Mercure Sud Mini-hotel

The hotel is perfectly placed for our trips to Rangueil Hospital Toulouse and cable car actually opposite. The staff here are excellent, both friendly and professional. They always ask how we are when we arrive which is very welcoming especially as the trips for treatment are not something we look forward. On this occasion we were met by Carlos who welcomed us by name and asked how we were wishing us Happy New year and good health. He checked us in promptly and checked if we wanted anything in addition during our stay . We were leaving early in the morning and again check out was prompt and efficient. The rooms are always exceptionally clean. We are very grateful to all the staff for their continued kindness!

Amazing hotel and staff, we really enjoyed our stay with my family.
The place is in a good area and easy access to the city centre with the cable car.
I strongly recommend to stay in this hotel.

Venus pour un petit weekend en amoureux, l’hôtel est très beau, très propre. Le personnel est très accueillant, à l’écoute et nous apporte des conseils pour nos déplacements et visites. La chambre est magnifique, d’une propreté impeccable avec son mini-bar. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et diversifié. Un très bon séjour et un très bon souvenir.

Situato in una posizione eccezionale per visitare il centro di Tolosa. Le camere sono della giusta dimensione e modernamente arredate. Il servizio è effettuato da persone molto gentili. Ma la cosa più straordinaria rimane la colazione, una delle migliori che abbia mai visto, e che infatti ha vinto il premio della miglior colazione da hotel francese nel 2023!

Been staying approximately 3 month in the hotel, I have always had a very good service. The members were great. Over all, I have stayed there since end of October 2023 till 5th Feb 2024, travelling home in between. The staff members have always been helpful, going the extra mile. Rooms always cleaned and tidy. The only downside, is that going down town for dinner is a bit of a problem. A larger choice for dinner would have been perfect.

We had appointments at the Oncopole in Toulouse and booked at the Mecure Toulouse Sud. The hotel is a 10 minute walk to the Oncolpole. We arrived late morning much too early to check in but were offered a coffee in the lounge. After our appt we came back and our room was available an hour before official check-in. The lobby, lounge and breakfast area are immaculate. We reserved a room that had bathrobes, slippers and a Nepresso machine. The room was well appointed, a large shower and plenty of counter space. There is a bar and breakfast area but no restaurant, so if you don’t have a car you’ll need to take a taxi to eat on the weekend. There is a restaurant right next door but it’s closed Friday night, and all of Saturday and Sunday. The buffet breakfast was quite good with a selection of meats, cheeses, eggs, fruit and various bread & pastries. There are coffee machines and a lovely selection of bespoke teas with teapots. There is a selection of mini meals available for lunch or dinner if you’d rather not leave the hotel. The staff went out of their way to make you feel special from Wafa who assisted with breakfast to the gal at the front desk who offered us water for our drive home. The hotel is also located a 3 minute walk from the téléphérique a cable car that links to Rangueil Hospital and Paul Sabatier university campus. There is very good bus service available right outside the hotel grounds. Although a bit away from the center of Toulouse it is definitely a very good choice for being south of the city.

I erred when booking a room in this hotel as I hadn't realised it was so far from the centre of town, BUT my husband & I agree it is the BEST error I've ever done!
The hotel's room was spacious & clean. We found it to be very quiet. The air conditioning was quiet, which was good as neither of us understood how to operate the control! We found we could open the window slightly, but it was too chilly outside for us to leave the window open. The bathroom was also spacious with a walk-in shower recess. A minor criticism is we'd have preferred bath sheets, not bath towels & for the towels to be fluffier. Some of them felt like they'd been used too many times.
The breakfasts were always nice & offered a good selection. There is a nice restaurant next door which offered great meals for lunch & dinner if you didn't want to eat in town.
The staff are truly brilliant - the front desk staff went out of their way to assist us. They ensured we knew how to use Toulouse's public transport system & gave us explicit directions so we wouldn't get lost. Although the hotel is away from the city centre, it is very easy & quick to travel there.
