Incredible scenery and super friendly and likable staff.The rooms very clean and the overall experience was amazing. Definitely suggest to visit for an unforgettable vacation especially if you have a family.For sure I will visit again in the future

Large, confortable and clean bedroom. 3 swimming pools. Meals are copius and ok for vegetarians. The staff very nice. Well situated to visit meteors and Vergina. About one hour drive from Thessaloniki. Free parking. Mini market inside the hotel.

A spacious resort along a long beach.
You can have your car parked just next (behind) to your room.
Convenient because the village is relatively far to walk...

Breakfast buffet unchanged for 4 days, oily food, and stale vegetables.

Dinner buffet lacked variety, tasteless food, stale vegetables, and extra charges for water and coffee.

Room cleaning was subpar.

Swimming pools closed, indoor pool restricted for kids, and requires an appointment.

Beds too soft; adding visco did not help.

Poor room lighting.

Overall a great experience and extremely friendly and helpful staff! Maria the receptionist was a great help with the check-in. Nothing to complain about the rooms, some offer amazing views of the sunrise and the sea. The food was mostly great, with good variety each day. The beach is exceptional, mostly sandy and really calm water, great for swimming. As an alternative, the spa and the swimming pools are very accomodating. We give our thanks to all the effort put in by the staff!

This hotel is situated in beautiful surroundings. You have the mountains all around and the beach at the front. It's really lovely. The hotel itself is nice. We had a problem with our room at the beginning mainly due to the shower not working properly and we told the staff at reception but nothing was done so we asked to speak to the manager. My 80 year old mother was with me and was struggling to get in the bath to shower so the hotel manager very kindly upgraded us for free and moved us to a seafront bungalow which had an amazing walk in shower. From then on we had a really nice time. The rooms were clean and well maintained and the seafront bungalow had it's own patio area and sunbeds. The adults only pool was great as it was always empty. I had it to myself whenever I wanted to swim. The beach is sand and pebbles. I think this added to it's charm. The sea was beautiful and warm and the mountain scenery was just perfect. The hotel never felt crowded and there was always plenty of space. We were half board and the food was good especially breakfast. Lots of variety. My only complaint was that the dinner wasn't kept very hot. The restaurant could do with plate warmers or something as the food always seemed luke warm. The food was fine though and always had a good selection of desserts too. We enjoyed our stay and would visit again.

It offers different options for different guests. But it did not meet our expectations, primarily because of the services that are not at the level of such a renowned hotel. We felt uncomfortable because we had to wait 2 and a half hours to get into the room (after 11 hours of travel) because the previous guests were allowed to stay longer and when we asked them for the same treatment, they were not understanding... The food is satisfactory value for money below expectation.

The food at the hotel wasn’t bad - many options and most of them tasty. However this was the only good thing about our vacation at Dion Palace.
• All 4 outside pools they had were very dirty, looking abandoned even though the hotel was fully booked.
• The hotel’s private beach was not typical for Greece at all - full with stones (big and small) and the water wasn’t clear at all (not that it was anyone’s fault!)
• The staff was polite but very very noisy especially between 2-4pm. I was there with a baby and having a nap in the room was close to impossible. The cleaners were like throwing stuff in the corridors while cleaning rooms at exactly 2 till 4pm. Very unreasonable.
• This was also the time when they were cleaning the rooms so our room could not be cleaned for days as I was trying to put the baby to sleep exactly then.
I personally believe they should be changing towels and cleaning until lunch, when people would be at the beach for example.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend going there with kids, especially if you want to use their beach.

We had a great stay in this resort, idealy located to discover the area while enjoying the swimming pools and a beautiful beach at the foot of Mount Olympus. We were 1 hour from Thessaloniki, 1h40 from the monasteries of Meteora, 2h30 from Pelion or 1h30 from the beautiful Macedonian site of Vergina. Do not hesitate to ask Evangelia, Guest Relation Manager, who will be able to organize for you some tailor-made excursions according to your interests and your agenda. Car rental can be directly done at the hotel, for a fair price and an all-inclusive insurance. The Dion Palace hotel is in full evolution, even if the infrastructures are starting to aging a bit, the slightest question of organization is solved (or even compensated) by the new attentive, caring and motivated team who recently took over the business and is determined to make it one of the bests hotels in the area. New team at the restaurant, where the buffet presents a choice of good quality dishes and highlighting local gastronomy, as for the à la carte restaurant it is worth the detour! You can enjoy a bar service at the hotel, on the central pool and at the beach : where umbrellas and sunbeds are waiting for you!

Pros: -sea water and the beach -friendly staff -parking spaces -everyday cleaning the room and change the towels -good breakfast Cons: -no matter how you set the air conditioner, it does not cool the room at all... it was impossible to sleep in a hot room , at night , with almost 34 degrees inside !! practically, the device just recirculates the warm air from the room... -you couldn't open the window at night because of the thousands of very aggressive mosquitoes... -no wifi signal AT ALL (like 0 !) inside the room... this was very disturbing... whenever you had to communicate via the Internet, you had to leave the room... -very poor dinner... -the water in the main pool is cloudy... -at the "adult only" pool, many kids allowed... -very poorly equipped fitness room.. just a few weights and a treadmill -the bathroom door is a shame... half sandblasted and the rest transparent... you could see everything from the room... very disturbing when you travel with your family, with children - the room is much too small for 3 people.. I paid for the accommodation for 3 people, but when the sofa is extended, you practically have no room to pass through the room.. in no case are the rooms calibrated for 3 people... and this in the bungalow!! I imagine how it would have been in a normal room
