Positive - clean room
Cons- room was very depressing with grey walls and no decor. Very limited space to put luggage. Air Con did not work. Employee insisted it did but it stayed at 22c all night. The fan worked but not the AC. While the front desk clerk argued it was working he agreed for us to change rooms on another floor after he showed us a room on the same floor with the same issue all the while claiming it worked. We had no issues with the new room. When we have feedback to the hotel they again argued and told us it was working but wouldn’t go below 20c for environmental reasons. This is not true, We just wanted it at 20c not 22c for sleeping. Would not recommend.

Exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. Modern building and facilities. Pleasant surroundings, near to Rouen University Pasteur campus and the redeveloped Rive Droite, River Seine waterfront. Very clean. Good value. Enjoyable, add-on (continental) breakfast, with simple, yet tasty food (fruit, yoghurt, cereals, eggs, cold meats, bread and pastries).
High quality bathroom facilities (for a budget hotel), although, in contrast, the room furnishings were rather simple and spartan (for example, the metal tables have a somewhat poor 'feel' about them). In-room tea/instant coffee making capability would also be a really worthwhile addition, and worth a handful of Euros on top of the price paid for the room.

It was a one-night stay, practically just for an overnight stop. I managed to park right in front of the hotel, at the main entrance, due to the time I arrived. We asked the receptionist and were informed that there was no problem leaving the car there until 7 AM. Since we were leaving exactly at 7 AM, it worked out fine.
We didn't have breakfast at the hotel. Everything was well organized, following the standard IBIS pattern.

Lovely hotel, happy customer
Friendly and welcoming staff on reception. Room, albeit a bit small, was clean. Bathroom was very clean, great shower. Good hairdryer. Bed was comfortable and pillows too. Breakfast, good choices. Underground carpark, safe and secure for 10€ per night. Would stay here again if in the area. 👍😃

Recently stayed at this Hotel and had a nice experience. The rooms were cozy and clean, with a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff was kind and attentive. appreciated the convenient check-in at 2 PM and checkout at 12 PM, which made the stay even easier. The location is also good. Thank you, B&B Hotel Rouen! Looking forward to returning!

Overall a good stay
The room was clean and in good condition. The internet decent and teh staff helpful. There is parking for a fee but there is also free street parking next to the hotel as well. The only downside was the TV that is somehow locked to only function as a TV (which I can understand), but it seems that the extent of the blocking is a bit extreme. Effectively you cannot even see the program of the day or see the list of channels. The only thing the remote can do is go up and down channels. Reminded me of TV remotes of the 80s/90s.

It is a budget hotel, so we got what we paid for. The staff were lovely and luckily it has underground parking which is invaluable in Rouen. Walking distance to the cathedral, and bars and restaurants.

We found the walk to restaurants along the riverside very pleasant and the parking much easier than another hotel where we had stayed before. The one thing we missed was tea or coffee making facility in the room, but we were able to get coffee in reception. The breakfast was plentiful and had soya milk available as requested.

If you are curious about sleeping on a plastic foil under a sheet, I invite you to this hotel - despite the thick, comfortable mattress, your skin does not breathe, you sweat, you can't sleep because there is foil under the sheet. I suggest that the person who decided to do so should put foil under the sheets in their own home. The hotel room was dilapidated, equipped with damaged furniture and equipment and dark walls - nothing similar to the photos in the offer. There was also a stench coming from the sink drain, which, like most of the equipment, requires repair. For breakfast, there was a dilapidated juice machine and coffee with spoiled milk forming floating lumps. I don’t recommend this hotel.
