Great location and right across the road from the main train station.

Great on-budget option
The staff is extremely nice, and I was surprised to find a Spanish speaker at the reception. Keep in mind that this is not a 5-star hotel. You get what you pay for. You need to use the stairs to get to the reception on the first floor, but it is cozy, right in the city center and within walking distance of an awesome lake.

A classic old European hotel, it has everything you would expect and some things you wouldn't normally have. For example, there are no slippers and mineral water. I suggest you bring some shampoo.
The front desk is very welcoming. Just leave your keys at the front desk when you go out.

We are so pleased we decided to stay in this hotel. Check in great, staff friendly and helpful, the room is perfectly clean and in good condition, the breakfast also was lovely. Would highly recommend this hotel. Perfect location for train station and then to stroll around the old town.

Very comfortable and professional
A very good atmosphere, clean, quiet and with friendly and professional staff. The bed was surprisingly comfortable, extremely important for me!

Nice gem, old fashioned hotel, with great staff. Clean and comfortable.

It was difficult to bring luggages up the spiral stairway as there was no lift from the main door to reception which was on the first floor.

I had an excellent stay at Hôtel des Alpes. The staff were wonderful and the rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. My room even had a nice view onto the street below with the mountains in the distance.
The only thing I would change was that the drain in the shower in my room was a bit slow moving, but not enough to cause any problems.
I would highly recommend staying here during a trip to Annecy- the location is right near the train station and many restaurants and tourist areas, and the accommodation is affordable and good quality.

The rooms are nice and clean. There was a bit of a humid smell in there, but it was fine when we turned on the A/C. The beds are great and comfortable. The bathroom was beautiful, clean and spacious.

The location of this hotel is the best part of it. We were surprised that the rooms did not have safes or fridges, which is pretty standard. They also make you leave your room key at the front desk which seems odd to not get the choice. You leave it in a basket if the employee is away from the desk, and when you get your key they don’t ask for a name or anything at all. Just seems too relaxed of security for such a busy area. Most of the staff was friendly but one woman was consistently not, and made us all feel quite unwelcome.
