've closed them down for the winter.
It's 26 degrees and we can't use the pool what a bloody liberty,.will never use Fontana Hotel again.
PS reception staff were very rude and arrogant.
Just asked to hire a ironing board and iron but they said they don't hire them even though they say they do on the facilities,
on the way back to the room my wife saw a cockroach in the foyer.
Outwardly, this hotel looks nice and good. Actually the hotel is very crappy and bad service.
The first thing that happens when we arrive is that you don't have a room even though I booked.
In the end they arranged a room, But i had to pay 65 euros extra but we were not allowed to eat breakfast.
We got an room, who looks half clean. there was something sticky left on the bedside table that had run.
Day 2:
After just one day, I became extremely sick and one Child. the child threw up on the floor.
We asked for help at the reception and asked for tools to be able to clean. They refused to let us borrow tools to clean, but gave us a new room next door.
we asked for buckets, you refused to give us buckets. The child threw up again on the floor in the new room. We could still not get tools to clean or buckets. We was forced to live in This, 4 persons.
Day 3: still very sick, the other adults Also got sick This day. we ask to get room cleaned and the sheets cleaned.
The cleaning lady didnt clean the Toilet or the floor that our girl has threw up on. She only changed the sheets and also dropped a newly bought perfume on the floor so it broke into several pieces. The maid laughed at that.
Day 4: we are all sick, the baby also got sick now. we are now 4 people who are very bad and have to share a toilet and small area. because we couldn't get any buckets from you and you didn't clean the room properly I had to buy another room in order to stop the sickness.
Day 5: we are more energetic and head out early to have the opportunity to clean room.
When we get back to the hotel, only the bed is clean. The throw up is still left on the floor and toilet is dirty. We get angry and ask why they haven't cleaned, they apologize and we get back the 1st room we had when we got sick.
To my surprise, the room was not cleaned when we get it back. Even in this room, only the bed is made. But they have left This room for 3 days with smudges and residue from the bin We threw up. But it was mark as clean in the system.
It is now that I understand how we could get sick in the first place, the rooms are not cleaned properly, bacteria and dirt are left behind and transferred from to the next guests.
We wouldn't have gotten sick if it wasn't for the hotel. Even the breakfast is against all criticism.
Day 6: last day at the hotel before returning home, so there is no water at the hotel. The front desk said the water would work again at 2pm.
When we get home late on the last day, there is no water. We've been to the beach, are dirty and are flying home at night. We cannot shower, wash or go to the toilet.
But we still had to pay 99 euro for the room.
we return to the plane home without having showered or washed ourselves.
One of the rooms we got was really dirty, the guests have smoked inside and poked holes in the towels.
I immediately return the card to the room.
Another room we got was also ”clean” ,that room was even dirtier. Bugs, dust and insects on the walls.
This trip turned out to be the worst trip of our life.
We had to pay 99 euros/night + extra cost the first day and the room we need to buy when our room dont got cleaned.
We were sick the whole trip, stomach sickness which is 100% due to the hotel's poor environment and hygiene.
I made a complaint and requested compensation for the hotel stay. The manager was not there i we would not be able to met him, so The receptionist would inform the manager and gave me the email adress to contact him and send all Photos.
I have done that, the manager ignore emails, the reception also ignore the emails. They refunse to respond.
Please, stay Away if you dont want to get sick and get the trip ruined.
Also you have to buy in the street shops towels for seating and using the pool
On arrival we could not use the shower or toilet as water mains in the street where being repaired

Good beds.
The lamps in our room gave very little light! The lighting is poor for reading and make up. With no wall between the bed and the bathroom, it's impossible for one person to sleep if the other person is up.
Nice staff.
Good breakfast, fresh and delicate food.
