Mare Nostrum Santo

Randomly stumbled upon this place on a visit to a nearby beach. They had a nice pool with sangria, beer and ice cream. The pool is open to anyone, not just guests! It was a nice break from the touristy Oia - and very close to the city so that we could go back there for dinner. Stop by if you’re in the area!

Wonderful seaside apartment hotel with great staff. We loved the breakfast from Penny and her tipps for trips. If you came without booking day trips before, Penny will help you find what you like and book it for you. Purely wonderful and great atmosphere!

Very close to Oia by main road. Extremely quite neighborhood. Kind and helpful hosts. Provided us with map of the island and information regarding places to visit. Even gave information about a ferry. Rooms were clean. Bed comfortable enough but could be a bit longer and less noisy. Bathroom is bigger than what we are used to in the hotels. Breakfast was tasty. Not too big and not too small.

My husband and I had the most wonderful time at Mare Nostrum in April. You won't get a place this new and clean in Oia for this price. Yes, it's a half hour walk from Oia, but we enjoyed the walk since the summer sun wasn't beaming down on us. Because of the walk, we were able to see beautiful views and the other side of the island, which I wouldn't have been able to see if not for this hotel. If you're there in the summer, I'd recommend renting a car or an ATV, if the heat is an issue for you.

The hotel owners were so lovely and were there to greet us as we left and upon arriving every evening, to see if there was anything we needed.

I'd be more than happy to go back!
