Desiterra Resort

First and most important this is not 5 stars. The pictures are surely edited to look wonderful but it’s not. It’s regular rooms I seen better in other islands such as Dominican Republic and that’s sad. Made my fiancé pay over 1k and last minute had a discount because they had no one. The rooms were like 300 per night and when we got there it ended up to 150 and the front desk guy has horrible service. I asked for the manager and he refused me . I tried to just understand the huge price change, explained I work for the airline industry and worked for hotel and he tried to shut me up. Only the front lady was sweet. Not to MENTION I left my ring on the nightstand before to go the beach and it was STOLEN!!!!!! Crazy how the nights I didn’t let housekeeping in it was perfectly fine but the one day I step out my room it’s gone. my mistake was not leaving it on the small vault but this cheap hotel blamed me. No compassion. We didn’t care about the money we cared about the value of the ring. It was given to me and they were trying to mix how we spoke about the price change and saying basically we want money for the ring that was stolen. That’s insane we payed for one of the best villas money wasn’t the issue. We are a couple who works for airline and make good money. It’s the lack of effort to even help us. Kept mentioning the good reviews they had like nobody cares. We care bout what’s happening right now. Not to mention the pools aren’t heated so don’t waist your time coming here unless it’s summer so you can shower in the pool. Not to mention the walls were coming off and my mom grabbed the pillow and it was full of paper wall and it went in her eyes. I been to 5 star resorts and I been to beautiful places but this is a nice place sure. Not 5 stars. Please be mindful that’s all.
