Sitia Beach City Resort & Spa in Sitia

Sitia Beach is a lovely surprise for anyone who visits. It’s very clean, well-organized, and spacious — even during peak hours. The sand is soft and comfortable, and the sea is calm and crystal clear, perfect for swimming and relaxing. There are sunbeds and umbrellas available, but you can also lay your own towel.

The location is ideal — there is a nice beach bar there called Kalamia that serves fantastic cocktails that are reasonable priced. We paid for 2 sunbeds, an umbrella and 2 freshly made cocktails, under 20 EUR.

Sitia Beach is just a few minutes’ walk from the center of Sitia, so you’re never far from cafes, taverns, or shops. The overall vibe is relaxed, family-friendly, and authentically Cretan — no large crowds, no stress, just pure seaside pleasure.

It’s the perfect spot for peaceful, quality time by the sea. Its a good choice when there is a medium North / North West wind, for the water remain relatively calm, as opposed to other nearby beaches that get kinda wavy.

Sitia is one of those places that doesn’t beg for your attention — but once you’re there, you never want to leave. It’s authentic, welcoming, and blissfully free from the overwhelming crowds of more touristy spots. I visited with my partner and we stayed at the Sol suite of Avra Maris, just a short walk from both the beach and the seafront promenade. Everything was within reach — an organized beach, cozy raki spots, seaside taverns with incredible food, and warm, friendly service.

The atmosphere in Sitia is simply magical. At night, walking along the beach, you hear the waves blending with the soft chatter of locals and the irresistible smell of grilled octopus and raki in the air. You don’t need much — Sitia gives you everything you need to truly unwind and recharge.

If you’re looking for a destination where you can slow down, feel like yourself again, and rediscover what makes holidays meaningful, Sitia delivers — effortlessly, without trying too hard.
And once you've been there, you'll find yourself wanting to return.

Drove 90min to get here on a recommendation. It's a town beach. With all the traffic and commotion expected. Parking was "interesting". The beach is nice though, soft sand and a gentle slope. Worth the drive, maybe, would recommend, probably for the beach and amenities. Quiet. No

Very nice hotel. Small but in the city so you can awans go for a walk. There is not bigos variety of the food but it is tasty. They have nice SPA. I can especially recomend terapist Popi. The only disadventage is lack of water in the room. You have to buy it yorself.

Amazing all inclusive hotel with lots of facilities good food and very friendly staff. The best part though was the spa! Stefan and Popi gave as an amazing relaxing experience!! We will definitely come back and visit the spa as soon as possible!

A stylish French-owned resort just across the road from the beach, and only a ten-minute stroll into Sitia's foreshore with its many restaurants. Accommodation and facilities were top notch, with the bar near the pool being a great place for relaxation. The only let-down was the buffet-style evening meal. A five-star resort should have a restaurant with an a la carte menu (this may be provided in high season?).

Sitia Beach is probably the most picturesque hotel we have ever stayed at. All staff at the hotel are so friendly and helpful; plenty of selection at the restaurant; easy walk along seafront to the town. We asked to be moved to a sea view room and this was accommodated quickly by the lovely receptionists. A special shout out to Stephanos for a very effective neck/back massage at the spa😀
