Just after entering the town, it is an old hotel with old facilities, but clean and sanitary. It is rare to have three beds that can sleep a family of four. The service staff are also very enthusiastic.

Nice rooms. Make sure to ask for the ones facing the rocks. Very good location, handy for restaurants and bars. Walking distance to train station and bus stop.
Exceptional staff. They are eager to help when needed.
The only minus point is that the hotel accommodates coach parties. It can get hectic and chaotic at times. Door slamming by unruly guests can be a nuisance. Perhaps something can be done to the door mechanism to improve on the situation if the guests are inconsiderate.

The pros: location is great and we had a balcony facing the monastery so it was a lovely view. The room and washroom were clean and the staff and food were very good.
The cons: no wifi on the rooms, we had two twin beds pushed together instead of a queen bed and most importantly, this may sound crazy, but I felt very unease on my room. Just had a creepy feeling about it; saw, heard and felt a couple things… I dont know if is just me, but I could hardly sleep. Just in case someone else feels it too, you are not alone.

The kosta famissi where I stayed at 1th floor was actually in a state: filthy bathroom with silicones full of moisture, bathroom with no amenities, mattresses sunken or unbalanced to one side, air conditioner making loud BEEPING noise every half an hour. I would not recommend this place unless you stay at the top floor which they have refurbished, so there are two types of comments from different perspectives.
One female staff who works at the buffet in morning shift, she really need to be well trained, she weirdly come across guests to clean up the coffee section while you are pouring coffee, and when she bump into the guest, she just gave a funny expression without saying anything.
The only good part is receptionists are friendly and being helpful.

The hotel is relatively old, but it is still clean and the decoration is very Greek. My friend and I booked a double room, but were given a quadruple room. The receptionist who received us was very enthusiastic and told us how to go up the mountain, how to take the bus, and how to eat. We arrived at the hotel relatively late, so we could choose to have a buffet at the hotel, which requires an additional fee. It is traditional Greek food. Except for the old equipment, the hotel is really good. You can also see the mountain view from the balcony of the room, which is very comfortable.

This Hotel has four stars but rooms are very dirty; dead slapped flies attached to the walls, shower and sink have a yellow circle around the drain, dust in every angle, dirty air filters in the bathroom, chewing gum stuck to the ground, etc.
Besides the food offered is very tasteless and for vegetarians it consists of no more than tzatziki, tomatoes, dry bread pieces, cucumber and a bit of steamed veggies in tomato sauce. Also, when neighbours have their TV on you can hear everything so for light sleepers this would be a big downside too.
The only benefit of this hotel is the location, which is in the middle of the city center.
It is that it was included in a booked tour to stay here, but I’d definitely not recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in the small town of Kalambaka. The hotel is relatively old and has been renovated for a long time. The room is also very small. The room can see the monastery in the sky. The view in the morning and evening is good.

A lovely family hotel. Very friendly atmosphere. The whole town was great, and all of us on tour went away with great memories. The monasteries truly have to be seen to see some unbelievable buildings, and to be lucky enough to actually visit one was a special experience. The night-life provided some nice restaurants, and dancing venues.
