Reviews
And for the comment regarding no bottled water in the rooms: Welcome to Finland, the tap water is clean and “its all you can drink”.
1. The reception. This is literally the first time in my life there was nobody at the reception at all. We waited for 5 minutes. Then I tried to call via the phone on google maps. It was not in international format — couldn’t dial. Tried a number on the website. Heard the reception phone ringing. No result. Then I found a note saying to call on another number and the girl came. Later, seeing she had to run between the reception and folding sheets on 2nd floor seemed that was not her fault at all, just the lack of personal.
2. The water. Again, literally that was the 1st time there was NO FREE WATER in a 4-star hotel.
3. The breakfast. And yet again, that was the first time ever after having the breakfast for the first time, we decided to never come back. The omelette was cold and with sugar added. Fruits (oranges/grapefruits) were cut together with the peel. I understand that people have different tastes, but subjectively that was the worst breakfast food for us ever.
4. The service. Went out at 11:00 hanging “please clean my room” label on the door. Got back at 15:00, the room was not cleaned.
5. The lobby. Forget about the photos you saw. The lobby is non-existent. You don’t see it using the hotel. You need to search for it. And also, it was closed for the holiday.
I booked a king supreme room, the conditioner was fully out of service and we had unpleasant sleep during the two nights
I've been in many places before, but they never charge me a 50e in check-in which is not written in the policies. Basically the 50e is for the minibar they said so you have to pay it and it's necessary, and when you check they cancel it if you didn't take nothing from the bar.
The finnish bartender in the Ateljee Bar was acting unprofessional and was full of anger the saturday 01-06 on 2:00am
two nights for 438e. Does it deserves so ?
ABSOLUTELY NOOOO!
I was in Clarion hotel helsinki last year which quite cheaper and muxh better than sokos torni
