My husband and I stayed here with our infant early this summer in a beach front bungalow. The staff and service were amazing. Their hospitality was the best we’ve ever experienced and they accommodated our infant as well. The food was delicious and the views/beaches are incredible. We truly had an amazing, relaxing and romantic time.
As I’ve read through some of the negative reviews, I disagree with them and they seem to be mostly from locals who aren’t actually staying at the resort. I understand people who say the rooms aren’t “modern” as they aren’t probably the most modern in terms of technology, however they are quite charming and clean. Staff cleans the rooms twice a day which is nice especially if you swim. Even though the resort was probably mostly full or full when we visited, we had our beach to ourselves most times and really only felt that others were staying here at breakfast where everyone eats at the same spot. Even so, we had a table and service immediately for breakfast.
We loved the location of the resort as we spent 3 days on the front end in Athens and it’s not far from the airport. The front desk even coordinated a couple taxis with us upon request.
We will stay here again and I highly recommend.

My experience at Grand Resort Lagonissi:
In July, I visited the hotel with a group.
The hotel is located on a peninsula with beautiful views.
- On the evening of our arrival, due to an error at reception, I was given a room that I had to share with another person from the group, even though my reservation was for a single room. The situation was resolved the next day, but I’m not sure how acceptable this is for a 5-star hotel.
- The room I stayed in was a basic room, a bit outdated, but that wasn’t the main issue. The main problem was that during my stay, the air conditioning wasn’t working; only the ventilation option was functional. I encountered the same issue in the new room as well. From what I’ve seen in hotel reviews, other guests have experienced this problem too.
- The beach near the hotel is beautiful, and there is also a restaurant on site. As for service, I waited about 30 minutes for my order to be served.
- The breakfast, which was included in the price, catered to all tastes and was well-prepared.
- The staff at the entrance were very friendly and ready to assist. However, I can’t say the same about the waiter who served us at the event we were attending at Grand Resort Lagonissi. He kept turning his back every time I looked at him to order sparkling water… I had asked for a glass of water earlier, and it seemed to annoy him.
Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but given the conditions and prices, there’s definitely room for improvement.

Grand Resort Lagonissi is my absolutely favorite place to stay on the Athens Riviera. The rooms are all so beautiful and the staff are all so friendly, professional and approachable. My fiance and I first stayed there in 2023 looking for a wedding venue for 2024 and as soon as we saw the property and the location we wanted to get married on we fell in love with the Resort. We got married at Grand Resort Lagonissi on June 24, 2024 and it was the wedding of our dreams. The event manager, Evi was an absolute pleasure to work with and made everything so easy for us. We also didn't have to leave the property in order to take epic wedding photos. All of our guests absolutely loved their rooms and the entire resort and especially had a ton of fun hanging out on the beautiful beach! Our favorite part of the beach was that you can get service right to your lounge chair on the sand with the press of a button. We plan to come back to Grand Resort Lagonissi every time we come to Greece we loved it so much both times. I highly recommend staying at Grand Resort Lagonissi no matter what your vacation goals are. It is truly an amazing Resort.

I have no idea why this hotel is classed as 5 star. It makes a mockery of the classification system. To name but a few of the shortcomings. Rooms and suites are tiny. I’ve stayed in bigger rooms in London and Paris for less. Air con did not work in any of our rooms (we were a big group). Staff were not trained above 3 star level. The service was a running joke in our group. Every order in every restaurant was certain to be late and or wrong. Charged €4 for additional capsules of coffee in your overpriced room if you used the 2 provided. Lots of stories from our group of rude staff. I was waiting for the usual questions about my stay at checkout…..alas none came. Funny that. Seriously management you need to up your game with standards and training. 3.5 star rated hotel at best. I’ve moved now to a Ramada hotel and it’s 10 times better.

Actually I had participated Conference over there. The ambiance of hotel was very good, location is wonderful. it is on the small peninsula and covering all the area over there. There are so many nice beaches and nice restaurants. But of course a little bit expenses for normal families. Meals were nice, I can not say wow but it was nice enough.

The guardian ask 150 euro per person just for the entrance . No more comments . And recommend to make an appointment in 3 days.

Beautiful resort and rooms, BUT unfortunately the day of check-out the cleaning crew opened and closed our room doors numerous times at 7am wanting us to depart so they can clean. Also, there was one very unpleasant staff member during the breakfast service who should just not be in the hospitality business.

This is a spectacular, gigantic resort. The rooms vary greatly, so choose wisely. We had a bungalow off to the side. Yes, we had the beach but there are better and worse. It’s extremely expensive. Service is great. They have golf carts to help you get around. It’s that big. Also they have their own helipad, which is convenient.

This resort may have been Grand at one point, but without a major capital expenditure to bring it up to modern standards... it will not stay in business long is my guess

However their rack rate is astronomical, and not for the faint of heart.
If your company is paying ... I guess it is ok.
That said, ..

Very disappointing and extremely overpriced. It's a long way out of Athens but with worse road noise as the busy coastal highway runs right behind it. The beach was unattractive and the sunloungers old and frankly filthy. The rooms have too many things that are old, broken, un-cared for. Very good breakfast but that's it. Don't be fooled by the "Leading Hotels of the World" branding. Needs closing, full refurbishment, then prices halved!
