Loved our stay here. thank you room was lovely, staff really nice, breakfast was great. my only criticism was when i asked for a room i asked for parking and a dog.. they explained it was something like 22 euro and 15 euro extra to which i agreed and then they gave me a total for the night.. which i agreed. We stayed for the weekend to Monday. We loved our stay,the hotel missed a few amenities like wash cloth towels or vanity set. Everything was great. Nice clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. The breakfast buffet was also good with warm options and a lot of healthy choices. My only suggestion would be to be mindful of the amount of people behind the reception desk as there was a huge line and it took a very long time for checkin even with a prepaid reservation.

I stayed last week for 4 nights. This is about my 7th stay there and it honestly gets better each time. The hotel runs like a hotel should. New place of relaxation and a cozy place to live! I stayed in a beautiful room overlooking the train station, well soundproofed. The dinner was exquisite and we appreciated the breakfast served in the room. value for money and the team at the top level:

Situated on the south bank, a little in land and in a residential area, the hotel is well located for many local attractions. The staff were extremely polite and friendly - nothing was too much for them to make the stay better. The main area of the hotel looks a bit dated, however the rooms are being upgraded so assume this will be transformed at some point.

Do read the reviews. There are two hotels in the same building. The ibis is very good. I have not been to ibis budget. Breakfast buffet is nice but as others have mentioned, no vegetables, very little fruit, so as vegan/vegetarian travelers bring your own. Auchan in walking distance. Coffee actually quite good.

I never got his name, but he was extremely helpful. We had just experienced a death in the family at the time. I had an amazing stay at Mercure Bordeaux Centre-Ville hotel. The staff was very helpful and answered every request. Breakfast was nice with a lot a choice. A very good trip in Bordeaux, thanks to the hotel team.

Very nice and clean hotel. We got the breakfast in the room because of COVID and it was super good and you could choose between sugary, salty or a mix, so that was really nice!! The only bad thing was that I called 2 days before and they told me there was room service but when we arrive they told me it was closed that day...

Ok-level, standard rooms and bathroom. Everything with a slightly brutalistic vintage feeling. Breakfast was the best. Nothing extravagant but very good quality in the food.

Kinda expensive but worth it. We even came back again rooms clean. Good beds. Nice amount of space. Right in the center of the old town but room very quiet. Breakfast: ok nothing special but you would need to do a bit of walking to find another place less expensive.

Having not travelled for a long time, the hotel and staff provided the best welcome and service. Staying as part of a larger group, the staff helped with many recommendations, assisted with booking, and were so welcoming. The hotel is very well located and the rooms well appointed.

Great location right in the center. Friendly welcome from the reception staff. The hotel has 2 separate buildings. I stayed in the one with a more contemporary design in the lobby, which was up on the 1st floor. Lobby & breakfast room nicely decorated, but guestrooms were a bit bland, but comfortable. Worked out well for my 1 night stay.

Private hotel for tourists. The location was excellent. The hotel is clean and tidy. The rooms are cozy, equipped with everything necessary. There is a discount at a nearby car Park. All within walking distance.

We paid extra for a 5th floor room which was really spacious and light and had a balcony with stunning views over trees to the river Garonne. Location was excellent

Very kind personnel, quite clean hotel and nice breakfast (Omelette, croissant, praline, baguette, salami, cheese, Marmelade, juice and amazing coffee of course). 5 min walking to the tram, and 10 min to downtown from there.

Unfortunately the reception closed from 12:30-14:00. We come in A lot of hotels and this was the first hotel that is realy closed. In this day and age this isn’t normal anymore.

A great location to stay at in Bordeaux. Across the river from the main part of Bordeaux but near a tram stop and walking distance from some great restaurants. A great place to stay if you go for a concert in Bordeaux. We stayed here when we came for Lenny Kravits and for Elton John.

Good room, location and overall hotel. Service at front desk was not so great. There's very little explanation of what's included and what's not and you have to clarify and ask for everything! Beware, ask more than once if the cost of breakfast is included in your room, because they will market it like it is, but then they will casually ask you if you've had breakfast at the end of your stay and charge...

Good, though basic, functional rooms. Unfortunately no kettles available. Uncomplicated and helpful staff. Definitely worth the moderate price. You can save the 10 Euros for the breakfast by using the Cafes located 20m to the left and right of the hotel

Nice hotel, very good location in the heart of bourdeaux, be careful if you have a lot of baggage or are renting a car, it is located on a mainly pedestrian zone. The staff is nice and are willing to solve any trouble that you may have.

ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint-Jean is a good hotel to stay for a few days, 1 minute walk to the train station (convenient for day trips to Arcachon beaches) & also the local tram to take you into the city centre. Try to get a room in upper levels & off main street to reduce the noise levels. The €11.90 Breakfast was fairly standard & clean.

Good location and good price. Rooms also are nice. To improve: wi-fi very low which is very disturbing since I work 2-3h per day and was a terrible experience. Pillows: used and bad qualities: woke up with back and neck pains + had to sleep with my coat as a pillow for two days (we were three in the rooms no one was using the pillows since we had the same experience, one was using a towel as a pillow...

Me and My friend stayed there last night in Room 116. The room was nwat bathroom beautiful, and very spacious considering there was two twin beds. A nice overlook from the balcony of the train station and Broadway.

It is a classic hotel with history. There is no elevator (i m at the 2nd, so not too bad), but it is right across the Gare St. Jean, very nearby yo move around downtown Bordeaux.

We always stay here when we are in Bordeaux because of convenience- so close to station, nice breakfast, and friendly and courteous staff. Perfect if you are renting car at the station. You can easily walk to town contre or by tram. Room is ordinary but considering the value and convenience in Bordeaux it’s fine. Much more character overall than ibis and similar chains nearby.

What an amazing experience! Absolutely loved staying at this hotel, right opposite the Wine museum and close to the tram. A bit away from city centre but easy 30 min walk/20 min tram. Highly recommend staying here and would like to commend the front desk staff who were so helpful and friendly. Cherry on top was the adorable anniversary surprise we got in our room :)

Great Location and a “wow” factor on the hotel design as they have re-purposed old silos. The service was top notch and great.

Positive-Service upon entry, bathroom/shower, and cleanliness. Cons-Bed was SO soft (it was so soft I almost gave a 3 star), AC was worse than another hotel in Paris that was a lower star, the room service was limited (not what is expected for a 4 star property), and the bar had limited hours.

Stayed 3 nights with a friend for a girls getaway.. Cons: 1 - seating downstairs on the sand, don't sit there during the evenings as the critters come out of the sand and you get bitten like mad 2 - went to the pool, and there is an outdoor terrace. we were told we could not sit there until after 5pm, then when we came out at 5pm, only to be told we can't sit there after 5pm..?? apparently, you cannot...

Clean and quiet, small room but okay. Booking site said there was a bar open 24 hours but, no, no bar at all. Breakfast was continental for E7.50 and okay.

For what it was, fine. You pay for what you get. Things are simpler and smaller than standard Ibis but were still clean and functional. Breakfast available but I’d recommend the Colombus & Co cafe next door as a better option. No in-house dining options but not far to find other possibilities. Staff were very friendly.

Great location. Clean and modern, but the bunk over the main bed isn't great. Very easy to knock your head off it. Bathroom is tiny bit modern and functional.

As always Etap hotels offer decent value for money. We had a room for 3 (double bed and 1 bunk bed), small and with a small but practical bathroom/shower. The shower has a semi transparent window so may not be appropriate for a mixed group. The heat was also very tough for us to take especially since the window can no be opened larger than 5 cm.

Simple yet well located just across the street from the train station and the bus to the airport.Cleaning service in room does not include the upper bunk bed.Air condition was broken and although was working in the main areas did not work in our room and the staff did not really care about it although we asked for help. Breakfast is extra .It's basic and ok.
