Nice hotel, we spent two weeks there, it's a quiet and comfortable place for a holiday. There is a pool on-site and the beach nearby, they provide simple breakfast as well. Water pressure in the bathroom was poor, but enough to take a shower.

Nice, quite simple hotel for a short-term stay, good location (not so full of people as in the areas close to the city center). But no kettles, no kitchen, no plates/glasses. Lovely staff (a family, I assume :)), good service.

Nice and beautiful hotel, rooms are comfortablrle with balcony, air condition and TV. Also there is swimming pool. The owners of this hitel very kind and help us in everything. We really enjoy our holiday in Minoas hotel.:)

Familiar place. Very lovely and calm place. In relation price vesus quality we recommended this hotel. It is simple hotel but is quiet, have a pool and is near the beach (350m). Our room have a fridge and it is posible to have hot water to make a tea or coffee.

The owners are giving their hearts to this business. They have the cutest dog also, who is very polite and silent. I feel like we have read so many bad comments which were undeserved for this place. You get correct value for the amount you pay, and they are not treating you less politely just because it is a 2 star place.

I really liked the people in the hotel, they are authentic and smiling with you every second while speaking, I felt at home, the pool is small but clean, my only concern is the location but you have public transportation and you can order freenow(app) as well, I really enjoyed the trip here in Crete

Value for money, the room was clean and spacious enough. Very basic amenities, small balcony, no elevator, has an outdoor pool, has a parking. Short driving distance from the city center.

Value for money! The location is very convenient, near airport, the city centre and the beach. There is a bus stop near the hotel, taking you to the centre free of charge. The rooms are nice, the staff friendly and helpful plus there is a swimming pool. Highly recommended both for work and pleasure!

A really nice hotel for a short therm stay. Staff is super nice and approachable. It is not a super luxury, but it has everything that you will be needing. The location is a little bit further from the town, but it is reachable with a car within 10 minutes, there is also a bus station nearby

The studio was basic but had everything we needed and was clean with sheets and towels changed mid week. The pool was lovely and very pretty surrounded by flowering shrubs. This fantastic country hotel and the family who owns it is worth a stay. We dont want to go home and the term "hygge" is the definition of our holiday here. The children loves it, food, drinks, pool, location and service is perfect. I definitely enjoyed my stay at Mirabello Hotel. The room was comfortable and was walking distance from the bus station and city center. My only issue was the size of the sink in the bathroom, it was TINY, but definitely not a deal breaker. I'd stay there again.

Very old hotel that needs urgently to renovate. Very old (and not vintage) door handles, extremely small bathroom, very noisy area although it is in the city center.

Great small hotel in the mid-center of Iraklio/Herakleion. Quite new furniture and clean bath. Only wish I didn't have to leave and take the key every time I went outside. Kind of awkward if you forget something and just left. Otherwise it's fine. Nowhere to dry or wash clothes, but that's normal for a hotel. Had a fridge.

There was little friendliness and service from the first man we met at reception. There was another one later that was a little more pleasant, but overall a hotel I will avoid the next time.

The best option if you wish to spend a few days in the center of Heraklion. Next to many restaurants, cafés and the sea side. Many payed parking options around. Value for money.

The room and bathroom were very clean and the beds were comfortable. Location is minutes away from the harbor and from the center where all the shops and restaurants are. Yanis was very courteous and helpful with answering questions. Check- in after hours is very easy and facilitated by hotel staff. I highly recommend this hotel.

For the price and location it’s great! The rooms are simple, bathroom is small, but it’s all clean and the bed is comfortable, the room has AC, clean towels, and the staff is very nice. We did the self check-in late at night and it also worked great. Only the WiFi has been a little unstable. Would recommend as a budget friendly option :)

Great location, very near the port, the main street and lots of restaurants and the supermarket. Service is great too. However, there could be more power sockets in the room, and the shower space was way too tiny - just turning on the shower already blows the shower curtain away, which leaves the washroom all wet. We arrive Heraklion at 6:00 and they allowed os to leave the luggage and make the check in at 10:30. Very close to the center (10’ walking), quiet area, absolutely cleaned rooms, no luxuries but you will not missing a thing. Just what you need when coming to or leaving Heraklion.

For a visit to Heraklion and just a place to sleep it is ok. Nothing really special. The breakfast choice was non existent if u have gluten allergies. Free wifi a bonus but parking a nightmare. You have to find a parking spot on a very busy street. Our toilet seat was broken but they did offer us another room but we declined as was only staying one night. For the price though it is worth it.

I cannot fault the service at this hotel. We arrived in the middle of the night having had our flight home cancelled and they could not have been more accommodating. Our rooms and bathrooms were spotless and having only been there half a night they offered to have our luggage for the day so we could spend the day in town. Such lovely staff made what was already a difficult time so much better.

Very basic amenities but a very friendly friend desk who helped us with various issues we had and found space for us in the night when we were stranded at the airport! Fairly cheap, clean, close to the airport, no complaints at all!

The location was excellent and the rooms clean, however the breakfast was very disappointing. It mainly consisted of 2 different types of bread and an egg. Having said that, the view was great, the restaurant just next door is excellent, and the value for money for a short stay just before or after a ferry is pretty good (just skip the breakfast as it's €5 of bread...)

We wanted a place to stay over for catching the ferry to santorini the next day. The rooms are clean, the bathroom is pretty small and the beds are ok. It's a good deal for the price and proximity to the Port. We reached the Port walking in 10 minutes. Wifi is good, very helpful people.

If you want lux, go and pay 100€ per day. This is nice for what it cost, 35€ per day for 2 persons. Staff was pleasant, they found us a room right away, in a middle of a seasson. If you need a place to sleep, and you're on a budget, this is the right place.

The hotel is a 25 minute walk to the city centre. The rooms are clean and very cheap. From 8 am to 12 pm there are a lot of airplane starts which can get really loud. If you‘re okay with that, then you‘ll have no problems with your stay. The breakfast for 5 euros is served to you, there is no buffet. We stayed at Vanisko Hotel for 3 nights. Everything about our experience was wonderful. The buffet breakfast was magnificent - fruit, vegetables, cheese, pastries, coffee, juice all the best quality. Everyone including the bar tenders, chefs, receptionists, and manger were wonderful to us. Should be 10 stars not five. Definitely the place to stay when in Heraklion.

Came from England for a week in Hotel Vanisko with family, a luxury feel as soon as you step into the hotel. Very clean, spotless in the lounge as well as the room which had clean sheets regularly, breakfast was delicious and staff were incredibly friendly. There was a very large swimming pool area as well. We liked basically everything. The location is very good: it is near to restaurants and shops, to the beach and to the bus. The facilities: the kitchenette, the small playground for children, the pool which was clean and nice. The staff is very nice and helpful.

Excellent staff, pretty good accommodations and location. We stayed for one night, had the ground floor apartment. Very clean and tidy. Was mini kitchen with everything you might need and there is a huge balcony where many flowers (in the evening terrific aroma).

We were dropped off by the taxi at the wrong hotel and when we arrived at the hotel Eleni Palace we had a great reception from staff. Coming away with two grown up sons we were placed in a family room and then the manager toldusweneededa bigger room and up graded us to a huge suite with an open balcony which has amazing views. A wonderful week at Castro hotel. The rooms are clean, the staff is kind and helpful whenever is needed. Food is fresh and delicious. Everyone is smiling and it is the perfect location for families. It’s easy to get to the hotel from the airport, just tell the taxi drivers the hotel name and they’ll know. Ride was 30€. You can also order taxi at the reception for a specific time during your departure, same price. You can extend your checkout if needed. We originally booked to stay at another hotel in the area and were redirected here last minute - so we were a little worried as we didn’t pick it ourselves! However the rooms are very modern and newly renovated. We found the double bed comfy too, which was a relief! Many reviews said they were two singles pushed together and always split with a gap down the middle - but ours was a proper double bed...

It was our first time in Crete and I had the most amazing time at Castro hotel and thanks to their friendly staff our vacation was without a doubt the best experience we could have had.I recommends Castro hotel from the bottom of my heart! We had a day room before our late flight departure. The hotel definitely needs reservations. The rooms are basic, but clean and spacious. We really liked the pool, probably the best pool for doing laps in the area. There is plenty of parking. Also not far from the beach and few of restaurants in the vicinity. A real value for money.

A perfect location with a sandy beach right out the back door. There is a nice sized pool out back. The breakfast is wonderful. The rooms are clean and the staff are more than happy to look after your every need. Simple yet very clean and nice accomodations. Nice and upgraded modern bathroom. Big swimming pool with a lovely garden area around it. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming and helpful. The room is small, bath also. The view is in the hill, no view just 2m. The pool is on top of the hill and the stairs are recessed in hill. It is far f from down town with all history. And on the evening a lot of crickets-like singing loud.

I loved my stay, this place is amazing, its one step away from the fantastic beach. The service is impeccable, all the ladies working on the front desk, are super helpful and nice, they were polite, and always supportive. They provide on point guidance. We had a beautiful room with a small kitchen and a big balcony. A small hob was supplied for cooking. The receptionists were always very friendly and took care of all our requests. The beach is just a minute away.

Very friendly staff but there are plenty of improvements to do. First of all the rooms are planned impractically. We stayed in 2 people room with my partner and the bathroom/toilet was almost impossible to use. Too compressed and the planning was not good at all. The bed is normal size but it squeaks all the night with every movement you or you partner makes. The same problems where in 4 people room...
