The hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood close to transport, bakeries and restaurants. The hotel is next to a nice park and a Japanese garden. The reception staff was very friendly.
And now for the bad:
The room was not properly cleaned. We found trash under the bed including a used electronic pipe. The floor around the toilet was stained with urine.
The thermostat did not work. Couldn’t turn the heat on. I called the front desk and they offered a portable heater. I noticed the same trend in at least two other hotels from the same conglomerate this summer when the thermostats didn’t work during a heat wave.
The restaurant dinner was overpriced and badly cooked. The staff was unfriendly to say the least.
The same sparsely furnished breakfast buffet, once included in the cost of the room, is now offered for about 20 bucks. I don’t eat much breakfast, so we were promptly offered a “breakfast menu” that includes coffee, croissant and a glass of juice for about 9 bucks. I said OK. To my surprise I was told to help myself with the items from the breakfast buffet. The pastries on the breakfast buffet are of the miniature kind (about 2-3 inches long), the juice glass and coffee cups were tiny (3+/- oz.). I said “no thank you” and I decided to step out and had breakfast at a bakery with real size pastries and plenty of juice for around 3 bucks.

Ideal location, North of the city next to the Japanese gardens. Only a short walk into town. Clean, quiet and great staff.
2 breakfast options 19 or 9 euro although there is an outstanding boulangerie just opposite the main park gates with pastries, sandwiches and salads to die for.
Only negative is poor quality built in hairdryer in bathrooms. Nor suitable for thos with long hair (Try borrow a proper one from reception or maids - we did, but they need access to more)

The building itself is beautiful and well located but we were disappointed that the staff in the evening did not seem to have much training. It did not feel like a 4 star experience at all. A few key mistakes were made and very little information about our stay was given. A 6:30 am wake up call for another room, charging us the balance without checking that the room was paid for, towels never collected from the pool area just piled up. Mistakes can happen and places can be untidy until staff arrives but when things are not rectified or made up for...one is left to question whether this is just a poor standard at this particular hotel. All this gave us a very unprofessional experience. The serving staff was very good and effective but the evening staff at the 'desk' lacked considerably in professionalism, judgement, training and rigor. After staying at countless Novatel we will think twice about choosing it over another.

The hotel is located next to the Pierre Baudis Garden and a short walk from the conference centre, where I had a conference to attend for a week. My room was on the first floor with the window blocked by a tree adjacent. The room itself was very basic. The bathroom sink was clogged and despite them fixing it, got clogged again the next day. The hotel is rather nondescript located amidst a few other similar designed buildings. The reception was just a desk with a laptop and a cheerful staff. At first glance, I almost though the hotel was undergoing some renovation and hence the reception was make-shift.
I had also decided to opt for the breakfast (~20Euro!). Definitely not worth the price. Perhaps much better options are available nearby.
Overall, highly priced Novotel property with basic amenities.

Loved it! The bed was amazing and nearby was a nice park and supermarket/cafés. Would stay again but this is a family hotel and there were quite a lot of children running around, screaming, and diving in the pool etc.

The hotel is located very close to the city center. The staff is very kind, the rooms are large, spacious, clean, and the swimming pool is a great advantage. Clean pool, clean water, and the perfect terrace to sit and drink a coffee. Was verry nice!

Very well placed in a quiet area, located just behind the Compans Caffarelli park and the Japanese garden. Toures amenities close to the hotel on foot: metro 5 minutes walk, shopping center, bus, Canal du Midi a few minutes away and if you come via the ring road it's a few minutes drive from the ring road exit.
The hotel is very clean, the room too. The staff is very friendly and smiling, especially the front-of-house manager of the hotel restaurant.
Restaurant: it’s a shame that the choice on the menu doesn’t change more often. Sinn good fresh produce, and hearty dishes. The huge Caesar salad, magnificent, excellent and very well presented.
Excellent bedding
And no noise from the hallway or from the bedrooms
A small downside with the TV channels: no access to all the channels when we were there and as it was the weekend the person who takes care of it was not present

The person at my check out was really disrespectful, aggressive, inconvenient and spoke badly 😣. she chased us down the hall before check-out time, supposedly we were trying to escape without paying the bill for breakfast the night before (just a croissant and a coffee, by the way) I explained to her that I was just doing a lap !!! She didn't want to, she was hounding me, it looks like she knew me from the start. Customer service to review because frankly 0/100 this level they have no respect.
