Hotel Hermes

Great location, friendly personal and clean price/performance rooms. I say "perfect" if it required to explain it with just one word. They gifted us a breakfast due to that we were "honeymoon couple". At nights, there was drink service in the rooftop with nice music and we just enjoy the sea view.

Strongly offer this hotel.

It is a great place to stay in Marseille. It is at the center of everything, in front of the port and just next to le panier. I loved this place. The staff ins amazing and helpful and the views from the terrace just takes your breath away (picture attached from there) Totally recommend!!

pretty good. but the air conditioner doesn't work very good, so it can get hot in the summer.

The Terrasse is very cool to get a beautiful view of the Vieux Port.

the Portuguese Receptionist (Monica I think) is pretty nice! She gave info about the city and let us leave the baggage there after the checkout in case we wanted to.

Perfect place. Service was the best. Very helpful. Marseille Port is a dream.

Good: location, friendly staff, clean rooms, nearly all the facilities expected for a 2 star hotel, good check out time.

Bad: no iron in rooms, leaving luggage in an insecure space.

Things that would be nice-to-have, but I’m not counting as negatives as they would be outside remit of 2 star hotel: the ‘air-con’ is more of a fan than proper ac. Also, I would have preferred it if there was a more secure space/process for storing luggage outside check in/out times. Chargers could be nearer to bed.

All in all, the hotel was excellent. Main thing is the staff were friendly and the rooms were clean. We would happily stay again.

I spent the two last days of 2022 in this hotel.
I occupied the room 301: I had a view on the marseille's "Vieux port", the view was amazing during the day and the night!
The hotel is well placed you can visit the city center all by foot. Ubers are easily founded in the hotel area in case you want to visit the beach or the cathedral you see from the terrace of the hotel.
Let's talk about the terrace: it's so bad that there is no barman there to serve beverages or planchas, the terrace is available for everybody staying in the hotel and has such an amazing view. it also has différent type of tables and chairs on which you can, eat, work, drink...
All type of restaurants and malls are very close by foot so no worries about last minutes shoppings. Restaurants do not close early in the neighbourhood and that is great, you don't need ubereat to eat ;)
The room was very clean, the bed was comfy, If you don't like thin pillows(like me) think about ordering one + in advance to avoid neck strains. The room is not soundproof so get your ear plugs if you don't want to hear your neighbours from the next room making love to his woman/man, nor hear the drunkards going home from their parties.

Great rooftop terrace for drinks and an amazing view of Marseille. Our bartender Louise was so warm, and the music was super fun. No shade, so bring hat and sunglasses

Rooms are small and smelled musky, but rooftop offers an excellent view of the old port. Well located near to restaurants and to the vieux port metro station.
