For me, this hotel was defined by a lifetime experience when I stayed there with my school for Erasmus. Excellent stay at the most central and convenient hotel of the city of Trikala. We were heading to Meteora but I found this little gem and thought to give it a try! What a a wonderful place to stay at, I highly recommend. The staff are very friendly and welcoming, they even greeted me with a fredo and water. The rooms are comfortable and in good condition. I am staying at this beautiful and very clean resort. The pool and spa is where I am the most. It is relaxing and is a full service resort. The upstairs is a bar restaurant and the food is amazing. You also have an awesome view since its on the mountain. This is the only place to stay in Trikala if you want to have everything without leaving.

Exceeded expectations. Room and bathroom was clean and modern, beds are comfortable and even has TV. My room featured a spacious balcony as well. There wasnt any AC but the ceiling fan was more than enough, even during summer. Offers great value for what you're paying. Really nice hostel. Clean, solid Wi-Fi, friendly staff, free computers to use, nice kitchen outside with pots, stove, kettle, and small pantry with free coffee and tea. Some storage space. Limited charging outlets not near bed but manageable. Cash only. Near a few supermarkets. Easy to walk to center. Highly recommended.

This place ranks in the top 10 Hostels I have stayed on. The reception personal was always very so helpful when ever needed and thanks to them my stay in the city was better for it. The rooms were clean and spacious. The lobby was alive with travelers having a great time playing the instruments or board games. The bar in the lobby had the best prices I have ever found in a hostel bar. I totally recommend

The Hostel Meteora is a boutique hostel with the most wonderful atmosphere! The staff are welcoming and go out of their way to get to know you. It is very safe with electronic locks at the entrances and has got big and clean rooms. It’s position in the center of Trikala city is perfect. Just close enough to Meteora to be convenient but far enough away to be quiet and full of character.

Amazing accommodation, with excellent facilities and friendly hosts. It's run by a Greek family, and while it's a short drive away from the nearest towns, it's definitely worth it. The host was really helpful, especially with helping us to spit roast a lamb one night, where they provided all of the tools and wood/coal for the fire. We liked the location and nice big rooms and balcony with a view. It was comfortable to get a rest after sightseeing. The only trouble was that the hotel is pretty big and there were several big groups at the same time. So no chance for a personal cosy breakfast or dinner. But we definitely recommend this hotel as it is one of the best at this place.

Me and my family visited Meteora and stayed at Arsensis Guesthouse. It was a beautiful home surrounded by nature and peaceful environment. We loved the hospitality and the good nature of the hosts. They were very welcoming and accommodating. Very close to the monasteries.

Rooms are basic on the equipement side but spotless clean, big enough with terrace, cool, beds are comfortable. There is a big pool which is open to public and thus always lively wirh friendly service. Breakfast is also fine. I would recommend this place to anyone.

A nice and local hotel with very kind owners. The rooms are simple Greek rooms, but have great air conditioning and are very clean. There is an enormous pool if you know that there are only seven rooms in the hotel. But downside of this pool is that it is used by a lot of local Greeks. So barely any place for a quite swim during our stay. So do not expect a quiet pool at this quiet hotel.

The furniture is a bit old but ok. Breakfast could be better. The service at the pool is perfect and the views to Meteora are splendid.

A lovely family hotel. Very friendly atmosphere. The whole town was great, and all of us on tour went away with great memories. The monasteries truly have to be seen to see some unbelievable buildings, and to be lucky enough to actually visit one was a special experience. The hotel is a cab ride from town . Offers breakfast and a buffet dinner, no lunch . Be prepared to come into town . Cab was 4 €. It is a place to stay but nothing fancy. I would not rate it 4 stars. Wine selection was very basic. There are two little chapels on the back of the property that are very nice.

I stayed at the Famissi Eden Hotel one night. The staff is helpful and kind. The room was clean (except for a slipper that wasn't ours left under a table... the room had a view of the garden with swimming pool, clean bathroom but unfortunately the shower glass didn't close completely. Checked in during the off-season, and upgraded the room by two levels, which was very considerate. The room has a view of the boulder, and it only takes ten minutes to drive to the observation deck. The facilities are very new and clean. Very satisfied.

We paid for a room, they provided us a small apartment! We really love that place. :) The staff is very friendly, the room is comfortable and the location is super! the breakfast is good and tasty. We were with a dog (labrador) and paid 12 € per night for it. Recommend this lovely place - very close to the main street, free parking, good atmosphere and nice view.

At diner time, there was an unbearable noise generated by a group of young people. At no time, the person in charge of the dining room was able to draw their attention or those in charge of the group so that they would not disturb the rest of custumers. I visited and stayed at this hotel as part of my Meteora thrones trip. The hotel is very well located in the town and served by friendly and welcoming staff. However my room was outdated and the bathroom was very dark and shower did not work properly. But I understand they are currently renovating/updating the rooms. The monasteries truly have to be seen to see some unbelievable buildings, and to be lucky enough to actually visit one was a special experience. The night-life provided some nice restaurants, and dancing venues.

Large room, comfy bed, patio overlooking pool and Meteora. Buffet breakfast with hot and cold assortments. 15 minute drive from the monasteries. Definitely the best place to stay in the area.

Nice view but a bit pricey for what it offers

Excellent guesthouse at Kalabaka, just 5 mins walk from the station, the owners are extremely friendly and helpful! The room are in modern style with a great view! They provide handmade cake and pie for the breakfast, highly recommended and will definitely come again!

We absoultely loved this place. The view of the meteora rock from here is awesome and welcome warm and nice. We were lucky to be one of the first guest of the new rooms of the structure and of the new pool. We spent 3 fantastic days in Monastiri guesthouse.

Friendly, large family room and super host. Not everything was ready at the hotel and internet was out, but the owner made up to it with a delicious pie. Location is just south of the train station. Not really walking distance to the monasteries, but we had a car. Beds were a bit hard and wall sockets not on the most convenient places. Floors had steps, so careful at night... The hotel is located in the centre of Kalambaka. We had a very nice room with an amazing view to the Meteora Mountains from the huge balcony. The facilities are very good value for the price, but what is invaluable is the outstanding service. Gina at the front desk gave us precious tips, both for eating in town and for visiting the monasteries. 100% recommended.

I stayed here for one night to explore the Meteora Monasteries. The direct train from Athens leaves 8.30am and arrive in Kalambaka around 1pm. The hostel is a 5 mins walk from the station. No doubt the best hostel I have ever been to. The land lord and the lady are very friendly and supportive. The rooms are very cosy and welcoming. The bar is also awesome. Wonderful stay and well-worth the money! Location is perfect. My only complaint is that it says in booking they offer laundry service but it was not available at the time we arrived, which inconvenienced the rest of our trip a bit. It's possible it can be arranged if informed ahead of time. Otherwise, breakfast had a good variety of pastries and the staff was super kind and friendly!

The best hostel experience, so much so that I felt I should leave my first review on Google. Dora does a wonderful job at making the hostel feel like an extension of her home. Her cooking is very nice too. We had a lot of volunteers during our stay so everything was clean.

Dora was an amazing and caring hostess, plus a very good cook. Rooms were clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom, with a nice hot shower. A great place to stay when you are in Meteora.

I stayed for a week and the hosts were very open and kind. The hostel is on top of a beautiful old stone building with a terrace and an outdoor kitchen, views of the mountains. Dora, the owner cooks a delicious breakfast with many courses of homemade pies, eggs, her own feta, tomatoes and grapes. The location is exceptional.

What makes this place so amazing is the host. We've been traveling for over 9 days now & stayed in 5 different hostels in that time. This was easily the best host. Everything is good for traveling alone.

The hotel location was not bad, but the room was very small. I stayed for two nights, and on the second day, when I asked for two bottles of water, they said to buy them at the mart. I was embarrassed. I thought it was because it was so cheap. The front desk staff was often absent at the announced check-in/check-out times. I saw a guest wandering around in his car after arriving at around 8 PM. The...

Lovely location, easy to go to town and everywhere. The only problem is the tiny bathroom. You must be skinny, otherwise need to step into shower area, then close the bathroom door. Shower curtains was too short. All water on floor when shower. Could not put bath mat in the bathroom.

The double bedroom was small but with a great view of Meteora. Clean with a comfy bed and air con, the shower was compact. No lift if you have heavy cases and are on the 3rd floor. We didn’t have breakfast but that is available. A great base for tours or walking from Kalambaka up to the monasteries.

Nice hotel, very clean with everything working and very comfortable beds. It has a kitchen , a small terace for the room and parking. It's close to the city center but still it's placed in a very quiet area, right below the mountains. Great view out the window. The host offered suggestions for restaurants and sights to see.
