Coral Hotel Athens in Athens

In my personal opinion, this is not a good hotel.

I've had a couple of issues during my stay but the highlight is how we could hear every sound that came from the room next door. Whether they were just speaking to each other, or slightly more intimate sounds, this was not a pleasant experience.

When I mentioned this issue to the staff at the front desk, their suggestion was for me to speak to the room next to us (no thanks), or for the front desk to call them and ask them to be quiet. I told them I do not think it's reasonable to demand that person to just be silent for their entire stay, as they were not being purposefully loud. The rooms were badly insulated and shared a wooden door with no soundproofing. We asked to move rooms and were denied to the claim that the hotel is at full capacity. Eventually, the front desk insisted on calling the room next to us and asked them to be quiet, this solved nothing as they were not even that loud in the first place, and the issue was the horrible soundproofing between the rooms.

This went on for the next 2 days and I'm sure it was as uncomfortable to next door room as it was to us. There was no follow up from the hotel to this situation, and they did not offer us to switch rooms even after other rooms became available.

Bad customer care, bad room insulation, no problem solving whatsoever.

For the amount of money we paid and considering the expectation of a 4 star hotel, this was a horrible experience and I cannot recommend you stay there.
