I would stay at Intercontinental Marseille over and over again. The hotel had really beautiful views of Marseille, the rooms were spacious and clean, the bathroom was also large, and the balcony just made my trip so much more amazing. I also enjoyed the breakfast service, particularly the freshly cooked eggs, pastries, and crepes. All the elements of my stay, from the service offered by the front...
Great room (clean) and the terrace offers a great view of the city. The sauna and swimming pool were so relaxing and I was the only one using them. Would definitely stay here again if I come back. Valets were great but front desks seemed impatient.
What an amazing hotel. The views are so good and the staff so nice. The rooms are always clean and dust free, they clean immediately when you leave the room. Their food is also great. Just a great hotel.
Just got back from my first trip to Marseille and fell in love with this hotel. All the staff are so nice! Especially Jacob at front desk/concierge/management. He is the best! Everyone went above and beyond. I was originally there for two nights and then had to attend a wedding in Oppedette so I left and then decided to change my plans and return to Marseille for three more nights and stay at the Intercontinental...
I stayed here with my kids and dog for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience. The staff go above and beyond. The accessible room was spotless and beds are comfortable. As a Platinum member, we felt very well cared for. They do have plugs and will charge your electric car for you. The food was great at both restaurants, as well as the drinks. My teens wanted the pizza bar every night...
Iconic building and remarkable location. The terrace is the heart of the hotel, with good music and food. Nice rooms with view from the balcony over the harbour. The default internet was not fast enough for video calls.

Nhow Marseille is a serene retreat amid the city’s hustle and bustle. The rooms are spacious, well-equipped, and impeccably clean. We enjoyed a sea-view room, which is a highlight of most accommodations. The breakfast offers a delightful variety of fresh local products. The spa is small yet essential, with options to book various treatments and massages in advance. A special mention goes to Benjamin...
We stayed here for 3 nights. I cannot fault the hotel, it was clean, quirky/unusual and located in a convenient location. We ordered room service one night, then ate at local restaurants for the other 2 nights. The food was tasty, no complaints, the soft drink prices were a little excessive, but it is expected in this type of hotel. My only disappointment was that the pool was salted water, I had...
I had an amazing experience at Nhow Hotel ! The Spa was great and and the relaxing massage by Sarah M. felt like caresses from heaven . Thank you so much for your professionality and for your kindness 🙏🏻
We had a two night stay at the nhow Marseille hotel, and enjoyed the location and the gorgeous hotel. The room was a great size, well decorated and clean - we were located on the ground floor level next to the terrace, pool and spa. The man who helped with our luggage was really friendly, as was the receptionist who checked us in. The hotel is well located near to the La Plage and the new end of town...
One of the coolest hotels I‘ve stayed. It combines the elegant Mediterranean vibes with stylish decor and a friendly atmosphere. Spa is NOT included (which I found to be quite bizarre), but it was great too. One hour is around 15€. There is a pool accessible to guests (for free this time), but it’s not heated obviously. I highly recommend getting a room facing the seafront, the views are stunning....
Wonderful hotel. We loved watching the waves crash against the rocks below us, watching the sun set over the sea, and listening to the ocean all night. The on-site restaurant was delicious. We ate dinner and breakfast there. The room was very comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. Enjoyed walking and jogging on the coastal sidewalk overlooking the sea. The Welcome Desk staff was very helpful...

Conveniently located vis-a-vis Gare Charles Michel, the Alex has tiny but modern and comfortable rooms with balcony. Beds could have better mattresses, though. Staff is polite and professional. The surroundings are not ideal for dining, this is a Maghreb neighborhood where you will find few women on the street at night. However, a Metro station is right in front of the hotel.
Very nice. Good breakfast (only wish they had some vegetables and fruits). Clean and nicely designed
Very clean and nicely appointed hotel conveniently located next to the Gare St Charles. Nice, simple rooms, new and clean with great sound proof windows and AC. In spite of being on a noisy street, the room was very quiet and comfortable. Spacious bathroom with amenities. Nice and helpful staff. It is a bit of a walk to the Vieux Port and Le Panier but its convenient metro, train and airport shuttle...
very clean. simple. very good location . Nice decoration . Maybe more refresh air just before the customers arriving .... good place and good price .
The Alex Hotel was a great stop for a quick overnight stay in Marseille. It is so convienent to the train station (literally across the street). The staff were very warm and accommodating to us after a long day of travel. American travelers may find the rooms a bit tight but it was comfortable, clean, and cozy.
We loved our stay at this clean and convenient boutique hotel. Staff was helpful and the continental breakfast was just what we needed before we left for our flight. We liked the modern design and location near the train station.

We arrived early and were advised the room was not yet ready because they were upgrading us to a suite. The room was fantastic with a 2nd level loft bedroom and an expansive balcony overlooking the Vieux Port. The mini-fridge was stocked with a nice variety of included drinks. The location is great for walking to the attractions surrounding the port. In addition, there is bus and metro access literally...
Too many positives to mention all. However room was presented nicely, clean and furnished well. We had a Vieux - Port room with and fantastic view of the Port, the Bastille Day parade and evening celebrations with fireworks. The staff was outstanding. Helping accommodate restaurant reservation requests with little notice. We will be back.
As some have posted, the hotel is a bit faded, but the great room and friendly helpful staff made up for this. The breakfasts are great and good value. It featured local produce. The highlight was the room view over the old port during the Olympic torch celebrations. Staff recommended great restaurants and were very helpful on all matters.
Lovely hotel in a great location. Helpful staff. Amazing view of the port. All you really need. Room air con was a little defective but I guess best to the open a window.
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. We were lucky to get the terrace suite with port and city views and wow, we spent hours enjoying the breeze and views. The service was excellent. My only complaint is that the room was quite hot so we keep the patio door open at night which kept us nice and cool. Highly recommend, and definitely go for a room with the view of the port.
This is a fantastic hotel in every respect. The location simply could not be better: view on the Ancient Port, all sights nearby, Metro station in front, ATMs and supermarket around the corner. Service was impeccable. Rooms might be small, but perfectly thought out, and excel in the important aspects (calm, you can get it really dark). Wholeheartedly recommended!

Very nice city hotel which was clean and good value for money. Rooms were a little on the small size but that is the nature of these town buildings. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful which really made the hotel feel welcoming.
We were most impressed with all the staff at this hotel. Everyone wore big smiles and was so eager to offer help and answers. The location can’t be beat given the price. It’s close to public transportation, and Carrefour and ethnic restaurants were on the same street out the door. You can even walk to the Old Port through Le Panier neighborhood. Everything worked in our upgraded deluxe room. We felt...
Very Nice hotel located in an industrial neighborhood. Rooms are clean and decent size. Pool is smaller than on the promo pictures. Staff is very friendly and helpful.
This is a good 4 star hotel in the heart of Marseille. I like the rooms - nice, clean with medittereaneo design with personal touch, the breakfast also was good. When you check in, you have to pay a deposit of 400 EUR. This is for what?
I don’t get the bad comments about the staff. For us, the guy who was in charge April 7 and 8 in the evening was great, very helpful. If you want a quiet room, go for room 4 on any floor (it’s towards the back so don’t expect any great views). Yes, rooms are tiny but we knew that before. Pool and Hammam much better than expected (not many hotels at this price offer it). Again, if you have reasonable...
The hotel is near the old harbor. You can reach it within 15 minutes of walking. There is a metro Station nearby so you can go anyhwere in town easily. The part of town is not special or very inreresting but compared to other parts cleaner less busy. The rooms are clean and the bed is comfy. The staff is friendly and helpful. Up market hotel. Enjoyed the pool and outdoor relaxation area.
The Hotel staff are well trained on hospitality aspects of their job, they were professional, patient and kind to me. If I ever visit Marseille again, I would definitely seek accommodation at Golden Tulip!
The room is beautiful and big (executive suite) but the sofà was dirty so we have asked for an additional bed sheet to put on. Some people of the staff don't speak english. The room service (dinner) is very fast and tasty.
We stayed in the hotel Golden Tulip for 2 nights and we had a splendid time. As we arrived at the hotel on our first night, we had to look for a car park nearby and as luck would have it, there was one directly located across the hotel. We soon found out, that you get a discount, when you show your hotel card to the car park attendants. After our car was safely parked, we entered the lobby of the hotel...

Clean and quiet rooms, nice service, close to bus and tram stations
The hotel rooms are nice and airy, the reception staff is friendly. The hotel offers private parking nearby (43 eur for 2 nights) which is surely not cheap but public parking is hard to come by. By far one of the very best meals and experiences we ever had. From the moment you enter, you are taken care of by the friendly staff, everything is incredible. The food blew us away, and it’s intelligent interpretation of French Mediterranean cuisine was upstanding. Would strongly recommend and go again.
We had the prix fixe menu on Christmas Day 2021. My advice is to not think of it as dinner. Think of it as an adventure or interactive performance art. That way it won’t be a surprise or disappointment when you discover that most of the food doesn’t taste good. The food is beautiful and artistic. The chef is clearly more interested in creating artful and sometimes clever food than in making delicious...
We had a great stay at the hotel. The room was big and the balcony very appreciated. The view on the sea is incredible no matter the weather (junior suite). I would have loved more amenities in the room (like a boiler, coffee machine, tea) and a bit more regularity in the services expected from a 5stars hotel (like picking up the luggage upon our arrival for example).
For a guy like me, who is not a fish eater, I was worried going here with my wife. But have to say, the food was interesting, all about the sea and I enjoyed the experience very much. Staff was polite, helpful and professional. Only minus was overcooked lobster, but these things happen. All in all, happy we went and can only highly recommend people to try, fish lover or not.
Everything was perfectly executed, beautifully cooked and the presentation was spot on. Some of the best fish I ever had accompanied with divine consommé packed with deep flavour. Slightly disappointed with the dessert as the saffron was overpowering the rest of the ingredients which were not sweet enough to cut through the sharpness of the saffron creams. Service was good overall but slightly off...
The restaurant was just simply amazing! Menu well though through, excellent wine pairing, incredible tastes, impeccable service. When we got the vintage port wine from 1968 the dinner climbed on to the top 3 dinner experience of my life.

What a great hotel! I've left a bunch of reviews after my first trip to France because I found the reviews of other users very helpful. Great stay in this lovely confortable and fantasticly located "family" hotel in the center of Marseille Rooms clean and confortable mastress! Warm welcome and excellent passionate chef's cuisine Highly recommended.
A mixed experience at Montgrand. The approach is interesting, as Maison Montgrand is actually a collection of four or five locations all located on the same city block on Rue Montgrand. Pros : The staff is extemely nice and reactive. The hotel is very well placed, and the rooms are clean. Cons: The hotel needs renovation, and maitenance work. We hear noises coming from the street, so sometimes it's not that easy to sleep.
