Room not cleaned upon arrival (hair and dirt on the toilets seat, sofa with black spots on it, bed sheets with blood). Wrong guest name sent by the hotel to the transfer service. It took 45 min to find the right van at the port. Hot thub not usable for 1.5 days and still dirty after cleaning. Pool not usable for 2 days. Power outage in the room in the middle of the night shutting of the AC and triggering the emergency light, lasted 1 day. Water shortage in the room for 1 day. Table on the retrace but no chairs to sit on. Breakfast not served at this hotel (but at a 7 min walk). While checking in the hotel manager is trying to sell you tours. No monetary compensation offered even if y we listed all the inconveniences we experienced during our 3 nights stay. Even for Santorini, it is not acceptable for a 5*, 500€+ rate hotel.

During our recent stay at Katikies Santorini, we were initially captivated by the stunning views and luxurious ambiance the hotel promised. However, our experience was marred by a significant issue that overshadowed our visit.
On the second morning of our stay, we were unpleasantly surprised to find ants in our bed. We promptly reported this to the hotel management, who assured us that they would address the issue and take care of the ants. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, and the following morning, around 5 AM, we were awakened by ants crawling on our heads. This was not only uncomfortable but also unacceptable for a hotel that advertises itself as a five-star luxury establishment.
We communicated our dissatisfaction to the management, expressing that such an issue is unacceptable, especially given the premium rates of the hotel. Later that day, a manager approached us by the pool and inquired if we had eaten in bed, suggesting that this might have attracted the ants. We found this insinuation inappropriate, as we had not eaten in bed, and even if we had, it is the hotel's responsibility to ensure rooms are cleaned thoroughly each day.
The manager was polite and offered us two complimentary cocktails at the pool as compensation. While the gesture was appreciated, it felt insufficient considering the severity of the issue. We are not typically confrontational guests, but this experience felt like a disregard for the standards expected from a luxury hotel.
While Katikies Santorini has the potential to offer a memorable and luxurious stay, our experience was tainted by the ant infestation and the hotel's response to it. The presence of ants and the handling of the situation were disappointing and not reflective of a five-star luxury experience. We hope the hotel takes this feedback seriously and improves its pest control and customer service to meet the high expectations they set for themselves.
