Friendly reception. Clean rooms. Rather small balcony. The bus stop is in front of the hotel, easy to get to the city centre (bus 1 and 20) and back (bus 6). Supermarket over the street. Short walk to the public beach. The best advantage were early breakfast hours (7-10). The pool was also nice, not many people there and suprisingly I couldn't hear the traffic from the street that much.

If your flight gets cancelled and you're reading this review, the hotel isn't all that bad. The staff were nice and so was the food. Be sure to take a trip to the supermarket opposite as they had some amazing cheap food. Check the fruit aisle! Mot much else around worth exploring.

Great hotel with friendly staff who gladly help you out. I stayed over for six days and arrived around 22:00. I booked a half-board arrangement (so breakfast and dinner) and while breakfast wasn't the most exciting (mostly due to my own preferences, they had different items available, I am just a bit picky when it comes to breakfast), dinner was served from the menu of the excellent attached restaurant...

The island, the place, and the accommodation are wonderful. The staff is incredibly friendly, always smiling and very helpful no matter what your question is. A wonderful week at Castro hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is kind and helpful whenever is needed. Food is fresh and delicious. Everyone is smiling and it is the perfect location for families. It’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport, just tell the taxi drivers the hotel name and they’ll know. Ride was 30€. You can also order taxi at the reception for a specific time during your departure, same price. You can extend your checkout if needed. The beach is roughly 4 minutes walk from the hotel, asphalt road (no hills or steps). Room was well air conditioned, we had a very large balcony...

We originally booked to stay at another hotel in the area and were redirected here last minute - so we were a little worried as we didn’t pick it ourselves! However the rooms are very modern and newly renovated. We found the double bed comfy too, which was a relief! Many reviews said they were two singles pushed together and always split with a gap down the middle - but ours was a proper double bed...

Our stay at Tsagarakis Beach was exactely what we were looking for. A family hotel directely at the beach with a nice swimmingpool. The hosts treated us like family members and really spoiled us! The hotel is beachfront and the sandy beach is quiet. You can get free sunbeds and enjoy the beach without loud music. Nice pool, simple room but you get all essentials you need. The owner put a lot of heart into his family business. One can see many lovely traditional decorations and well maintained plants. This is not a luxurary hotel for parties but I find it very pleasent for family vacations...

We stayed at the hotel for 8 nights and had a very positive experience. The location is 2 minutes walk to a big beach. Many delicious restaurants are within easy walking distance. The balcony was far too narrow, and there was only one folding chair that fit across the room, so it was impossible to chill on the balcony in the evening for two. The shower was very small and the water spilled out. Otherwise, everything was great. The staff was really friendly. We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area. There is plenty of parking. Also not far from the beach and few of restaurants in the vicinity. A real value for money.

It feels like a European business hotel. It's not very big, but it has everything you need, it's great for exploring the old town, and they provide breakfast, so I had a great rest.

Perfectly fine hotel in the city center, with a good breakfast service. Room was clean. I did find some mold in the shower. For those with a vehicle, the roads near hotel are very tight with very limited parking available. Advise using a paid parking lot nearby.

The room, the staff, the location all are really nice. However, we stayed on the top floor and the whole afternoon and the next morning starting at 8 AM, there was loud drilling and hammering due to roof renovations. We had all family a comfortable stay with kind hostesses. The breakfast with high quality products for all tastes. And the surprise of us was the jazz bar 1866. We suggested for a nice visit on this city because you could approach the market on foot and do walks all day and night!

Nice location, not too central, but still easily reachable from the airport bus. Perfect for a short stay in the city.

The location is in front of the port, so you can walk there after getting off at the port. The airport will call you a taxi for 15 euros, and there is no coffee pot in the room.

The room is relatively simple but clean, including disposable slippers. The breakfast on the 6th floor is also relatively simple, but the view is excellent. You can see the Venetian Castle on the seaside of Heraklion. It is also very close to various attractions.

The Marin Hotel is located near the ruins of the ancient city, close to the city center, and has excellent accommodation. It is very convenient to eat and shop nearby. The owner is also warm and thoughtful, the breakfast is rich and there is an unparalleled sea view.

I would recommend only if you are there for one day or night and have to catch the ferry in the morning as location is very good and close to port as well as local transport bus station and airport ! Good choice to stop for one night

There is no better place as a hotel to be closer to the airport. Take any bus infront of the hotel and in two minutes you are there. Same thing for v.v. The Hotel is a three stars but everything works to your convinience. It's an Airport Hotel that cloce that you may also walk there. The Bar can serve you all you may need and even you may have any kind of meal from different catering places, restaurants...

Since we flew to Frankfurt the next day, the location (close to the airport) was ok.

I have been coming here for several years and always found the same warm welcome. Not to speak of the super convenient location not far from the airport for overnight stays. The recent refurbishment is a welcome upgrade too. My only regret is that the snack bar has given in to the regrettable requirement for. Pizza and burgers instead of Greek food. But I still enjoyed a delicious salad.

We arrived at diana appt in agia pelagia, and then Heleni received us as if we were old friends. The studios give an incredible view at 30m from the sea with a feeling of being alone in the world. Then the studios, functional but with all the necessary and very clean. But the cherry on top of the cake is that Heleni and her son Georgios and his partner, invite you for a BBQ unexpectedly. We loved it...

We visit this hotel with my friend next week and we had a wonderful time. The service was perfect with friendly staff and rooms are very big with seaview . You can relax in the pool with a coctail in your free time. The bathroom was very nice. All in all, would stay there again and would recommend it.

I was with my family in Aquarius Hotel in 2019 in Juni. Now is everything different. This year we were in July. Its no more apartaments! Its real Hotel! . For me is more than 3 stars. Everything excellent. Staff, pool, breakfast . I recommend this hotel for everybody: family, couples, singles, etc.

I was in the Aquarius Hotel 10 days. It was my 3 th. stay in Kreta. This time was the most wonderfull. The hotel is very clean, very close to the beach. The staff is very helpfull. Breakfast very tasting. Excellent omlette. Very good wifi. I recommend for everybody. They have also transfer from and to the airport

We had an incredible stay at Aquarius with an amazing host Ilias was very kind and helpful he had an open eye for the guests.. the room was quite big and clean!! The pool area was lovely decorated and last the European breakfast was perfect I ate a great omelet!👌🔝

I have just returned from another wonderful holiday here. I continue to enjoy the quiet location of this hotel, on the hillside with sweeping views over the fields to the crystal clear sea (you can see fish without a snorkel) with beautiful sunrise and sunsets.It is very relaxing. This was our second visit to the hotel. We received a very warm welcome and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has such a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful beach and shops ten minutes walk away. We had a wonderful trip and will be back again next year.

Positives - The hotel itself is small and friendly with lovely views out to sea. The pool was lovely and never busy, very quiet hotel. Staff very friendly and helpful, could not do enough to help. After reading some previous reviews we were pleasantly surprised. We arrived late and reception wasn’t open but easy to follow instructions on location of our key and we found our rooms. A good hotel overall, front of house can be a little "funny" sometimes but overall I would recommend this hotel. Firstly there are alot of steps down to the hotel so if you have big suitcases it’s a bit of a pain. Considering the room was booked a year ago , when we arrived at the Hotel, our room was not ready so had to stay in a suite which was lovely but a bit of a trek when we had big suitcases. The hotel is in a great location and free parking is close by. Walking distance to a small beach and a short drive into the town where the local shops and restaurants are. The breakfast that was included with our stay offered a variety of items to choose from and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We would definitely recommend this place even though we only stayed for one night.
