Feichter Hotel & Bistro in Bolzano

I enjoyed my stay at Hotel Feichter so much that I was truly sad to leave. For one person, the attic room was very comfortable with adjustable temperature and immaculately cleaned every morning. Plus, it offered a breathtaking view. It is a very short walk from the train and bus stations, and my booking came with a Sudtirol guest pass that allowed access to all public transportation in the area! The offerings, value, and service here are phenomenal. The included breakfast provided plenty of fuel for alpine adventures. Best of all, the family who own it were extremely kind and friendly, providing great recommendations and answering all questions. When I return to Bolzano, I will not even think about booking anywhere else!

Pretty good value hotel in a central area of Bolzano and less than 10 minute walk from train station. (Bolzano hotel rates generally seemed more expensive than surrounding smaller cities/villages). Was traveling alone, so booked single room, which was smaller but perfectly fine for one person. Hotel participates in the Bolzano transit card program, which was useful if you don't have a rental car (covers buses/local trains in the entire region, as well as the Retton gondola, which runs right from town and recommend). The included breakfast here also was probably the best of anywhere I stayed over 2 weeks in Switzerland/Austria/Italy.

After a 10 hour flight, a 3 hour wait at the HBF in Munich & then a 4 hour train ride to Bolzano, when we arrived at Hotel Feichter, we got off the elevator & were greeted by the dark-haired guy with a rude toned “do you have a reservation?” No, hello, no smile, just crabby. When we answered, “yes, 4 nights”, still no welcome, like he was doing us a favor by letting us stay there. The hotel is an easy 5 minute walk from the train station along the park, to the center of town. Our room was clean, basic and comfortable. Good air-con, wifi, & large bath sheets for showering. The breakfast was basic cold alpine - nothing hot, but ample choice of cold meats & cheeses, cereals, fresh fruit and a variety of breads & jams. The ligher-haired guy working the breakfast each morning was so friendly, welcoming & very helpful- a huge contrast to the guy at the desk. Great location, with a nice market nearby, but the gelateria at the corner is the worst and skimpiest we’ve ever had. In spite of the rude introduction to the hotel, we had a good stay.

I stayed here one night in September with my two brothers in a three bed room. We really like this place, the staff was friendly and recommended a restaurant that was great. The room was clean and nice. It was also perfect that we could use the hotels garage even if it was located a couple of hundred meters away.

Stayed 6 nights in this family run hotel. It has to be one of the best we have ever stayed in, spotlessly clean, wonderful breakfast of quality food, quiet and located right in the centre of Bolzano.
The staff and family are extremely friendly, I highly recommend.

Incredible location, incredible 10/10 breakfast buffet, and it is so sweet to see multiple generations working together under one roof to bring such a great experience. Wonderful stay if you are in Bolzano.

Very friendly people. Very modern and clean room. Air conditioning was great since it was very hot 97F outside. Large shower with excellent water pressure . Great restaurant downstairs for breakfast and lunch. Location is close to everything for easy walking.

This is a good little hotel, conveniently located near the center of Bolzano. We stayed two nights in September and found it very comfortable. The room on the top floor, facing the street-side of the hotel and had a small balcony over the street. Most of the rooms face the back with some mountain views. The room and its bathroom were small, but clean and useful. The breakfast had variety, so one could pick something one liked, and of a typical, middling quality (esp. the juice and coffee). The breakfast service was friendly. We'd return.
