There are dog friendly hotels and there are dog friendly hotels, and this is the latter! A luxury hotel for you and your pooch and an ideal stop off on the way to or back from the South of France. Beaune is a stunning French town and this beautiful hotel is perfectly situated to explore all that Beaune has to offer.

It breaks my heart to give this hotel 4 stars. The service staff was amazing but the hotel rooms are so run down! Our room didn’t look anything like the pics posted by the hotel. The shower tub was clogged and did not drain well. The AC was not functional. The lobby area was interesting. The hotel had a beautiful courtyard and secure parking area.

We just walk in from the street. Perfect place for an amazing cocktail.

While the service of the staff was good, the hotel itself is not aging well. The owner is clearly not keeping up with any maintenance or upgrades. The shower head was literally spraying in every direction across the bathroom, the toilet seat was no longer secured to the toilet and the bed was not comfortable. The room was ancient and looked nothing like any of the photos on the website. Plus at the price, I would have expected air con to have been added at some point in the last decade. It was barely tolerable in May. I can't imagine how bad it would be in July. Consider this to be merely a 3 star hotel when making you booking.

Beaune is a breathtaking, charming village, and Le Cep is well located for you to make the most of your time there! You're very nearby to the best selection of restaurants, bars, and the famous Maison Joseph Drouhin. The hotel, like the town, is a blend of old and new, complete with touchscreens in the room. The rooms are very comfortable and if you have time, the spa offers a wide selection of treatments. To top if off, the service is excellent and truly made our stay special.

I have mixed thoughts about our stay here. The staff were accommodating and helpful on arrival - holding our bags and trying to have the room ready early as we had travelled far.
It isn't a terrible place, but it's all the little things that added up.
We paid around 700 Euro for a room to fit our family of 4 with one child on a day-bed and one on a sofa-bed. The room (224) was very dark, very old-style with heavy red curtains and dark furniture. We saw other rooms on the website but I think they are in a renovated part of the hotel as they looked amazing. It was clean, but really needing an update. It was hard to get up to our room with heavy bags as is often the case. The "gym" was about 5 stories high in an attic - a small room with a few pieces of equipment. We broke a glass in the bathroom and had to ask 3 times for glass to be cleaned up properly. We wanted to enjoy a bottle of champagne in our room and there was only cheap, plastic glasses available. The champagne from the mini bar was not delicious either - maybe oxidised. We felt it was not worth the money - maybe the exchange rate contributed to this, but we had high expectations!

The two twin rooms we were allocated were pretty tired looking compared to some of the other rooms advertised on the web site which was a bit of a shame, but the beds were comfy and the bathroom very well appointed. The staff were very welcoming and helped us book restaurants and a wine tasting/tour. The hotel bar is well stocked and we enjoyed a nightcap in the lounge. I'd happily stay here again.

We enjoyed this hotel very much probably the best in Beaune. We had a fabulous time here. Our beautiful hostess Leah at breakfast was delightful. Breakfast was terrific! Our bartender was very nice! We enjoyed beef Bourgogne at a nearby restaurant.

Beautiful period hotel in keeping with Beaune and the surrounding gorgeous burgundy vines. Great service. Centrally located. There isn't a restaurant in the hotel but they take care of you and book local places. We stayed 2 nights and both restaurants were excellent. They have safe parking for your car if you are touring and they are on hand to help with your luggage. I highly recommend Le Cep if you are staying in Beaune.
