Lovely hotel - super chic, nice rooms, sustainability themed throughout. Love the foyer and includes a piano to play on! The bar was lovely and the breakfast was great. The wellness centre on the top floor is cool - two saunas, steam room, pool, jacuzzi and plunge pool. Staff on the front desk were friendly and quickly helped us with a cot and change of sheets. Lovely stay!

I took my partner here for a long weekend so we could visit Helsinki. Breakfast and wellness facilities were included which both were very nice. Easy transport to the city and airport. Rooms are small but cozy and everything you need. Would definitely stay here again.

Rooms were small for typical US traveler, but completely adequate for a stay. Spa and breakfast definitely worth adding. Spa area was busy but quite manageable. View from roof was very nice. Price very reasonable. I would definitely stay again.

Beautiful business hotel outside of Helsinki city centre. The rooms are small but comfortable and have everything you need for a pleasant stay. The spa centre is beautiful and the rooftop atmosphere is great. Gym is well equipped. Food is very tasty and diverse.

VALO was very clean and tidy, but wouldn’t recommend it for someone on vacation. The Comfort sized room was VERY small, and the bathroom was laughable. Definitely too small for three adults plus luggage. The whole place has a super hipster vibe, but unfortunately that makes the check in process a little difficult. The kiosks they have for check in/out are not
user friendly, but neither is the staff. They were a little rude. At first I thought, maybe that’s just the way Finnish people come across, but while exploring Helsinki I realized that no, that’s just how the staff at the VALO is. When my wife asked for information about a particular massage, the staff member at reception responded, “well I don’t know because I’ve never had one.” That shouldn’t matter, as the staff member should at least have a basic knowledge of what services are offered at their property.
Also, it’s a bit of a trek to any of the touristy things.
I will say, the breakfast is awesome. A little bit of something for everyone. And the yogurt bar is the best breakfast offering we’ve seen in a hotel breakfast.
Overall, wasn’t the worst place we’ve stayed, but definitely not the best.

We stayed here for six days during our trip as a couple and we had lovely experience. The breakfast buffet offer has a good value for money. The options were abundant and delicious. The rooms were what you would expect from a hotel of this sort. They did not have extra amenities such as toothbrush or napkins though. The workers at the reception were helpful and friendly, as they even lent us an umbrella during the rainy days. Overall I would recommend others to stay here 💕

While the overall stay was good, there were a few things that could have been improved. We accidentally broke a glass in the room, which felt a bit cramped with very little space. Although we cleaned it up ourselves, we requested housekeeping to vacuum to ensure no one got hurt. It seemed like they serviced the room, but unfortunately there were still shards left behind, and my husband ended up cutting himself. Additionally, the breakfast options were a little limited, though the lunch was great for the price. We were also not happy that the spa facilities weren’t included with the room, which was disappointing.

I booked for the spa and had a lovely time. I went to the wrong locker room and the staff nicely helped me to locate my things.
I had a cocktail which was made by a machine but it was still good not too sweet.
I didn’t use the sauna since it was +26 outside anyway.
I mainly used the jacuzzi.

Great hotel for a reasonable price with breakfast. The rooms are quite nice and modern. The hotel also offers a spa and a gym with a rooftop bar. The location is almost outside of Helsinki, near Pasila. There's public transportation available nearby.
The breakfast was tasty but the options were less than I expected which was a bit disappointing.
The hotel also has a playroom for little ones. There are toys, boardgames and table tennis with TV to watch cartoons on.

We overall had a pleasant stay at the hotel (4 nights). The room was small but they made good use of the space that was available. The breakfast was okay but nothing too special. We missed some more options on the warm buffet and fruit/veggies. The cocktails we had at the bar were good but quite expensive even for a hotel bar. But we really liked the design of the hotel.
