Early April it was pretty quiet both at the hotel and in the area, which was nice. Service at the hotel was very friendly and helpful! Food at the restaurant was extremely good, highly recommend trying the a la carte. Very nice experience!

We had a room with garden view and we enjoyed a lot the evenings in the balcony. The hotel is on a hill and the evenings are really enjoyable since it feels a bit chilly. This is a really beautiful resort! We went in the end of the season, few days before the hotel closure, yet they managed to provide the full experience! "Kristal suites Kato stallos". It is a rare find self catering Hotel in Kato Stalos district sea side. The recently revamped interior is absolutely "exquisite" all around and the lovely fine sanded beach right in the front of the hotel. It has a warm homely atmosphere as it is run by a hospitable family, mother and daughter.

I would give 6* if I could. Pristine conditions both indoors and outdoors. Delicious and rich breakfast in the morning with the sea view is something you won't ever forget. Definitely go for those. Nice hotell, nice helpful staff. Refrigerator and cooking plate in the room. Wifi only available in the reception area, not in the rooms. There is a swimming pool and one small swimming pool for children. Supermarket is just across the street. Bus to Chania takes 10-15 minutes, price pr. June 2018 is 1.90 €.

in October the place is not full of tourists, Platanias is more animated. In other reviews the staff is praised but I haven't seen them too welcoming, just doing their job and that's it. It's a 4 star hotel but a little bit dated. The pictures are done very well, I would say. What you get is not bad but reality is a little bit different than what you've imagined.
