Great stay before and after the TMB. The hotel offers free luggage storage in their basement, which was very useful. It isn't 100% secure (you just pop downstairs and add your luggage to the shelf) but luckily we didn't have any issues.
Rooms are a little stuffy but we had large windows with a view of either the river or the mountains. No frills but very comfortable. The pub is very cute, great happy hour. Basic buffet breakfast with pastries, bread, yoghurt, cereal, fruit and coffee.
Excellent location in the heart of Chamonix.

Good location, walking distance to most anything. Rooms are clean. Adequate for one or 2 nights stay for TMB.
This review is for staying in August which is quite hot and hotel has no A/C, which makes you want to leave windows open and then the noise can be a problem, no matter which room you stay. You ether near the street, which will be noisy through out the night due to hotel's center location. Or, you're near the river which is constantly loud. If you're OK with that loud white noise, this is a perfect place for you.
The internet is basically Nonexistent. Sometimes even to check weather or email. It is so slow and so mostly out that it is useless! Don't expect any wifi if you're staying here.

We had a one night stay here at the end of our TMB journey. It has a fab location right in the center of town. Our room was a good size with a nice hot shower. We were overlooking the river and it was so full and fast flowing I thought it would be difficult to sleep with the noise of it but just snuffed it was so tired!

The receptionist was incredibly rude. The bathroom was in bad shape and had mold. The hotel was centrally located.

I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Valley Blanche. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the host, Alex, and felt right at home. That was much welcomed after a very LONG day of travel to get here! The location is perfect, being a close walk to both the train and bus stations. My room was right on the river, with beautiful views. The breakfast was superb! Fresh made pastries and breads, along with cheeses and meats, cereals, fruits and a fabulous coffee machine! What is not to like?! I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Hotel has a perfect location in the center of Chamonix by the river. However the hotel was in bad shape. The room was in outdated condition and no services on site except a possibility to have a very basic breakfast. The staff was very invisible. The ski room was awful.

The experience at this hotel was great. The room was bigger than the picture, and the view was beautiful. There was an elevator, so I could move my luggage comfortably, and it was convenient because it was close to major attractions and restaurants such as cable cars. Alex at the reception was very kind to help me with the things I need at the hotel, so I'd like to visit again next time. Thank you!

Very friendly, family run place. Location a bit on the cramped side - as to be expected in a mountain valley with steep slopes. Rooms accordingly rather small, but well equipped and modern. Missed a wardrobe/closet with a few boards and a real table. Friendly and qualified staff, chambermaids know what they are doing (not to be taken for granted nowadays!) and the location is great for trips into the Val Ferret and the Val Veny - lots of spectacular scenery in a small place!

The manager Alex is super helpful.
Within 50 ft. Of centre de Chamonix and near self sert laundry. Within 10-mimute walk to Chamonix -Sud bus station.
