The hotel is across from the train station and a cinema with a lot of places around to eat and have a drink. It can be noisy in the morning when freight trains pass but if you're sound asleep, you'll probably won't even notice it. There's no parking of the hotel but you can park for free on the street during night time or for free on the train station parking lot.

Very easy as we arrived late. Room smelt of chips maybe from the restaurant downstairs but for a family room it was really well laid out with a double bed and a screen door between this and 2 single beds. Bathroom was a good size and clean and shower was very good. Hair dryer included. We managed to park close by. Would definitely recommend

Staff are enthusiastic and fun to be around. Food is served with attention to detail, and you could not be more central.

Hotel: good value for the money, very central on a lively, car-free, charming square. If you don't like late-night noise, book a room on the back (hotel offered this). Note: nearby underground parking is €20 per day. Bathroom could use some maintenance and an instruction manual for the shower system.

A cossy great hotel in Bethune. Clean and near to the town but they have some bad sides. The reception is closed after 10 pm. (Which is very early) and they forgat to drop water to my room and I called them at like 12 pm for water and they said they are closed. So it is kind of a problem.

Very convenient for city centre. We enjoyed our stay in the spacious room. We were on the ground floor so could wheel our bikes into the room and store them there.

We had a gift voucher for one night with breakfast. We booked on the website and had to pay. Refusal of the owner to use the voucher afterwards! Very disappointed with this fact. Forced sale! Superb moments spent in this particularly soothing place, you feel so good there that you even have the impression of being on vacation. This hotel has the best location in Lille, right in the city centre, near a large metro station and walking distance from the bus station. We had the family room for 4 and it was comfortable. The location was good, within walking distance of cafes and restaurants and not too far from the bustling shopping area. We came by car and although they did not have parking in house, they recommended a place nearby to park. Can highly recommend.

We stayed for a night and found the place to be very clean and well-kept. It was quite dim and dark, but that is part of the charm. The staff were all very friendly and polite. A perfect gateway hotel. Room was small but it is what you need if you are there only for 1 or 2 days. Breakfast was correct. Service was excellent, Alexy at the reception was helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and very tastefully put together. When stepping out of the Hotel, you are just where you’d want to be for starting to explore the city. Great value. Excellent location and staffs are super friendly and welcoming. It's not a modern hotel by any means but the room was spacious and comfortable. Can't stress how good the location is. You are within 500m of a laundromat, grocery stores, dozens of restaurants, cafes, shopping mall, etc etc. We were able to walk to the hotel from the train station as well.

This hotel has zero soundproofing. The front desk called to complain that my kids were being too loud in the middle of the day. And then, we had to listen to loud partying and people in the streets for all hours of the night. The rooms are old. The front desk guy was nice and helpful and the location is great if you want to be right in the middle of it all.

The room was very basic and tiny. It is without doubt the smallest room we have ever stayed in. They only supply one towel per person. It is very central and the main reason we stayed for the one night is access to a car park a few minutes walk away. Despite being in the town centre we didn’t hear any noise from outside. Directly across from the opera house, Hotel Carlton is a gem in the center of Lille. It’s a historical building, having been damaged and rebuilt after both world wars. This place has hosted royalty. The place is right at the heart of the city center with bus stops, railway and taxis very close. You can do the mail areas walking from here. Looks like a heritage building from the 19th century with everything very well maintained.

Pros: Surprising breakfast in a good way. Cons: The facilities are a bit old. I've only seen an orange juice machine here. The juice is the best. There's a wide variety of breads, all of which are delicious. Breakfast is served from 6 to 11, which is nice. I tried chia pudding for the first time and it was better than I expected.

The room was as expected but breakfast was very disappointing. They had set the buffet like a kitchen so guests could feel at home. A nice idea sure, but it was nothing like my kitchen and so I skipped breakfast. I do not expect a hotel to be my house and I was expecting to be attended to so I could get on with work.

Cozy, but noise. You can hear people from other rooms. If you are unlucky to have terrible neighbours, then you won’t be able to relax. Also, there is a bar right below the bedrooms on the back of the hotel. The noise can come to your bedroom till late night. The staff is lovely and the bedrooms are super clean. Very nice Hotel l, lovely view and extreme service orientated employees. Normally we stay in the Carlton, but this Hotel is a true changer. Missing a Sauna, but still very organized and good Hotel.
