Poseidon Resort Hotel

1. Location - The hotel is situated in very beautiful area surrounded by green forest. There are no any groceries or shops in a walk distance. The nearest big city is Neos Marmaras. There is also a nice restaurant around 2 kilometers away. There is road along the sea where you can go by bicycle or motorbike and enjoy very beautiful sightseeing.

2. Beach – The beach is nice but it`s getting busy when the hotel is full of guests and you need to go early to reserve sunbeds. This is the only beach in the area with umbrellas so if you want to go to other beach you should keep this in mind.

3. Arrival in the Hotel – We have arrived at 2.30 p.m and we had to wait for accommodation as it starts from 3 p.m. Meanwhile we had to ask for some food to be delivered (of what was left over from the lunch) because even it is ALL INCLUSIVE there was NO SNACK on the Pool Bar. So thanks to the restaurant manager and the General Manager we succeed to feed ourselves.

4. Room - The room was good and comfy. The main bed is comfortable. The bathroom is nice and big enough. In the morning it gets little bit noisy, so you can have a rest until 7.00 a.m. without problem. Housekeeping is good.
5. Swimming pool – It is big enough for the hotel but sunbeds are too close and sometimes it is not easy to find your way across especially if you are with a baby stroller.

6. Restaurant – Breakfast is the same every day. The coffee is not of a good quality. Lunch and Dinner - food is diverse and sufficient, even also pretty much the same. There is fresh pizza. From restaurant you can have PEPSI products, cheap beer and wine. If you want ouzo, vodka, whisky or something stronger than beer/wine you should go to the Pool Bar.

7. Pool Bar- The cheapest beverages in Greece. Not so bad coffee. They regularly get out of something - one evening the ouzo was over, which is a pity – you are in Greece. The so called “SNACK” should be served there, but the SNACK itself is biscuits that are left from the breakfast and bread with ham and cheese (with NO TASTE) that is called – Sandwich. The staff on the Pool Bar is not very polite and makes you to feel uncomfortable when you go for second or third time for a drink or ice cream.

8. Animation – There is animation in the hotel which is quite poor. Most of the time it is to play movies to the kids. Every night there should be a Mini disco, but during our stay, despite the weather was good, from 2 out of 5 nights the Mini disco was missing and the kids were disappointed.

9. Areas within the Hotel – The areas are nice and clean as a whole but during our stay there was a piece of paper that stayed for 3 days in front of our balcony. There were some hoses around the walking areas that were there for 4 days for no reason and all the guests had to walk over them.

Overall experience 3/5: The nature around the hotel is good. The restaurant doesn’t offer local food (only one type of olives, no quality seafood at all). No diversity of alcohol beverages in the restaurant the others are of a low quality. Not good animation. Not enough sunbeds on the beach. Service could be improved. Not bad for family vacation, but not for that price.
