Potidea Palace Hotel

If you are looking for an ultra all inclusive hotel in Northern Greece this is definitely not the place. We are a family of 4, 2 adults and 2 kids 8 and 6. Stayed in a suite.

The good:

The hotel is situated in a beautiful location and the property is lovely.
The reception staff is very helpful and easy to communicate with.

The bad:

Food - most of the food is bland, the options are somewhat limited. You can’t really nibble on something in between meals because nothing is available. The bars run out of nuts every day at different times.

Restaurant - extremely rude staff, overcrowded, not enough space. All meals promptly end and the guests are asked to leave as soon as possible, so they can clean. I have never seen this in any hotel in any country, it’s astonishingly bad. We were being asked numerous times if we have finished eating while we had forks in our hands. If you are more than 6 people you cannot make a big table so the staff doesn’t have to fix it after.

A la carte restaurant - the food is a bit better than the buffet. The service is way better. It is not worth paying for tho. We were staying in a suite and it was free for us, but we still ate most of the time at the buffet. We had a birthday in the family and a reservation was denied without any reason.

Pool and beach - extremely overcrowded, not enough space for all guests. Most sunbeds are ‘reserved’ with towels or other stuff from 8am onwards and the staff does not care one bit. The lifeguards are just for compliance, they mainly hand out towels.

Spa center - the spa center is paid and you get the very generous 1 hour per stay for free. That’s a joke when you pay 800€ per day.

Alcohol - just don’t try it. Very low quality and the cocktails are also bad.

All in all this is a place where every step of the way someone tells you that you can’t do something. That is not an ultra all inclusive experience, let alone for this price.

I cannot recommend the hotel and will never visit again.

We recently stayed at Potidea Palace in Greece and had a mixed experience. The property itself is quite nice, with beautiful surroundings and comfortable accommodations. However, the service left a lot to be desired.

The food quality was disappointing, especially for an all-inclusive resort. The scrambled eggs seemed to be made from powdered mix rather than fresh eggs, and there was no fresh-squeezed juice available. The dining experience was also quite restrictive; dinner ends promptly at 9 pm, and guests are rushed out of the restaurant immediately after. This felt very rushed and didn't allow for a relaxed dining experience.

Additionally, while the hotel is advertised as all-inclusive, the bar closes at 11 pm, after which you have to pay for any drinks. This was quite frustrating and not in line with what I expected from an all-inclusive package. Also, guests are allowed to use the spa center for 1hour during the whole stay.

Overall, while the property is good, the poor service, subpar food quality, and limited all-inclusive offerings made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been. I hope the management considers improving these aspects in the future.
