The view alone is worth everything! Definitely book one of the 5 rooms with the view. The staff was very nice. Do yourself a favor and skip the complimentary breakfast and walk down to Confetti next door for breakfast. It was the only thing really lacking but not enough to deduct a star for because everything else made up.

We went here expecting top quality service and especially food, however were left deeply dissatisfied by the quality of food, especially considering their price point.

I would recommend going there only during sunsets for perhaps some drinks. However even the cocktails lacked freshness.

Many other places on this island to have a good time at!!!

The worst experience I had in my whole stay in Santorini. We booked with the intention of having food, drinks and Shisha. Fully prepared to spend a lot of money and had made a reservation weeks in advance. We felt from the moment we arrived we felt uncomfortable from the treatment of the staff. The menu is drastically overpriced and the quality is drastic, the food also does not come as specified. Do not go here or waste your money

The location of this hotel is absolutely stunning! Probably the best spot in the whole of Santorini. Perfect sunset spot. However, it’s actually an amazing view throughout the day really!

We had the honeymoon suite, which had its own terrace with a hot tub from which we had views out to the caldera. The room itself was very nice as well, clean and tidy.

If I was to say something that this accommodation could improve, it would be the breakfast selection, as well as having a kettle in the room for those that don’t drink coffee (me!). Also, the Buddha Bar (within which the reception is located) is really really expensive in comparison to the other places around (they charged us 13€ for a bottled local beer)!

Other than that, amazing spot, much better than Oía from our point of view.

You would expect a nice place if you are charged 7€ for a coke or 6€ for water, let alone the overpriced food and tapas. We payed 30€ for a couple glasses of wine. But no, staff is rude (you have designated spots depending on the amount of money you spend), bathrooms are dirty. The only good things are good views for the sunset… but go watch it somewhere else.

La Maltese Estate , Buddha Bar Beach is one of the best hotels in Santorini . Such an amazing location in Imerovigli . The hotel rooms are very nice , well ventilated and spacious . One can get the best view of the sunset from the hotel balcony . The food served at the Buddha Bar is sumptuous . Mr. Costa and all the entire team of the hotel are very warm welcoming . The hospitality is impeccable .I recommend travellers to kindly stay at this beautiful hotel and enjoy the hotel services with amazing views .

We booked with La Maltese on a whim through a booking agent in Athens as part of a very reasonable 2 night package, and we were incredibly happy with our experience. When we arrived We were upgraded at no cost, and had an incredible view of the caldera from our balcony, which also featured a jacuzzi (which the kids absolutely loved).

Breakfast was served to our room directly at a time we chose by a very friendly staff. The room was very spacious and unique, being a converted cave house carved into the hillside. The beds were comfortable and the manager quickly took care of anything we requested. Thanks to La Maltese for an incredible spontaneous Santorini experience!

Our anticipation was high when we booked our stay at La Maltese Estate Buddha Bar Santorini, but unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. Booking three rooms for our family, we hoped for a luxurious retreat in this renowned resort, but encountered numerous disappointments throughout our stay.

The location of the rooms proved to be a significant drawback. While our room offered a beautiful view of the seaside, our family members' rooms faced the busy side of the resort, resulting in constant noise disturbances. This was particularly challenging for my brother's family, with their baby struggling to nap due to the daytime noise from street traffic.

Despite the allure of a private pool, its proximity to the noise only exacerbated the issue for our family members. Additionally, our room featured a private Jacuzzi, which should have been a highlight. However, upon use, we were dismayed to find that the water bubbled with an unknown substance. Despite seeking clarification from the hotel staff, we received no satisfactory explanation, leaving us concerned about the cleanliness and safety of the facility.

The disappointment extended to the breakfast experience. Far from the promised luxury, the selection was bleak, with unappetizing offerings such as cooked American hotdogs masquerading as sausages. As a pregnant guest, I found the lack of variety particularly disheartening, resorting to a repetitive diet of fruit, coffee, and croissants throughout our stay.

However, the most distressing incident occurred when I fell on the stairs and received an inadequate response from the hotel manager. Despite acknowledging the presence of morning dew on the steps, the manager failed to take proactive measures to prevent future accidents, even though she herself had experienced a fall. This lack of concern for guest safety was deeply troubling, and the incident resulted in a trip to the local hospital for medical evaluation.

In conclusion, our stay at La Maltese Estate Buddha Bar Santorini was marred by numerous disappointments, from noisy accommodations to subpar amenities and inadequate guest care. For the high price we paid, we expected a level of luxury and professionalism that was sorely lacking. Regrettably, our experience did not meet even the most basic standards of hospitality, leaving us thoroughly underwhelmed and disappointed. We visited in June of 2023, and I hadn't been able to post my review until now because I was pregnant and, of course, had little time to do so amidst the demands of pregnancy and caring for a newborn. We cannot recommend this resort to other travelers seeking a truly luxurious and enjoyable stay in Santorini.

The Buddha Bar has the best views of the caldera and sunset while seated in an ultra modern setting enjoying fantastic food and drinks. Staff are welcoming and attentive. The tuna tartare and ginger chicken salad were first class and drinks perfectly presented. Pricey!
