I stayed at Hotel Golden Star for 3 nights and couldn’t fault it. The staff were friendly and welcoming, the rooms were modern and spotless, and the pool was fantastic. The location is excellent for shops and restaurants and the bus station, making it very convenient. I cannot recommend it enough.

Everything was above expectations. From the pick up in the airport to the check out. Very friendly and welcoming staff, room was big, new and clean. The pool is amazing. Ideal location; our room was beautiful and comfortable. However, the hotel is not luggage-friendly due to the lack of elevators and abundance of stairs - there were even steps in our room, and no one helped us with our heavy luggage. Soundproofing could be improved, and the room (curtains) could be darker during sleeping hours. But otherwise we enjoyed our hotel experience!

Location is very good! Very close to Fira bus stop (just 3 minutes walk away) and convenient to take bus to other places like airport, Oia, red beach and black beach! Hotel is in Fira town where many restaurants and supermarket nearby!

The uphill climb is a bit far and tiring, but I think it's worth it. It takes about 15 minutes to come from the bus stop and 10 minutes to go down. We loved this property. We had our own private view of the sunset from our balcony which was spectacular. A delicious breakfast was served to us on our balcony each morning. The pool was very quiet and a perfect place to relax after our hike to Oia. It was within walking distance to shopping, restaurants and the bus. You won’t be disappointed with your stay here!

This a great little hotel run by a very nice other and daughter team. The service was great with a lot of personal touches. This hotel is a bargain! Their communication before your arrival is outstanding, and as soon as you check in they're available with great advice on local attractions. Excellent location and very friendly staff (Emanuel). The superior room with the sea view was amazing because it had a private terrace and a hot tub overlooking the ocean. However, the regular rooms looked very basic and overall, the location because it's in the center, it got very loud at night with people partying nearby.

Wonderful location just outside of the Fira City Center- quiet and comfortable. George and the staff were welcoming and accomodating- the value for the price was unbeatable. They stayed up to check us in at 0100 AM and woke at 0500 AM the day we checked out, recommended us a boat tour, and scheduled us transport to the airport.
