Reviews
I stayed here for a couple of months while searching for a rental apartment. The rooms themselves were clean, though a bit small, but the experience at the reception was disappointing. We had a clear agreement on a fixed nightly rate for the duration of my stay, but after the first month, the staff suddenly changed the terms, saying they could no longer honor the agreed price because they were expecting new groups.
In reality, my stay was during the summer, and the rooms did not have Air conditioning. It was extremely hot, and at that time not many people wanted to book there. Once the weather became cooler, they changed the price, which I found dishonest and unprofessional. When you have an agreement, it should be respected.
At one point, I was even falsely accused of not paying for a night, which I immediately proved with my receipt. That incident was unnecessary and made me lose trust in their management.
One of the female receptionists, who usually worked in the mornings, often behaved very rudely. On one occasion, she raised her voice and shouted simply because I checked out a few minutes late, around six to ten minutes, which was extremely unprofessional and uncomfortable.
Although some of the staff members were polite and helpful, the overall attitude of others, especially at the reception, was very unpleasant and disrespectful. Their behavior made my stay stressful and disappointing.
The rooms are clean, but because of the lack of air conditioning during the summer heat, poor communication, dishonesty about pricing, and disrespectful behavior from certain staff, I would not recommend this hotel for a long-term stay.
The location is great, close to the train station and all the shops and restaurants.
Our room was on the fourth floor, right under a slanted roof, and it was boiling hot. The air conditioning was broken, and their “compensation” was a busted fan that didn’t work either. We couldn’t leave the window fully open because it had no safety latch, which meant it was actually dangerous—if the kids leaned out too far, they could fall right from the fourth floor. So we had to keep it shut. The shower was dirty, the room was dusty, and the tap water was either scorching hot or freezing cold—no normal temperature for a comfortable shower.
Breakfast was hit or miss: the French bread was nice, but the rest of the fresh items were covered in flies and fruit flies, which was really gross. The only positive thing I can say is that the hotel is nicely located in the center, so you can walk straight out into town. Other than that, it was an experience we’d rather forget.
We absolutely loved our stay here! The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of Mulhouse, within walking distance to everything, yet peaceful and cozy.
The hotel’s interior design is truly unique – every space, from the lobby to the rooms, has its own character and charm, with great attention to detail. You can feel the creativity and care that went into making it feel both stylish and welcoming.
The breakfast was rich and varied, with plenty of fresh and tasty choices.
And the level of service was exceptional – truly professional, kind, and attentive throughout our stay.
This is definitely our place next time we visit the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for comfort with personality!
Passing through from Italy to the U.K. this has a been a great stop over allowing us to have a good break in the excellent town of Mulhouse.
However, the present owners started well making the reception area an amazing location, especially more so at Christmas, but they would do well to complete the refurbishment within the hotel itself, still the A/C is not fit for purpose, the rooms are not cleaned, beds are rock hard slabs, bathrooms have broken fixtures, no shaver points, mould and the cleaner waltzers before you can wake up! Wifi is very poor and needs Facebook to login (always down for us), the staff at night are happy to smoke outside the front door, so receptions smells and the best price is never on their website but 3rd party sites.
In the U.K. we would say "all fur coat, no knickers...", so, we have given up and now will stay elsewhere. I'm sure the hotel staff will argue the points above so here are some pictures (that I don't normally add) taken this morning!!!
