Hotel Costa Narejos

I will start with the positive points about the hotel. It’s in a great location a 4 minute walk to the beach and surrounded by some great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Everywhere is kept spotlessly clean in the hotel. There is a happy hour from 5 to 7 with 40% off drinks. There is also a spa on the 5th floor of the hotel which I tried and got the most amazing massage from Julie who is so friendly and knowledgeable and runs the place like clock work. Well worth a visit on your stay and prices are very good. The negatives are the hotel rooms are dated and really need upgraded. The breakfast selection was good something for everyone but the evening meal selection was terrible and the food was lukewarm which was a shame. There was no real entertainment in the bar area at night when we were there in October apart from background music playing and a couple of nights of bingo. I would definitely go back to Los Alcazares and the beautiful Mar Menor as it is definitely a place to relax but I don’t think I would return to the hotel until they have improved the rooms and food selection.

Stayed here for two weeks in August 2024. Allowed to check in at 2pm rather than 3pm as our double room was ready.
Large airey room with modern bathroom fixtures and fittings with a bath.
Our room was located on the corner of the hotel which gave us a balcony going round the two sides. Unfortunately it overlooked a patch of derelict land.
Room had air conditioning, a fridge but no mini bar. There was also no tea / coffee making facilities. There was a safe, but you had to pay to use it which is a gripe of mine as it is a security issue. Large TV in the room but only one English speaking channel which was Sky News.
Room made up and towels changed every day.
Abysmal WiFi which was off more often than on.
For the size of the hotel the pool area was quite small which resulted in it filling up quite quickly each morning.
Car parking in the underground car park was €9 a day.
Although this is classed as a 4* hotel it still seemed a little basic, especially the rooms.
Very centrally located for the main strip of bars and restaurants in Los Alcazares.
I am of the opinion that this hotel caters more for Spanish families rather than the British Market.
