The location is beautiful, clean, neat, and well mentained. I do not recommend room 203 because the position is right under the concrete arch and it is very hot at night but otherwise rooms are ok, spacious, well placed with air conditioning and balcony to every one. We liked basically everything. The location is very good: it is near to restaurants and shops, to the beach and to the bus. The facilities: the kitchenette, the small playground for children, the pool which was clean and nice. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Excellent staff, pretty good accommodations and location. We stayed for one night, had the ground floor apartment. Very clean and tidy. Was mini kitchen with everything you might need and there is a huge balcony where many flowers (in the evening terrific aroma).

We were dropped off by the taxi at the wrong hotel and when we arrived at the hotel Eleni Palace we had a great reception from staff. Coming away with two grown up sons we were placed in a family room and then the manager toldusweneededa bigger room and up graded us to a huge suite with an open balcony which has amazing views. Staff are amazing cannot do enough for us.

Cozy, simple and welcoming. Breakfasts are modest but delicious, the rooms have air conditioners,some apartments have a kitchen, and a balcony, though you have to pay extra 5 euros per day to use an aircon and 1 euro if you want to use a safe camera. We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area. There is plenty of parking. Also not far from the beach and few of restaurants in the vicinity. A real value for money.

A perfect location with a sandy beach right out the back door. There is a nice sized pool out back. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are clean and the staff are more than happy to look after your every need. The bathrooms are a little small, the shower can be a challenge, the toilet is tucked into the corner but even with that I love it here. I do recommend the place.

We stayed at Vanisko Hotel for 3 nights. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was magnificent - fruit, vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, juice all the best quality. Everyone including the bar tenders, chefs, receptionists, and manger were wonderful to us. Should be 10 stars not five. Definitely the place to stay when in Heraklion.

Very good hotel, except the shower head is bad and the door seems to be broken so it’s extremely loud. The surrounding area is not that good. Very few restaurants to choose from and not a very pleasant view to see when walking. Came from England for a week in Hotel Vanisko with family, a luxury feel as soon as you step into the hotel. Very clean, spotless in the lounge as well as the room which had clean sheets regularly, breakfast was delicious and staff were incredibly friendly. There was a very large swimming pool area as well. I booked a half-board arrangement (so breakfast and dinner) and while breakfast wasn't the most exciting (mostly due to my own preferences, they had different items available, I am just a bit picky when it comes to breakfast), dinner was served from the menu of the excellent attached restaurant...

The island, the place, and the accommodation are wonderful. The staff is incredibly friendly, always smiling and very helpful no matter what your question is. The lady at the reception is a true angel, and the guys are extremely attentive. The kittens are very cute, and I can honestly only recommend this place. ❤️ P.s. A wonderful week at Castro hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is kind and helpful whenever is needed. Food is fresh and delicious. Everyone is smiling and it is the perfect location for families. At the pool of the hotel you can relax and enjoy the great holiday atmosphere. You may also find wonderful excursions. (Haris, a wonderful lady that can help you with these)

It’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport, just tell the taxi drivers the hotel name and they’ll know. Ride was 30€. We originally booked to stay at another hotel in the area and were redirected here last minute - so we were a little worried as we didn’t pick it ourselves! However the rooms are very modern and newly renovated. We found the double bed comfy too, which was a relief! Many reviews said they were two singles pushed together and always split with a gap down the middle - but ours was a proper double bed...

It was our first time in Crete and I had the most amazing time at Castro hotel and thanks to their friendly staff our vacation was without a doubt the best experience we could have had.I recommends Castro hotel from the bottom of my heart! Simple yet very clean and nice accomodations. Nice and upgraded modern bathroom. Big swimming pool with a lovely garden area around it. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was really good with fresh eggs from the same day. It was a very nice place to stay close to the beach and frequent local busses to city centre. Good value stay.

Nice place for short or medium stays. Clean and tidy. Friendly staff and good location on the main strip, just 200m easy acces to beach. Breakfast basic but plenty and good quality food. Room shower is a average. Good pool but no bar really. Best to hire a car to get around as its so central you must travel out an about.

The hotel itself what you'd expect for the price. Rooms are clean and tidy if a bit dated. Breakfast is good as is the pool. Staff are excellent, very welcoming and helpful fixing any issues immediately.

I loved my stay, this place is amazing, its one step away from the fantastic beach. Our stay at Tsagarakis Beach was exactely what we were looking for. A family hotel directely at the beach with a nice swimmingpool. The hosts treated us like family members and really spoiled us! The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need. The owner put a lot of heart into his family business. One can see many lovely traditional decorations and well maintained plants. A very good location, if you don't want to be staying in the center of Heraklio and want to be by the beach. Nice sea breeze from all of the rooms. A must, if you're a fun of the '70s, w antique furniture, and grate collection of old dolls. Very nice pool for when it's windy at the beach.

The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.
