We stayed here for two nights on July 10 and 11. The hotel and our room felt extremely stuffy with barely any air circulation. The thermostat was controlled by the master system, and despite the front desk assuring us three times that the air conditioning was on and the fan was set to high, the room fan was never running. It was uncomfortably hot and stifling. The night desk staff mentioned that changing rooms wouldn't make a difference, but the kind gentleman at the front desk lent us a fan. The next morning, I had to constantly reset the thermostat, as it kept shutting off every 10 to 15 minutes due to the master controls.

The bathroom and showers were clean and nice, but the water temperature was only lukewarm, even when set to maximum heat. Breakfast was a disappointing 30 euros, featuring cold bacon, sausage, roast potatoes, and scrambled eggs. While I appreciate the hotel’s efforts to conserve energy, it shouldn’t come at the expense of guest comfort.

This is certainly not 4 star quality.

Location was 10minutes walk from Citi du Vin and 5 minutes to a bus stop.
Enora, the receptionist, checked us in on our first day and checked us out. She was friendly, helpful and professional.
Our room great size with twin beds and clean and comfortable.

We visited Bordeaux for our honeymoon, and specifically chose this hotel for a package which was offered on their site, the ‘relaxation’ package. The irony of the name, considering we had a far from relaxing experience. Firstly they had no idea about the type of package we had booked, which included a 30 minute massage and use of the spa. We went through at least 6 people back and forth between the spa and reception, none of them with a clue of what this package was, even someone suggesting that I hadn’t booked this type of package, despite showing the reservation. The best part? No management was about to help or rectify this problem. Thinking on it, we didn’t see a manager our entire visit. Eventually this problem FINALLY got sorted, and we got to have the massage on our MORNING of departure, we wanted to do it during one of our full days in Bordeaux, but we lost too much time chasing them for it.

The room was clean and spacious, but we had an issue with the smells coming up from the sewer in our original room, resulting in a room change. We had zero problem with changing our room, we appreciated it. We went down to speak with the morning staff about this, they offered us a room change, which we accepted. However we asked if they wouldn’t mind taking our case from our original room into the new one as we wanted to spend our day sight seeing, they said no problem. We came back from sightseeing and asked the afternoon staff if our baggage had been moved, they had zero idea of what we were on about, which clearly meant our luggage had not been moved. We explained the issue and they put us into a new room, so we asked to pop to our old room along the way to collect our case, they said no issue. We then got to the old room, and our bag wasn’t there! My husband went back down to the reception to speak about it, and went with the lady on reception to look for the case.

A brand such as the Radisson Blu is known around the world for many positive reasons, hence why we booked our stay here. I had a great stay at a Radisson in London in the past. I would not call the experience that we had here 4*, infact it was very subpar. We paid a decent amount of money for this hotel, to enjoy our honeymoon, which was sadly tainted by our experience here. It definitely was not worth the price, and the worst bit, we didn’t even have one APOLOGY for any of these problems, it just seemed they wanted us to pay the overly expensive price (which it wouldn’t have been if we had the experience which reflected the price), and go away.

Absolutely disgraceful.

Return visit for us. A really excellent Hotel in many ways, especially the staff. This time we were only able to book a smaller room than before, overlooking the busy road at the front which was, needless to say, noisy. But there are only 2 such rooms per floor, & all the others are very comfortable. Breakfast room on the 5th floor has terrific views but needs to have the floor polished, & some TLC generally in public areas. Car park very convenient

Loved the stay! Beautiful hotel, safe private parking, the area around the hotel looks very nice! The hotel is dog friendly, the dog can even go with you to the breakfast and our dog loved the stay. We got upgraded to a corner superior room that was very beautiful and spacious with a very big bathroom. The beds are very comfy! The breakfast is delicious and full of choice!

We are extremely dissatisfied with the service at this Radisson hotel in Bordeaux, France. We are a regular customer of this hotel chain, but this was the first time we encountered a problem. We were blatantly robbed! The fact is that on checking out we were supposed to get the deposit of 140 euros back on the card we paid when checking in. As we were explained to us by the hotel staff, the money should be back on the card in the next few days. A month later, the money was not returned. They did not return it to us even after numerous requests to the hotel to solve the situation - we wrote more than five letters to the hotel asking for the deposit back.
But it is obvious that a hotel with such a history obviously values the amount of 140 euros more than its reputation. I find that hard to believe!
By no means recommend to contact this company, unless you want to lose your money (or do it at your own risk, but I recommend paying them in cash). Terrible experience.

Starting to really love staying in the Radison Blu hotels. While each is very different, there is a consistency of both standards, and hopeful staff.
This one stands out because of its close proximity to the waterfront, restaurants and its very own rooftop restaurant and lounge.

Ok, the hotel is nice.
Nice rooms clean good shower.
Not sure about the cage like grids in front of the windows but not bad.
The roof bar is lovely, when open.

I’m staying here for a few nights and it’s an unfortunately soulless hotel. Sparse rooms with furniture that’s pretty basic. The whole place just seems to lack any emotion or effort. The lobby staff are helpful though.

The rooftop feels like it’s getting ready for a soft open; not somewhere that is already operating and the staff feel disinterested.

The food is poor. Just don’t eat here. It’s not good.

Overall there are better options in Bordeaux for everything the place offers. It’s not really worth coming here.
