Scandic Grand Marina

Spacious room, guest needs well covered without being excessive. Towel warming rail was a real godsend for me. Thoughtfully arranged hanging spaces that I very much appreciated. The bed was unusual with a thin mattress pad but it was surprisingly comfortable. I really liked the commitment to sustainability, including paper bin liners, rubbish sorting, and encouragement to drink Helsinki's delicious tap water rather than bottled. The service is classic Finnish - helpful when you ask for it.
The sweet location is near the port, Allas Sea Pool and the old market hall. Trams run very close by and are frequent. There is a well stocked supermarket just around the corner. The views of the port are not romantic but they are pleasant.
The included breakfast is wonderfully comprehensive and many traditional Finnish options are offered, like a good array of pickled vegetables.

Enjoyed my stay at the Hotel. Furniture is old, so is the bathroom. Despite These Things this Hotel has somehow a luxurious and calming Vibe.
Breakfast was excellent, but If you come late, it gets very busy. (It might have been only this Weekend, There was an Open Air Concert and the Helsinki Marathon)

It's a very nice place to stay overnight. The room was spacious and bright. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was offered in a huge display, maybe even a little too much. I could imagine there's a lot of waste being produced there.

We stayed here recently for a convention in Helsinki and were so pleasantly surprised with the location l. We knew it would be pretty close to the city but the walk in is only about 10-15 min leisurely stroll past some awesome markets and the marina.
Also it’s actually on an island so a mince morning stroll around it is a must.
The buffet breakfast was awesome so much seating and food was delicious fresh and plentiful.

Has 3 saunas and a decent gym as well. Also washing machine and dryer for guest use. Out the back is a supermarket to pick up essentials.

Just the rooms could be services a little more thoroughly is the only recommendation otherwise full 5 stars.

The location was great as I walked to the hot spots for 10 minutes. Great walking distance to major landmarks and water. It is close to tram and groceries store.

We stayed at the Grand Marina for a few days and we very pleased with our overall experience. The rooms were comfortable even if not spacious by North American standards, but functional. The staff were very receptive to our requests ( kettle, extra hangers and such) and very friendly. The breakfast buffet is quite impressive.
The only negative was that the mini bar /fridge did not work.
The location is very practical, only a few minutes walk to the Market square and 2 trams run in the area, making going to the train station and other points of interest quite easy.

We are family from Indonesia, dad and mom with 2 kids. First visit to Helsinki for holiday.

We was touched by friendly staff and hospitality. Mina, lady who served us in our very2 late check in was excellent, really helpful and accomodative with our needs.

Hotel facility is great for family. Location is good. Decent breakfast, our kids was very happy with the meals. Various and tasty.

No doubt, we would stay again in this hotel at the time when we visit Helsinki, either for holiday or business.

Grand old building with original warehouse beams but a nice internal renovation. The bathroom had old tiles though, with a free standing bath that had mold around the tiles on the wall next to it (no water seal??). There was also no tea or coffee facilities but we did have an ironing system. 🥴 Good area to access some cruises though, but otherwise quiet area of town.
