Stay at the hotel Thalazur Arcachon: Let yourself be pampered by going to the Parcours Marin, including an indoor swimming pool with sea water heated to 32°C, hammams, sauna and fitness room (9:00 am to 12:45 pm, then 1:45 pm to 7:15 pm and until 6:15 pm on Sundays). From April to October, this access includes the outdoor heated pool at 26°C (9:00 am to 9:00 pm every day). Treatments and massages are available for booking (surcharge).

The restaurant Côté d'Arguin welcomes you every midday and evening, and offers you to discover a traditional French cuisine, served on the terrace from where you can admire the view of the green gardens. Sip your favorite cocktails, by going to the restaurant bar, the Sterne, open every day from noon until the end of dinner service.
Breakfast side, a large sweet and savory buffet, hot and cold, every morning between 7:00 am and 10:30 am, and Continental until 11:30 in the room (additional charge according to the rate of your booked room).
All rooms include courtesy tray (soluble coffee, herbal teas and teas) with kettle, safe, bathrobes, towel set, slippers for dry floors (plastic slippers required for access to the Parcours Marin), flat-screen TV, toiletries and shampoo in the bathroom, and hairdryer.

Services on request: ironing board and iron // additional charge: hotel-airport shuttle (72 hours in advance), bouquet of flowers (72 hours in advance), half or full day bike rental.

A bigger issue is hygiene around the facilities: early morning we observed a worker hosing some organic overnight substances (let’s call them bird poo) from the pool deck into the pool. Chlorine is felt very strongly in the water, but still.
You can’t beat the location though - five stars for that.
In the most beautiful part of Arcachon across the road for a beautiful beach with great sunsets and a few bars.
Lovely pool, salt water.
The rooms are rather small for 6 people (we were 5), with only one toilet. The Kitchenette is very small and not big enough for real cooking. You can only really boil pasta.
A lot of the plantings are new so need time to develop. It feels like all the snagging isn’t done yet and a few things don’t work in the room and the staff are learning as they go. For instance they forgot to uncover the pool by 10am until I asked.
All in all a nice place. Room to improve but not a high quality self catering option like for instance the Pine Cliffs in Portugal. Over priced.
This level of disregard for guest comfort is unacceptable, especially for a hotel of this standard. Worse still, the staff’s failure to follow up showed a complete lack of professionalism and care. If you're looking for a peaceful and well-managed stay, look elsewhere.
